1) We are merely human beings like yourselves. Wow. Don’t you wish that all of the people in front of the ministry, the ones on stage, would sit this a little more often? Pastor Kurt, from Stillwater, does a great job of this. But not many live in the humble. I would tend to listen and review with much greater intensity if the people speaking would remember that the division of true excellence is between Heaven and earth and by thirty or forty feet from the pulpit to the pew. 2) He never left Himself without a witness. Again, wow. We must remember that God will give everybody a fair shake to respond to his witness. Not every witness is the same. That is because not every person is not the same. But God knows what each person needs. And He will never fail to witness to His truth. A person under a lamb is a sign of righteousness in a godless nation. And the leading atheist has asked why God is so hard to find. That is because it takes faith to see. 3) And here is how flakey people are. In one moment, the people can hardly restrain themselves from offering sacrifices to Paul and Barnabas. They thought of the two messengers and ministers as God walking amongst them. After a few well-placed lies and deceptions, the people turned from believing that these two were gods to believing that they were goons. From gods to goons in the blink of a lie.

A) Treasure: The knowledge of God in the face of Christ. Earthen vessels are weak and fragile. This verse is virtually thematic for the entire letter, expressing the paradox of how weak human beings can be the instruments of the power of God (see 12:9, 10). The Spirit-Filled Study Bible.B) Jars of Clay: 4:7 this treasure. The gospel. Jars of clay. Treasures were sometimes concealed in clay jars, which had little value or beauty and did not attract attention to themselves and their contents. Here they represent Paul’s human frailty and unworthiness. NIV Study Bible.C) Pressed down, perplexed, persecuted, and struck down. My goodness, who wouldn’t want to be a Christian with all these fantastic things that take place in our lives as believers? Yep, it seems like this is a real opiate, according to. to Karl Mocks, I mean, Karl Marx. He thought this was a simplistic healing bomb for our soft psyches. That’s right. Being continually attacked spiritually is just like a party.D) The key is that with every one of these pushdowns and moments that touch and hurt us, there is always the bounce back because God is a God of redemption.

1) Then, next up, Brother Stan calls in to share a phenomenal testimony about his wife doing better and how gracious and kind the Lord is to all of us.
2) Everybody’s theology is holy. So, what does that mean? It does not mean that everybody’s theology is sanctified, purposeful, full of pity, separated under the Lord and full of Godliness. It means that everybody’s theology is like Swiss cheese, no matter who they are, where they are, and how confident they sound. The reason that it’s like Swiss Cheese is that there are various holes in different places for different theologies. So, you have two choices: take the holy, put it on the sandwich, and eat it. Or run away.
3) Towards the end of the show, Jay calls in to give Dave some encouraging words about the ministry and about the show. It's an extreme blessing, and the encouragement truly touches Dave. Thanks, Jay!

A) The show starts off with a bang, with Gary calling in for a prayer request for his wife, Sheila. And the Lord blesses our engagement. Gary has faith and praises the Lord, but he needs the faith of the children of God too.
B) This poor man cried out, and the Lord heard him. WOW. I remember the first time that this scripture came around in my journey. It was with my brother, who had a financial hardship. And he was poor and in dire straits. He asked for help from the Lord. I was a new believer at the time. And then Lord helped him. I was amazed that God got involved with people at this level. No, it’s not always about money. But yes, sometimes it is.

1) As we continue in chapter one of the Galatians, we get down to what many consider to be one of the most forceful passages in the New Testament. Paul says, in verse 8, let God’s curse fall on anyone, including himself, who preaches any other message than the one they were told about. People try to demonstrate that speaking evil of leaders generates much trouble with God. But the truth of the matter, according to The Scriptures, is that leaders who preach another gospel are to be cursed/ In fact, anybody who preaches another gospel, whether it’s human, angelic, or even a former faithful follower of Christ, is eternally cursed.2) Just in case most people missed Paul’s saying, he reiterates it all again in verse 9. He makes it very clear that somebody preaching a false gospel is to be cursed. Ironically, he uses the term “Angel” as only one significant variant of the Christian faith claims to have spun off from an angel. Think about it; it’s not too difficult to understand. When the angel has a name that’s close to moron, that’s bad.3) Paul finishes his thought by ensuring everybody understands that he is not trying to be a people pleaser. It is hard not to be a people pleaser because people are all around us, and we want to receive their acceptance. It hurts me personally when people reject me. But I have to turn my face towards Jesus and recognize that not only did He endure that, but He’s called you and me to be to endure the same.

Two specific powers are defined in Matthew. 1) Casting out spirits, and 2) Healing the sick. First on Matthew’s list is the need to be aware that the enemy has taken territory “inside people” in physical, psychological, and emotional capacities. The mission of the Disciples was to bring FREEDOM to people from this. That is mercy. The second purpose is to bring healing to the sick. This sickness leans more toward the results of sin entering the earth. That is grace.
Another amazing truth is that Jesus tells His disciples to pack light. That's right, contrary to excessive planning. There must be an element of faith combined with our willingness to enter into ministry. We don't enter in when everything's perfect.

