1) Because it is hard for us to keep pure hearts clean and our minds pure, we need to be honest and willing to ask for help. However, it is not a coincidence that this prayer is connected to the same Psalm that reminds us that God continually speaks to us through His universe, day and night. He also speaks to us through His Law, day and night. His communications are so powerful that they can restore our souls, day or night. And we need His help, day and night. 2) There are so many things swirling about this world of ours. And the Media is faithful in pointing out that there are disasters, no matter your political position. And the government is faithful in pointing out that if things are great, it is because of them, not God. And if things are lousy, it’s not because of them, so blame anyone else. But God tells us to settle. 3) Why does leadership matters? Because lousy leadership can incur God’s wrath in this country and every country. Unfaithfulness to the Lord can bring any government into trouble. Is America in trouble? I wonder why.

1) We have the most incredible technology in human history. Frequently, it can be used for good. In moments, the world around us can be informed. But there have been great communication systems for a while. For example, in the book of Acts, after a miracle, one person tells another, who tells another, and so on. Soon enough, the whole city is filled with information. As a result, a revival took place in an entire community. YES…it can still happen. 2) Peter stayed a long time with Simon, the tanner. Jaffa and is located 40 miles northwest of Jerusalem. It perches on a high cliff overlooking the Mediterranean Sea and served as the port city for Jerusalem. A tanner is a leather maker. Simon was in the business of treating animal hides to produce leather, a trade considered unclean by the Jews of his day. Peter stayed with a socially deplorable person. I hope we would be willing to as well. 3) Enter Cornelious. Enter the gentile infusion into the church, not the gentile confiscation of the church. That would be contrary to God’s promise to Isreal and to the authentic Jews. Cornelious was not the power broker that many try to portray him as. He was an officer and influential. But more than his position was his heart. He wanted more of God in his life.

A) The Spirit, the water, and the blood. The Spirit is first. That’s verified by Genesis 1:1, and the Spirit of God was hovering over the waters. The earth was built upon the waters, which is why water is so essential to humanity: Psalm 24:2, for he founded it on the seas, and established it on the waters. And all life is connected to blood, Leviticus 17:14, The life of every creature is in its blood. B) We easily and often accept human testimony. Here’s some “be honest” proof. We read or hear a headline, and it grabs our attention. This is the testimony of people. But God’s testimony is not polluted. It is more sure than people, let alone what people have to say. C) The testimony that gid had given regarding His Son is the Gospel. If we believe in Jesus, that testimony lives within us. If we don’t believe, God calls us “liars.”

1) Here is what we know about the book of Revelation: 1) Those that read it are blessed. 2) It has applications to the past, the present, and the future. 3) Those that avoid this book do themselves a disservice. 4) The truths of God speak fresh to every generation because the word of God is alive. 5) God created the universe. Therefore, He can write a book. 2) Who are the people who hold the testimony of Jesus? It is those who “hold the testimony of Jesus.” It is me, it is you, it is those before us, and it is those after us. The critical component is that the testimony is HELD. It is kept. It is worn. It is maintained. It is owned. And it is in the perfect present tense. 3) One of the biggest problems is walking in an appropriate tension between the trials, temptations, testing, and the tempter. Satan gets too much attention from time to time in some churches. Satan receives no attention whatsoever in other churches. The right amount of attention would likely mirror the amount that Jesus gave to the enemy. It’s roughly the same amount that Jesus talked about love.

A) This is Jacob: Jacob’s name is Israel. Israel is the apple of God’s eye. Who really is Israel? Those only born there (from geography) or those born of God? B) Romans 2:29 states, No, a person is a Jew who is one inwardly; and circumcision is circumcision of the heart, by the Spirit, not by the written code. Such a person’s praise is not from other people, but from God. C) True descendants of Jacob seek Him. We seek His face. D) The gates and doors are open to the true King. The true King is Jesus, who is the King of Kings.

1) How is it possible to give a ten percent offering with a generous spirit? Here is the key to giving (Yes, it’s about biblical giving). When you give to God, it’s NOT the amount; it’s the spirit. Spare change? Then God should give to you the “spare change” and nothing more. Here is the key! God is looking at my heart and at your heart. Is it always perfect? Not likely. Is it fake? God knows. 2) The whole heart is significantly more important than the entire law. This is EXACTLY what Jesus taught. Your heart is the key ingredient to understanding the purposes of God. If your heart is contrary, then you fight against the word. If it is in submission to God’spuposes, then you rejoice when the Spirit of God challenges you. It;’s not about being perfect; it’s about being more like Jesus. 3) We visit our great friend, Pastor Ray, who is not “gone” but hanging with JC and not forgotten because his kingdom efforts will endure for eternity. Pastor Ray writes about forgiveness. And His power of grace is released in our lives and other lives all around us. The power of God’s forgiveness is glorious. But can there be a limit? Do we want God to have a limitation with us? No. We miss you, brother.

A) The centurion came to Jesus: There are no contradictions related to this story’s different accounts. The Gospels are not “history” books, although they are HIS STORY books. The Gospels are four different accounts from four different perspectives of the same events. One elephant, four sides. B) A centurion is in charge of about 100 soldiers. How do we know that? A century is 100 years. Get it? He needs help. He is not used to needing help. But when the realm is beyond us, we go to God. C) He comes on behalf of another. His servant. Not his special friend, as the perverted and twisted LGBTQRSTUV would claim. On the contrary, he cared for the people under him like a decent human being. D) Am I to come…or I will come…makes no difference to the truths being taught. Because the soldier said, “You don’t need to go,” we can at least surmise that Jesus was willing to go. But the soldier knew something that we often miss.

1) You talk like a godless woman: Contrary to popular positions, this wife is not a non-believer. You don’t say “curse God” if you are a disbeliever. You say this when you are so mad at Him that you freak out. You say this when you are so hurt you can’t understand what is happening. You say this when you misunderstand God. 2) In all this: Here is the most honest question, which we get an answer for in Job 32. Should we (including you and me) accept good from God, not Bad? But, wait for a second: Can bad come from God? The answer to this question depends on our understanding of God. If everything good is God and everything bad is not God, it sounds great, But it’s not scriptural. 3) It is certainly NOT that God is bad. But bad stuff happens BECAUSE God is right and true, and sin entered the world because of the rebellion of mankind. And bad stuff comes because, in mankind’s sin, they gave authority over to the enemy. The result of sin is super bad everything.
