TOP EPISODE: A) It is not beyond our ability to read and understand. First, this is a direct condemnation of the religious elite that says that “they” must be the ones who teach because all the materials are too complex. Wrong and sinful. That does not mean we don’t need teachers to help us understand more profound principles and encourage us to grow. Still, it does mean anyone can get into the truth and encounter God. B) A double blessing. Yes, I know that Elisha wanted a double portion of the ministry and power of Elijah. But you and I are NOT them. This double blessing is simply referring to two great things that would come about because the Apostle Paul would see the Corinthians. Reading more into it is a fairy tale. That said, you can ALWAYS pray for a double blessing. Just don’t make it a formula. C) I will not spend a great deal of time on the “careless” part, which is translated silly in one other translation. This reference has NOTHING to do with humor and the Gospel. Only a Legalistic Larry and Lulu would think so. D) In Jesus, it is always Yes and Amen.
