1) If I have sinned, what is that to you: When we sin, it is a drag (job 35:6 > If you sin, how does that affect him? If your sins are many, what does that do to him). But when we sin, the impact is harshest for ourselves in our engagements with the Lord. No, you and I won’t be cast aside. But, yes, you and I will have muddy waters. Our sin affects our relationship with God, but NOT our eternal relationship with God. We need to know the difference in order to keep the enemy from getting a foothold.2) However, in this case, Job didn’t sin with his reaction to the trial. He passed with flying colors. He did falter after this, for about 29 chapters. But he initially did a stellar job. And then he dropped into the sinkhole because of his crummy interpretations of what was happening. Let’s see how many of us are just like Job. 3) Oh, that my words could be recorded. We are in luck. Yep, we never have to worry. Why? Because if God is omniscient, He knows every word. He knows every thought. He knows every feeling. He knows every possible nuance about us, including our breath. So, yeah…nothing to worry about.4) Even after all of his post-trial whining, Job still has a moment of clarity. He recognizes that God lives now and forever. And when Job is done, and his body has decayed, there is a sliver of dramatic hope: without my body (translation literalistic), he will still, somehow, see God. His faith lives!

A) Jesus gave Himself for all. That is how God showed His love to the world. Not by accepting everyone’s sins but by providing a solution for our sins. Accepting everyone’s sin by approving of it is demonic in nature, like the Church of England, which has been severed from the head of the body, which is Jesus Christ. Or the SPLC, which is deviant and demonic in their protection of evil people, evil philosophies, and evil entities.
B) Paul was appointed. In his case, he was appointed (tith-ay-me, to place) to be a preacher (perhaps, first), an Apostle, and a teacher. God made Paul these things. He placed him in these things. God has a “placement” for you and me. It is often not one thing and only one time. That’s why we go with the flow.

1) So too many of you who listen to this show know that I have a few soapboxes by which I go to the matt for. Abortion is murder. How about this: Your body, your choice, your murder! It’s Adam and Eve, not Adam and Steve. God doesn’t create mistakes; people’s sin creates mistakes. And never ever confuse the Big G with the little g. This last one we will examine in the Good Book today. It’s NOT anti-government. It’s Pro-God.
2) Sergio asks a brilliant question
3) I remember the Fruit of the Loom commercials from the past. They were like the California Raisins commercials, fun and innocent. But fruit is a very important principle in the New Testament. And here is a challenging thought: two major fruit types exist. Fruit for right and fruit for wrong, fruit for light and fruit for darkness, fruit for God and NOT fruit for God. But every tree, every person - produces fruit, according to Jesus. 4) Dave answers three ways you KNOW you are saved.

A) The last of the Moses review in the chapter on the champions of the faith. But wait, Dave. Isn’t this a clear contradiction? Moses fled Egypt because he was afraid of Pharoah. But here it says, He wasn’t afraid but was looking to Him who is invisible. That is a great observation, but no contradiction. Dave offers four different points of view.
B) By faith, Moses made as plain as day how atonement works, what it takes, and what it does. Judgment comes from God. A destroying angel. Blood is applied to the children of God. And the judgment passes over the people in this fashion.
C) By faith, they crossed the Red Sea. It’s wild. But it’s what happens when we believe God and take a step forward. We find DRY land. Not muddy walkways. Exodus 14:15 states, The LORD said to Moses, “Why do you cry to me? Tell the people of Israel to go forward.

A) In Chapter 4 of Second Corinthians, Paul points out that we have received this ministry. The emphasis is on the word we as in you, me, him, and everyone who belongs to the Lord.
B) This portion of the verse is the key to understanding how ministry works. Through the mercy of God. In other words, when we involve ourselves in ministry, we bring skills, understanding, wisdom, and many things to the table. Most of the time, they differ from person to person, but they all come from one flow. And that flow is the mercy of God.
C) We don't lose heart because of God’s mercy and endless kindness. That means that, although we should never practice sin, we can never lose sight of the fact that we are sustained through HIS mercy.
D) Paul then contrasts practicing sin with the proclamation of truth. The more we proclaim the truth, the more practicing deceit weakens in our lives. It’s a nifty little key. Speak the truth often. There you go.

1) After Paul and Barnabas made such effective inroads into the people’s lives through their preaching, the religious leaders got exceedingly jealous. Nothing new here. They were so filled with darkness that they convinced the influential women and the leaders to run Paul and Barnabas out of town. The most amazing part of this text is what happens after they were persecuted for the Gospel. They were filled with joy. And the abundance of the Holy Spirit dwelt in them. That’s a pretty good return for persecution.2) Paul and Barnabas preached with such power that many people believed the Gospel message. But again, jealousy rears its head and this. And this time, in Iconium, the religious leaders stirred up distrust and made up lies in slanders against Paul and Barnabas. This kind of stuff is not new. You might see it in the news today, but it’s been happening for thousands of years.
3) But here is a key to understanding the power of the gospel, and not just when Jesus was on the earth, but afterward. Not just with the original 12 but afterward with Paul and Barnabas, who were not of the original 12. They proved their message was true by doing miraculous and wonderful signs. The proclamation of the Gospel, when people get healed, when the blind people see, when demons are cast out, gives a lot of validity to what’s being spoken. That’s the purpose of miracles amongst the unbelievers. Power Evangelism.

