A) Keep on sinning. Not a struggle with besetting sin, but the understanding that because we are Christians, we don’t have to function in habitual sins, ever. That power has been broken in our lives when we walk “in” Christ. B) The One: referring to Jesus. And Jesus protects us. Notice that when Satan asked to attack one of His disciples, He is aware and involved. C) Watch this: The world is under Satan’s power, which is why we cannot have friendship with the world. Not people, at their core, but philosophies and systems influenced by demons. D) We know Jesus. He is the true God. This means that we get eternal life. Because He fills the hole in our hearts that cries out to live forever.

1) It’s against the Jewish Laws, but God has shown me. So, here we can unpack the two monumental principles that the New Testament has brought to the forefront. It’s not the elimination of the Jewish people, but it is a distinct change in the Jewish Laws. And Peter gets this fundamental principle. You have grown up this way, but now it goes this way. Hold on a second. Didn’t Jesus say this in the sermon on the mount? By Jove, I think we’ve got it. 2) I should never think of anyone as impure. This could be a bit of what our show is all about. But, no. I don’t care about your denominational background. I care that you have an authentic relationship with Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, given as a gift from God the Father through His grace and the empowerment of the Holy Spirit. Our unity is in the Godhead. This does not include how the end comes about. Psalm 119:63 states, I am a companion to all who fear you and those who keep your precepts. 3) God gives people messages. Guess how He does that? His Word, nature, dreams, miracles, and circumstances are through prayer. But what is one of God’s most common ways to speak to people? Through other people. What does that mean? That means that we need to listen up a little more often and a little more carefully.

1) I cannot confess enough of my sin that justifies this teaching. A large part of me absolutely expects the best from God simply because He is the best. But another part of me struggles with believing this verse: Proverbs 10:22 states, It is the blessing of the LORD that makes rich, And He adds no sorrow to it. Allow me to rephrase. I believe God blesses me, and the other shoe doesn’t just drop on my head because I have been blessed. But I tend to think that another show is coming into play that will give me a kick in the pants. 2) By the way, that level of expectation is sinful because of the lack of quality it inputs to God. First, to have a lack of anticipation for the generosity of God is to assign Him the title of Tightwad. Next, a lack of expectation reduces our functional faith, which diminishes our method of pleasing God. It says we pray for great things, but without saying it to anyone, we really don’t expect great things. That isn’t good. 3) As is the key in virtually every powerful Christian principle, there is something we have to do to get past this childish (or demonic) attitude about God. It is an essential key to receiving from His bountiful hand. It is called…making a decision. And it’s called …standing in that decision.

A) Have you ever had the Lord teach you something special, in His word or testimony, that blew your socks off? If this has happened to you, that proves that you fear the Lord. Not too shabby. B) Dwell in prosperity is incredible. But it does not simply point to finances. Part of that prosperity is directly connected to legacy. Not just offspring but also how God used you to leave something behind for others.
C) The secret of the Lord: This has to do with closeness in friendship. And close friends share stuff. Cool personal stuff. D) Pull my feet out of the net. I’m stuck and unable to move. Did you ever feel like you were caught in a hunter’s trap? It is God that can get you out.

1) To open up today’s show, we are going to do something a little different. We are going to examine a passage that has created complexities for many; it may not be as tricky as we examine it word by word and principle by principle. The text is coming from 2 Kings 2. The portion has to do with Elisha. An issue is a group that insults the prophet. The surprise actors in this drama are the she-bears that responded to the command of God. The result is much deeper than what first appears. A politician said he would never believe the Bible with a story like this. It’s nothing short of God sending him strong delusions for that guy to believe a lie (2 Thess. 2:11). 2) We visit our great friend, Pastor Ray, who is not “gone” but hanging with JC and not forgotten because his kingdom efforts will endure for eternity. Pastor Ray writes about compassion. His power of compassion is released in our lives and other lives all around us through the love of Jesus and the power of the Holy Spirit. The power of God’s compassion is glorious. And without His compassion in operation, we will never see the REAL miracle power of God. We miss you, brother.

A) Peter’s House: O boy. We are gonna have a challenge coming up. Peter had a house. We do an injustice to the scriptures when we say Jesus had no center of operations. But Dave, the Son of Man, has nowhere to lay His head. True, but when He said that, he was visiting a different territory. V. 18 states, Now when Jesus saw a crowd around him, he gave orders to go over to the other side. Sorry.

1) Keep in mind that as we travel into Job, that some of the STATEMENTS are biblically correct by themselves. We will spend some time highlighting what these statements mean. But the spirit with which they were delivered and the three friends’ condemnation of Job shed light on why God was angry with them. The three friends assumed Job had sinned. They were wrong, just like Job’s evaluation will be wrong. They assumed they knew why and what God was doing with Job. That false assumption led them to sin. 2) There is nothing wrong with this statement on the surface (get used to this phrasing from me regarding this Job study). What a man sows, so shall he reap. This is testified to in Galatians 6:7. However, for those keeping score, Karma causality is about 400 years behind the biblical principles in the Old Testament. 3) Can something that is stained be as pure as something that is not stained? No. Let’s say you have a brand-new white bedsheet. It’s pristine. Your first grader sits in the middle of the sheet with her permanent marker. You see an unbleachable stain where a marker has bled onto the sheet. You can sew as much new white fabric to the edges as you wish, but it will not undo the fact that there is a huge stain in the middle of the sheet. Adding material around the stain doesn’t remove the stain. The stain has to be covered or cut out. In the same way, adding good works does not pay for bad works.