1) As we go through Chapter 14 in the book of acts, we find Paul and Barnabas in Lystra and in Derbe. Become upon a man who is crippled in his feet. The tragedy is that this man has been this way from birth. So, if you consider this context, this man has never walked. But one thing he was able to do, and that was to listen. He listened intensely as Paul preached. What do we know about Paul preaching? We know it was about Jesus.
2) Now, here is an angle on ministry that we don’t often hear about. As Paul was preaching and teaching, He noticed something. He noticed the person who was crippled. He also realized that he had faith to be healed. Was this a natural gift? Most likely not. This is Paul operating in ministry and realizing that a person that’s listening to him has opened their hearts to the Gospel of Jesus Christ, for the glory of God, the Father, in the power of the Holy Spirit.
3) And then the scripture says Paul whispered. Just kidding. And then the scripture says that Paul called to him with a loud voice. And the man jumped and the man started walking. These are two things that this man had never done before. And when the people around them saw what was happening, They started shouting and screaming. What a moment to witness. But…

A) The truth is that there is Good News for us to rejoice in. The trouble is that those who cannot, will not, or do not receive the Good News will be perishing. The Gospel cannot be seen by those heading in the wrong eternal direction. They “can” turn to God and find eternal life. But as it sits, those who don’t get it (or want to get it) can’t see it. B) What? Is there a god of this world? Not on the same par as the Lord God. Here, the term means a “mini-god” or a lesser being. Those who worship satan will find out soon enough. The minds of those who WON’T believe are blinded so that they do not have the vision. Two big things here: The Gospel is seen as Light. The blinding by the enemy is pictured as darkness. This is spiritual warfare. C) The second big thingy is that the glory of Jesus Christ is the image of God. Stop trying to lessen or reduce Jesus. Hebrews 1:3 states, The Son is the radiance of God’s glory and the exact representation of His nature, upholding all things by His powerful word.D) This Gospel is not about how great we are. It is not about how great our lives are. It’s not about the fun and whimsy of the Christian journey. It’s all about the glory of Jesus Christ.

1) So every once in a while, I bring a “Back to the Basics” message to help each one of us, especially me, to keep on the “Follow the leading of the Lord” trail. For reference’s sake, all my material is at least two thousand years old. And some of it is older than that. We dive into the realm of power. The key to understanding God is that He does NOT CARE about power to the people. Or entitlements. Or cultural appropriations. He rules. Step down.
2) I am very confident that we have a limited understanding of the powers of the Pharaohs or the powerful kings of the past. I am even more confident that when Daniel interpreted the dream regarding the statue, he made it clear who was the reigning human power ONLY regarding other human dynasties. If the Roman Empire were the feet, with toes which we mixed with iron and clay, that the head honcho of human dynasties is the dude on top in Gold.
3) So we will examine the Gold head of the statue, the runaway prophet, and the first two kings of Israel. Then, we will bring a conclusion to the matter. And here it is: God rules in the affairs of men. The people who live in America are blessed indeed. But God has not taken His hands off of the earth, especially since He redeemed it through the blood of Jesus. By the way, to redeem something is to buy it back. NO process in America happens before God that goes unnoticed. Nothing. There is a RIGHT way to respond to everything. It’s called: The Jesus Way.

A) I will bless the Lord at ALL times. But Dave, you can’t say “Praise the Lord” all the time. O.K. Now I see the problem. Because all things work out together for good, we can, by faith, always praise the Lord. But Dave, you can’t say “Praise the Lord” all the time. O.K. Now I see the problem. When we say such things, we are not being Bible believers. Why do I say this? Because it says: I will bless the Lord at ALL times.
B) He delivered me from all my fears. But Dave, you can’t say “from ALL of our fears.” O.K. Now I see the problem. Because all things work out together for good, we can, by faith, always believe that god will deliver us…ALWAYS. Dave, you can’t say “from ALL of our fears.” O.K. Now I see the problem. When we say such things, we are not being Bible believers. Why do I say this? Because it says: He delivered me from ALL my fears.

1) The Apostle Paul writes that he is shocked that people are turning away so soon from God. The reason that Paul is shocked is that God is a God of love and mercy. The irony is that people turning away are NOT doing so because they’re unworthy. It is because the love and mercy from God are not enough to feed their flesh. In fact, this entire epistle revolves around the difference between the old man and the new man. Guess which one God prefers?
2) This next portion of scripture could easily be understood as the Gospel in a verse. It states that God shares eternal life, which He gives through Christ. You know by now that I love theology in a variety of ways. But I also love the power of the simplicity of the Gospel. And Paul, in another letter, was concerned that people would be removed from the simplicity of the Gospel. Here it is. God shares eternal life and gives the sharing and the eternal life through Jesus.
3) Paul then chastises the church by informing them that they’re following a different Gospel, a gospel that pretends to be the true Gospel. But it is not the true gospel. This should be a significant warning to every Christian. There are false gospels. There are false proclamations of God’s truth and Good News. There are false messiahs and false Jesuses. And the only way to distinguish what is false is to know what is true. That’s why the Scripture says, “Don’t be deceived.”

A) Matthew 10 starts off with Jesus selecting His 12 disciples. He had many people to choose from. Another account of Jesus, during His section process, states that He prayed all night. He did not choose by throwing darts. He chooses more wisely than the grasshopper in Kung Fu. And amongst them was a despised tax collector, smelly fishermen, a day napper, and a political hack with evil intent named Judas.
B) Jesus gave them authority to BRING THE KINGDOM. Now, I am deeply aware that there are people that claim that this commission was only for the Twelve. And anyone hanging with Jesus, and seeing the miracles, would have a high level of expectation. But this same commission happened a second time in Matthew 28:18-20. And there are NOT too many who believe The Great Commission given to the Twelve was only for the Twelve.
