It's Expository Thursday, and although Dave doesn't like camping, things are getting "intense." Diving into Ephesians 4:17-18, TDSE points out that Paul's primary emphasis is for Christians to "be different" than the carnal man (which Paul calls Gentiles). These carnal people are marked by their futility. They have no worthwhile purpose as their purpose. And they are void in thinking regarding eternity, so they do not restrain their behavior. Too close it out, Dave points out that the carnal people are excessive in the "ignorance" because their hearts are hard. A hard heart creates calluses that don't allow touching from God. Christians need to have a sensitive heart to God.
