The David Spoon Experience Part 2 9-16-2022

1) In writing, from the hand of the Lord. How can the Bible be legit? Well, the Hand that made the universe, the solar system, the planets, the earth, the oceans, the mountains, and the inhabitants of the planet was involved. The scriptures connect the movement of the Holy Spirit to the writing of God’s material in 2 Peter 1:21. But it also demonstrates here that the writings of God are from the hand of God. And, as you know, in the process of logic, the God that created the universe can write a book. And the God that can write a book can keep His message safe. Why? Because His Word endured FOREVER. 2) Let’s add a little Yoda into our insights. We need to serve with our whole hearts and willing minds. But along with this simple request for every ounce of our beings to be devoted to Him, we have to add this: The Chrisitan walk is not JUST about trying. It is also about doing. When we need help doing things, we ask. But when we CAN do, we do.

The David Spoon Experience Part 2 9-15-2022

1) Ananias lays his hands on Saul. That’s right, the laying on of hands is not weird. We are weird for thinking it is weird. Hebrews 6:1-2 states that it is elementary teaching. Then Ananias does another thing this is not weird that we think is weird. He called him “brother Saul” in his connection to him. 2) And be filled with the Holy Spirit: Oh No! Not again. Let’s see what people will say; The filling of the Holy Spirit always accompanies salvation. Nope. Not here. The filling of the Holy Spirit NEVER accompanies salvation. Nope. Check out Acts 10. But Dave, wasn’t that because they were Gentiles? Let’s stop trying to put God in a theological box. JESUS said; The wind blows wherever it pleases. You hear its sound, but you cannot tell where it comes from or where it is going. So it is with everyone born of the Spirit.” 3) Saul is saved. Period. But in obedience, he gets baptized. But first, an essential element takes place. God enables him to see. Being baptized without knowing why doesn’t flow too well. So this public proclamation was huge. The destroyer becomes a builder. And so it is with God

This 30-minutes is all about: A) And His love is perfected in us: The Greek word means to complete (perfect), i. e. add what is yet lacking in order to render a thing full. So this is a witness that our love has lots and lots of room to grow, especially when we understand that Jesus is the standard. B) Trinity, trinity, trinity, for about the 40th time. God gives us His Spirit to live inside of us. The Spirit testifies that the Father sent the Son to be the Savior for the world. And that saving is available for everyone but won’t be received by many.

The David Spoon Experience 9-14-22 Part 2

This 60-minutes is all about: 1) Let’s understand the expression “I don’t mind,” which we use in our society. It most often means that it doesn’t bother us. So what? You got chicken for dinner, instead of fish. Well, that’s O.K., I don’t mind.” What that communicates is that we don’t lodge this into our minds or our thinking in such a way as to disturb us. Some things we should install in our minds. Somethings we should not. WE are the guardians of what lodges (or lives) within our minds. The scriptures charge us with this responsibility. There are no escapes or excuses. God requires safe thinking from His kids. 2) So, brothers and sisters, where are our minds? With all the influences roaming the earth and the enemy of God’s people, we need to be careful what kind of “food” we let into our minds. To a minor degree, a daily armageddon war occurs between our left and right ear every day. Whichever influence we receive and lodge into our minds, we support. We abandon whatever influences we reject and remove them from our minds, whether good or bad 3) The key to the personal, daily armageddon war in our minds is understanding the WHERE of the warfare. By this, we seek to identify which location our thinking supports. Are we fixated on the here and the now? Or are we fixated on the Then and Later? Jesus said that there is only one correct answer. Just ask Martha and Mary. One of the sisters was focusing on the now. She was missing it. The other sister was focusing on the then. Jesus said that she was getting it. Do we get it?

This 30-minutes is all about: A) He leads me beside still waters: Some Christian teachers believe that this verse demonstrates that God will help us avoid rough waters. However, that is NOT what it says. Instead, it teaches that God will lead us “to” still waters, which means the waters were rough beforehand. B) He restores my soul: There are a few kingdom powers that restore our souls. Psalm 19:7 states, “The Law of the LORD is perfect, restoring the soul;” The presence of the Lord restores our souls, and even fellowship has a restoration effect. To restore means “to repair, renovate, or return to a former condition.” C) For His name’s sake: Yeah…it’s not about me. Yeah, it’s not about you. Yeah…it’s about Him. So let’s lock that in!

The David Spoon Experience 9-13-22 Part 2

This 60-minutes is all about:1) Satan replied: Hey…guess what? Satan talks. He spoke in the Garden. He spoke to God in this unique exchange. And when he talks, he introduces challenges, lies, doubts, and temptation. He accuses God (so how much more you and me) of playing favorites with Job and then challenges God to strip Job of his bubble. Yes, the is a hedge of protection (him, his home, and his property) around believers. If Satan had his unrestrained way, we would all be dead. Or worse. 2) You have made him prosperous in everything. It’s a dare, a bet, a challenge. And the enemy asks (because he has to) to strip Job to the bottom of the bottom. God allowed Job to accumulate over time, not in an instant. And his prosperity extended well beyond riches. Unfortunately, we are often trained to be blind to see actual value. The enemy asks for a change in Job’s situation because that will produce a cursing and hatred for God. How about this for a personal lesson? 3) God has to give permission and parameters for the contest. Of course, we call it a trial, a testing, and other spiritual phrases. But in this case, and likely in some of our own, there is a cosmic contest going on. Open our eyes, Lord.

This 30-minutes is all about: 1) On that day. This means there is a moment, a day when this entire schematic will be called into account. And it ain't gonna be pretty. Lord, Lord, is saying the title without the connection to the One holding the title. 2) Prophesy, demons, and miracles. Contrary to poor theology, this is NOT an indictment against Charismatic or Pentecostals. Give me a break. Judas did all these thongs, and he wasn't in those denominations. And he didn't really know Jesus. But he sure used His name. 3) Take a hike! I don't know you, and you don't know me. In reality, you are working the system in lawlessness. That's not even close to who I am. Later tator.
