1) Have you ever thought that some Christians could be troublemakers? Well, then can. Today, we review a subtle tongue-in-cheek moment in the Book of Acts after the great human destroyer becomes the great human builder. After Saul’s conversation, his preaching, his arrival in Jerusalem, and his additional preaching, God gives the church a break. How? He directs Saul back to Tarsus. And the church had a nice siesta. But, of course, this applies to our turmoil. After a while, it will be chill down time. 1 Peter 5:10 states, In his kindness God called you to share in his eternal glory by means of Christ Jesus. So after you have suffered a little while, he will restore, support, and strengthen you, and he will place you on a firm foundation. 2) What often happens during a time of peace? Building stuff, personally, professionally, and spiritually. When peace came to the church, it grew in different directions and ways after some extremely turbulent times. How? Because God is the REAL Gardener.

TOP SHOW: 1) Jesus is called the Prince of Peace (from Isaiah 9:6). Therefore, it stands to reason that Jesus may know something about peace. He knows what it takes for there to be peace from nation to nation. He knows what it takes for there to be peace inside a country. He knows what is required for there to be peace between a family. He knows what is needed for there to be peace with God. And He knows what it takes for there to be peace within ourselves. That last one is kind of important, like the one just before it. 2) Mean, mean Dave. Talking about grace and mercy is cool. Talking about sin and wrath is not. Here is my response. Tough. It is not the responsibility of every Christian to help everyone feel groovy all the time. 2 Timothy 4:3 states, For the time is coming when people will not endure sound teaching, but having itching ears they will accumulate for themselves teachers to suit their own passions. Ouch. And if we turn our backs on God, we can expect a pretty specific and heavy wack to the head by the Divine 2x4. 3) Every temple has pillars as a part of the building. This is true from the first temple designs with Moses to the temple in the New Jerusalem. And it’s also true for the temple of the Holy Spirit, which is you and me. Pillars give structural support. He is some amazing graclets regarding these pillars in our lives. THEY HAVE NAMES!

1) In all this: So, beyond the pale, Job went through more than most of us can dream of. But he did not sin. YET! He did not blame God. In truth, he never blamed God. That’s the key to understanding Job. Job didn’t “blame” God, but he didn’t justify God either. His sin is that he “justified himself.” Job 32:2 states, But Elihu son of Barakel the Buzite, of the family of Ram, became very angry with Job for justifying himself rather than God. 2) In chapter two, we have a repeat of chapter one. Why is this significant? It helps us understand repeat trials, for one. We see the same stuff in a loop. But there is always a new kernel of illumination to be gained, just like when we encounter repeat trials. There is always a new little nugget that the Lord reveals to us, so we can draw in closer and know Him better. 3) Mega point number two: Satan doesn’t change his attacks. He just keeps on attacking. He tries to go at Job again. In reality, he already lost the first challenge. Job did NOT curse God to His face. A stark reality is that non of this questions God, satan, and the people in the process. The only time the enemy wins outright is when he deceives people into thinking that none of this stuff takes place. Open our eyes, Lord.

A) Respond with gentleness and respect: Proverbs 15:1 states that a soft answer turns away wrath, but a harsh word stirs anger. B) Those who slander you: will be put to shame. This doesn’t say “if” they slander you. It says WHEN they slander you. I think we need to get this. C) It is better “if it is God’s will” that we suffer for doing good. Why is that? Because then we are more like Jesus. And tow bi elements of our faith are to share Jesus and to reflect Jesus. D) The results of the process of Jesus’ suffering opened a door that no person could imagine: It created an avenue for people to know God. Only God knows what your suffering will bring.

This 60-minutes is all about: 1) One of my passions is to figure out how to best please the Lord. I know that I will fall short in my own strength. In truth, I don’t worry too much about impressing God with my works because I know who I am; A sinner entirely dependent on the grace and mercy of God. But I find the mystery of faith astounding. Somehow, through my believing in Him and believing Him, He is pleased. So, faith is the ticket. It is the chosen vehicle that God has chosen. And it is by faith, through God, that the impossible becomes possible. 2) Here is a reality check for the recent political approaches for people who try to promote socialism established by humanity; Total failure, according to Jesus. That’s right, Jesus was not a capitalist or a socialist, or a communist, or an anything -ist. He was a kingdom of God evangelist. Laying up treasures in heaven does not fly with any human philosophy. Jesus said He is not from here (John 8:23). Workers don’t receive guest hospitalities. Sorry AOC. 3) We are often taught to pay attention to the things around us. This is not a new approach to living. What is novel is to pay attention to “ourselves” and the people around us. Keep an eye on you. No hypocritical judging or we are going to get smacked by God. And forgiveness must be a generosity of ours towards those who do repent. Every time. Thus saith the Lord.

This 30-minutes is all about: A) The New Covenant has brought “good things” into our lives. Romans 8:32 states, He who did not spare his own Son, but gave him up for us all—how will he not also, along with him, graciously give us all things? Look how much GOOD God has brought to our lives. B) Not of this creation: Let’s see if I can state this diplomatically. The Current earth doesn’t cut it. No, it’s not the only planet we have. So, if you worship the earth, you’re not a Christian. Worshipping the earth is pagan-ish. C) By the blood. Not by the water. Not by the works, Not by the ways of man. Not by wealth. Not by wisdom. Not by Willy Wonka. It is by the blood. D) redemption from God is not temporal. It is not up to the point of our surrender. It is eternal. It continues for more than gazillions of years.
