A) Humble yourself. Let’s see if we can work this out in wisdom. God offers us to make the decision to humble ourselves. If we don’t, He certainly will. If we can’t, then we SHOULD ask His help because we want to be more like Jesus. Whatever it takes to reflect Jesus more…B) This is the secret sauce. If we humble ourselves, God will exalt us at the right time. That exaltation is not about being on par with Jesus. Settle down, Sparky. It’s about being placed, by God, in a place, moment, position, and/or situation of honor. C) Here is a marvelous connection; we are given a gift between humbling ourselves and God’s perfect timing of exalting us. The gift is the ability to cast our care on HIM. This enables us to be removed from the power of anxiety against us.

1) It can be challenging to journey against the spirit and feelings of loneliness. Somewhere, in the back of our thoughts, is this idea (rather a lie) that we are not worthy to have someone be close to us the way we so desire it to be. The bigger problem is that because we are people and there are people all around us, we long for that high level of connection. YES, pets can be tremendous. I love, love, love my dogs—most of the time. But I need something deeper. Something even more profound than my best human friend can give me. What a friend we have in Jesus. 2) As many of you know, I tend to lean on the most practical side of our Christian faith. So I’m not too fond of movement or formulas. They create more problems than they solve. But I love what Paul said in 2nd Corinthians: “We also believe and therefore speak.” That is called being biblical. Let’s do that.

A) If we deliberately go on sinning. This is not the same as the besetting sin mentioned two chapters later. This is a deliberate lifestyle of sin. It has to do with pride. No, it is not exclusive to the Pride Community but includes them. This is a defiant conscience decision to sin and remain in rebellion against God’s truth. B) If the Law of Moses delivered a crushing judgment, how much more the sinful life that insults the Son of the living God? Amazingly, the author of Hebrews then pivots and throws the reality that many professing people INSULT the Spirit of Grace, the Holy Spirit. This is ONE of the reasons that I try to be a little more careful with the genuine Christian who sees things differently than other believers. I’m confident of the truth. But I am more confident in the Holy Spirit’s ability. to lead each believer than I am of my own wisdom.

TOP EPISODE: 1) At some point, after the pride is laid down, the people of God start to get it. Instead of trying to box in how God brings the Gospel to mankind, there has to be a surrender and a ride-along that takes place. I have been on a police ride-along in Scottsdale, Arizona, with officer Gary Nelson. We drove down the wrong side of the road at high speeds to check out a burglary. Guess what the person riding along gets to do? Not much, but smile and hold on. 2) The church always claims to be in the desire of the early church. Not so much. The early church was spreading out because of the persecution and death of Stephen. The believers were scattering for their lives. In our present-day church, we complain if we are asked to invite someone to church or pass out tracks. They were in fear for their lives. We are in fear of embarrassment. It’s not the same. 3) The scattered believers preached the Gospel and God was with them. People were being impacted towards the kingdom of God. Barnabas was sent to help. Barnabas did the single smartest thing a leader can do when he saw that God was churning out salvations through these believers. He did nothing because he could see that God was in control and getting it done. He didn’t quench the move of the Spirit in the hearts of the people. The best leadership enables good to happen.

TOP EPISODE: A) It is not beyond our ability to read and understand. First, this is a direct condemnation of the religious elite that says that “they” must be the ones who teach because all the materials are too complex. Wrong and sinful. That does not mean we don’t need teachers to help us understand more profound principles and encourage us to grow. Still, it does mean anyone can get into the truth and encounter God. B) A double blessing. Yes, I know that Elisha wanted a double portion of the ministry and power of Elijah. But you and I are NOT them. This double blessing is simply referring to two great things that would come about because the Apostle Paul would see the Corinthians. Reading more into it is a fairy tale. That said, you can ALWAYS pray for a double blessing. Just don’t make it a formula. C) I will not spend a great deal of time on the “careless” part, which is translated silly in one other translation. This reference has NOTHING to do with humor and the Gospel. Only a Legalistic Larry and Lulu would think so. D) In Jesus, it is always Yes and Amen.

1) As we prepare for the New Year, we want to make sure to stand firm in Every Victory Acknowledged (EVA). Not legalistically, but we need to be (and should want to be) aware that we need to “UP” our praise ante. We have covered (on this show and in ten thousand churches and ministries) the need to have hope and confidence for our future. And we would stand firm in that truth and wisdom. So, in today’s sharing, we will put forth a practical strategy to help with this. 2) This credit for this strategy is always, and should always be, given to Jesus. Since He spoke the truth and He, Himself, is the truth, that’s where the credit starts. And we find that Jesus often uses people to help us see, seize, or submerge into the truth. So, in this case, while it has been a long-taught lesson from my own walk, Noelle gets the credit for how this teaching was formed. 3) The reality is that when she and I discussed some of our trials, she brought the truth that Jesus spoke to light, which clarified our pathway. I often fail at this, but I never stop trying. Each step is a classic piece of wisdom that tells us how to engage practically with the future.