1) Praise the Lord; we have arrived at Easter 2023. And as I’ve said in the past and will say in the future, You have heard much of this material before and will hear much of it again. In fact, if we hear 100 more sermons on Easter, we are all the more blessed because of it. We have to start with the most important elements of our faith: the basic understanding of the Good News. The good news saves us, the Good News keeps us, and the Good News will be with us for all eternity.
2) My favorite understanding of Easter for every Christian is next up. But most specifically for myself. When Mary encounters Jesus in the garden, she doesn’t exactly know who He is. Not initially, anyway, But then Jesus speaks and Mary hears her Lord. This is the core of our faith. That Jesus, who is supposed to be dead, has been resurrected, never to die again. And in His resurrected voice, He speaks to us. Have you heard the Lord call your name? You have heard the voice of the resurrected Jesus, the Messiah.
3) A few Christians like to argue about eternal security. Cool. At least they are not arguing about which football team is better, The Dallas Cowboys or the Detroit Lions. There is not a question about it; it A’INT the Lions. But the reality is that God is not “into” insecurity. To be insecure is not to be safe. In, which means no. And secure, meaning safe. Proverbs 21:31 states, The horse is prepared against the day of battle: but safety is of the LORD. In the Lord, we are safe. So, in that sense, we are eternally secure.

It's Passover 2023, and David lights the story on fire by bringing in the connection between Christians and Jews regarding the Passover without hesitation. He demonstrates that Jesus is the perfect Passover sacrifice with no bones broken and no flaws and sacrificed at the exact time that the requirements call for from the Lord. Amazing stuff. Additionally, the Spoon-man discusses how Jesus is the lamb of God, the Passover, by his own self-identification and by the identification from others throughout the New Testament.

1) There are so many cool things in life. Who doesn’t love a scenic sunset or sunrise painted by God? Oh, by the way, the less-than-noble scientists claim that we see these things because of the pollution particles in the air from the industrial revolution. Small problem: These nature pictures are described thousands of years ago too. I guess The Psalms is not on their summer reading list. Oops. But these portraits, or even the vastness of the oceans, do not give us our greatest joy. Hmm.
2) The Book of Proverbs is so cool. From chapter one to chapter to chapter 31, there is a plethora of practical and biblical insight. But as we dig deeper, we discover that some wise sayings come from a gift God gave Solomon. That gift, wisdom or a discerning heart is shown by the Holy Spirit working through Solomon, even though the king has some serious difficulties. We examine the exegetical breakdown of a proverb to appreciate the level of wisdom being granted. It holds more than any human mind can develop.
3) If you are culturally sensitive or believe that people rob other cultures, please remove your underwear, as it is not of Gentile origin. On the other hand, if you appreciate the Tomahawk Chop, you will love this DDD entitled “Be Careful Kemosabe.” We examine the practical reality that not every ministry is OUR cup of tea (A British reference). We will always encounter differences in people and their approach to the Lord. Twelve tribes, One Israel. Divisions are demonic, BUT differences can be a great source of joy for mature believers. Only God Himself is always right. Not you or me.

A) As we’re winding down in Chapter 9, we come across a story illustrating how religious people do not believe in God. Jesus casts out an evil spirit. But the Pharisees can’t handle it because it means that what He has to say is right. God gives confirmation with signs. So instead of attributing it to God, they attributed it to Satan as some crafty, magical, don’t look behind the curtain moment.
B) Next up, we see Jesus as He travels through the different cities and villages, which tells us that He’s not just a metropolitan guy. He’s teaching people about the good news, the gospel of being saved from their sins. And healing wherever He goes. One of the reasons that He’s effective in His ministry, something good for us to note, is that He genuinely pitied the people and their struggles.
C) Finally, Jesus tells his disciples. The harvest is great, but the workers are few. How do we need to resolve this problem? Jesus tells us to pray to the Lord. Ask Him to send more people. Ask Him to send more ministers. The problem with politicians blaming guns is the reality that people's hearts ed to be changed. That's why we need to ask the Lord to help us with ministers for the kingdom so that people's hearts can be changed. Without guns, people in their hearts would still commit murder but just use something else. Cain used a rock.

1) Because we’re about to clarify material that gets somewhat redundant. I’m only gonna cherry pick some of the better pieces that take place between Job and his wonderful friends. But you will see some repeat materials coming back and forth. The biggest one appears to be, “I am smarter than you. No, I’m smarter than you. You’re dumber than me. No, you’re dumber than me.” And somehow, that does just not appear to be the great wisdom of God.
2) In Job’s fifth speech, he says, “I would speak in a way that helps you. I want to help take away your grief.” I bring this up because we need to be careful about what we do with our words. When we speak to people, we should speak in a way that helps them. Our goal should be to encourage them and strengthen them. And if they’re hurting in any capacity, even from repentance, our goal should be to help them with their grief.
3) Job also says, “I lived quietly until you have broken me apart.” Should the clay say to the Potter, “Why have you made me thus?” We are God’s creation. And what He created us with, gifted us with, or allowed in our lives has a purpose beyond our brains. This all comes down to the same place for an earnest Christian. It comes down to TRUST.

A) Who desires all men to be saved: Yep, that’s what God wants. But that’s not what He’s going to get. Per se. Mankind, in rebellion to God, has set itself on the course of judgement and towards hell, which is eternal separation from God. It is described as a form of burning. Almost a desire that can never be fulfilled. Eternal disappointment.
B) Come to the knowledge of the truth. The smartest people in the world are the dumbest people in the world for denying God, His truth, and His answers to the questions of humanity. Jesus is the truth. Apart from this testimony from God, people are going off the human cliff of judgment.
C) To emphasize this REALITY CHECK, One God, One Mediator, Jesus Christ. The answer to getting to God and His truth is reiterated right here for yet, another witness. The only way is through Jesus. He is the door. Outside of Him, God will be showing people another door. Jesus is THE Solution.
