The David Spoon Experience Part 2 9-8-22

1) God speaks to Ananias. But Dave, God doesn’t speak to people. However, he does communicate with people often and in multiple ways. If you are not sure, just check your own life. But too often, we think it just thundered. But in this case, he gets downright detal-ish with Ananias. Praying now (present), showing a vision (past) so that he can (future); These are three different time strains in one discussion. God always was, always is, and always will be. 2) “But Lord.” That’s right, get over it. From the days of Adam through the New Testament, God has given instructions, and people have responded, “But Lord.” Just like you and me. By the way, Ananias isn’t wondering if this actually “is” God because God gave him all the necessary proof. “This is the guy, what he is doing, and what I have shown him. And you are the dude he is waiting for.”
3) Ananias informs (O.K., that is a joke) God that he has heard and hears things. Especially about this guy. This guy, God, in case You didn’t know, is against Your people. He has an ax to grind, and it’s against us who follow You. So here is God’s logical and practical advice to Ananias. Our advice is “Go…and do what I say.” And God’s people say…YES, LORD!

The David Spoon Experience 9-7-22 Part 2
Wednesday Sep 07, 2022
Wednesday Sep 07, 2022
This 60-minutes is all about: 1) Baptism. The first part of this is a great way to remember the 12 Disciples. B for Bartholomeu, A for Andrew, P for Phillip, and T for Thomas. The two Simons, two James, and two Judas, with Matthew and John as Gospel writers. Fun stuff. But what is Baptism? It is the outward expression of an inward work. So what’s the problem with the different theologies? The problem is not because of the Word. The problem is with people and their pride. So it always has been and always will be until the Lord returns. But why, Dave? Because people are more arrogant than we can afford to be. And needing to be right is more important than needing to be like Jesus. Do you know who else thought they were always right? The Pharisees. 2) Baptism: Baptizo >>> Bapto >>> “To Immerse” (From dyeing a garment). There are three significant views on Baptism. 1) Sacramental View: (Roman Catholic & Lutheran), 2) Covenantal View: 3) Symbolic View: (Most Protestant Churches). This falls under ecclesiology which is the study of church practices. We will also cover Infant Baptism and Believer’s Baptism. These views should NEVER be a matter of fellowship. Ever. 3) We examine the four significant accomplishments demonstrated when Jesus was baptized. Why was The Father pleased? Plus, we venture into unknown territory by exploring the methodology of Baptism. Finally, we offer a thought as to the conclusion of the matter. Will this teaching resolve everyone’s disagreement? No. But it will help us all walk together better.

The David Spoon Experience 9-7-22 Part 1
Wednesday Sep 07, 2022
Wednesday Sep 07, 2022
These 30-minutes are all about: A) My Shepherd: Jesus is identified as the redeeming Good Shepherd (John 10:11), the resurrected Great Shepherd (Heb. 13:20), and the returning Chief Shepherd (1 Pet. 5:4). B) I shall not: Lack nothing. According to His inventory, not ours. The Hebrew is emphatic: ‘I want nothing.’ This implies a supply of every possible want of body, soul, and spirit in the Lord. All of the verbs in 23:1–5a are imperfect and give the psalm an unmistakably future orientation. C) Green Pastures: or “pastures of tender grass,” are mentioned, not concerning food, but as places of cool and refreshing rest. A metaphor for all that makes life flourish.

This 60-minutes is all about: 1) Because we will extensively cover the subject of sin, I want to confirm one of my favorite fills. This has to do with asking God for confirmation of His purposes, His plans, and for His promises. Without the enemy throwing guilt and doubt into our hearts, it must be understood that seeking confirmation is not a sin. Seeking God form a s a second or third witness (in the mouth of two or three testimonies, let every word be established) in biblical. God does not mind being pursued. As long as it is not the pursuit of testing God. We are not to assess or analyze Him. But we can seek a YES from Him. He has no obligation to anyone for anything but does as He chooses. But we are permitted to verify…“is this right?” 2) I have no appreciation for people who hate those that God loves. I do not care if it is politically correct, woke, or any other form of insidious human reasoning based on the false righteousness of humanity. Whether you are a lying politician, a self-loathing Jew, a CINO (Chrisitan in name only), a Muslim, or any other religion, it doesn't matter. If you hate Israel, you are on the wrong side of God.

A) Evert tree that doesn’t produce good fruit. First, let’s understand that other people do not determine this. God defines it. From the world’s point of view, good fruit is to accept sin. Sorry, Charlie, that's the wrong tuna. B) But people will see our fruit. And that fruit will make an impact. No reflection of Jesus is no fruit. It doesn’t call for the perfect fruit. It calls for fruit. According to John’s Gospel, fruit is also answered prayers. C) Not everyone who says: Just because someone says they are a Christian does NOT make them a Christian. People actually think they can be Christians by being good, like Jesus. Guess what? Jesus is a no-go in the kingdom of God because He doesn’t KNOW them.

1) The kingdom of God is where God is King. There is a “now” kingdom…where and when God’s will and desires are realized. And there is a “future” kingdom, where and when God’s will and desires will be realized. The kingdom is not a flesh-feeding program. It’s not food or drink. It’s advancements in the kingship of God. It’s based on the righteousness of Jesus Christ. It is manifested through the power of the Holy Spirit. We long for the future kingdom. But, we need to carry on in the present kingdom. 2) Treasures are pretty cool. We all grew up with tales of treasure hunters trying to find gold. We grew up with pirate fantasies of looking for the elusive treasure chest. Likewise, most people play the lottery, trying to find wealth. Riches are an allurement. Fortune favors the bold. Except…What God considers of great value does not always line up with what man believes is of importance. What revs our engine? 3) Although we have done deep dives into the principles of judgment, some simple reminders will help us navigate through the terrain of the darkness of the enemy, the world, or the flesh. To Judge…or not to Judge…is not the question. How to judge based on what God’s principles are.

This 30-minutes is all about: A) Behind the second curtain, there were two items. So, passed the first section, deeper into the place where the Lord dwells, are two items. The first is the incense, which reflects the prayers, and the second is the ark of the covenant, which reflects God’s laws and truths. Get it? Plus, first-time caller and long-time listener John calls in to answer trivia and pose a question: Where does the word "JEW" come from? Brother Ace calls in to help answer.