A) The Rock: The God of my salvation. God is the real rock. Strong, reliable, and something to build your eternal home on. B) I don’t want to be like those who end up dead. That’s what it’s like, lord, if You don’t respond to me. Lift up my hands: Stop thinking it’s weird for people to lift their hands. It’s not, and it’s biblical (20 times). We got to stop the stuffy. C) Evil is in their hearts. But Dave, there is good in everyone. Not according to God, and since He is the Creator of mankind, His opinion counts more than people’s opinions. D) They don’t regard God’s works, which means they are evil and will be destroyed by God. So much for God won’t allow anyone to go to hell. If people want to go there, they can choose to. Worse than that, He won’t build them up if they continue disregarding His hands’ operations.

1) It is undeniable that the world and our circumstances carry a heavy weight. But the solution is ALWAYS centered in the Kingdom of God, and I, God Himself. So, if you or I am looking for peace that keeps the universe in place, this is the key. Where we find our peace is where we place our focus. Argue all you want, but the reality is that where we place our minds is where we find our grace. 2) The most significant difference between believing and receiving is the believing part. It is impossible to SEE without belief. I understand that the word approaches this as I will believe when I see it. Still, God commands this approach… I will see when I believe. Choose wisely, grasshopper.

A) Let us draw near: He is the problem. From the Garden of Eden on, we know that drawing near requires help. We have this testimony in the Law as the high priest can only enter into the presence once a year, into the very existence of God. And it is in the presence of God we find true relief from our sin. B) There is, without being freaky, this needs to stand firm in our confession. Let's make this simple; we believe that Jesus is the son of the living God. This is the greatest story ever for science fiction fans, way past area 51. Jesus, who was not of this earth, came to earth to help the earth—calling Steven Spielberg, calling George Lucas…hello! C) Hey…here is a brilliant thought: Let’s watch out for, take care of, think about, consider, ponder, express before God, and lay our hearts out before God for our brothers and sisters in Jesus Christ.

1) This happened three times; Then three men. How many signs would Peter need? Let’s see; He denied Jesus three times. He was redeemed by Jesus three times. He was a serious part of Peter, James and John, known as the Three. And he was having a vision three times, and there were three men that arrived to meet him. Wow. Three, three, three, three, three, …got it. 2) The Holy Spirit told me: Okey, okay, this is the problem with MOST Christians. He, according to the scriptures, which the Holy Spirit wrote in partnership with Mankind, told Peter this: “Go with them and do not worry.” I just want to verify with each person that the Holy Spirit told him this, and the scripture is making mention of this AFTER…the outpouring of the Spirit. 3) Wow! It’s extremely amazing that as Peter is recounting the experience, there are angels deeply involved in this process. Stop being surprised at this type of teaching. Hebrews 13:1-2 states, Keep on loving one another as brothers and sisters. 2 Do not forget to show hospitality to strangers, for by so doing some people have shown hospitality to angels without knowing it. That’s right, Matthew Ward had it going on...Angels unaware!

A) This could be one of the greatest unknown texts in the Word of God. Get used to it because this is how I will address about 300 concepts within the scriptures in this book. 2 Corinthians deserves its place on the hall of fame for the “wow, that is so cool” walk of faith. B) Let’s get together and get a grip. The past, present, and future are in a sectional verse. He “has,” “will’ and “yet again” deliver us from because he has, will, and will again deliver us. This is the key to so many truths. He has. He will. And He will again. Grasp this and find the freedom it offers to deliver your struggles. C) As you help us by your prayers: So, along with Romans 15:30, which states, I urge you, brothers and sisters, by our Lord Jesus Christ and by the love of the Spirit, to join me in my struggle by praying to God for me… is this verse which makes it clear that prayer is a partnership.

The David Spoon Experience roles on without any preparation or notes because the brilliant David Spoon forgot his bag at home. But the Lord was merciful to the crowd and to the host. Eric asks a great question which is followed up by a Holy Spirit moment of Joyanne promoting Pastor Ray Bentley's material. Of course, unknown to everybody was that a Pastor Ray fill was placed there by Jennifer weeks ago. Coincidence, I think not.
