The David Spoon Experience Part 2 8-30-2022
Tuesday Aug 30, 2022
Tuesday Aug 30, 2022
This 60-minutes is all about: 1) Jesus said, “A time is coming and in fact has come when you will be scattered, each to your own home. You will leave me all alone. Yet I am not alone, for my Father is with me.”. We need this key to unlock the door and operate it. Jesus said He was never alone. So, how do we seize the truth of never being alone? 2) Face painting. Yep, at carnivals, it’s fun for the kids. They get painted like animals. The truth is that they look kind of cool. Did you know that Jesus had face painting done to Him? I will bet you one trillion dollars that He did. Where in the Bible is this? In Matthew seventeen and Luke nine. What kind of animal did He look like? Wrong picture. His face looked brighter than the sun. Glory! 3) We visit our great friend, Pastor Ray, who is not “gone” but hanging with JC and not forgotten because his kingdom efforts will endure for eternity. Pastor Ray writes about regaining our wonder and awe. In the beginning, we were all so amazed. But then we got worldly wise and seemed to lose something. Ray gives us the keys to finding the amazing once again. It’s so close to each one of us. Just a slight shift in our neck will do the trick. We miss you, brother.

These 30-minutes are all about: A) Be on your guard: Wow…when we read what Jesus said, we find out that He gave multiple warnings to His followers. If it isn’t about Satan, it’s about the worldly system. If it’s not the worldy systems, it’s about liars who pretend to be religious and righteous. So, like in a sword fight (our sword is the truth), be ready. B) Fruit inspection is an essential part of the discernment required for authentic believers. We need to be careful what WE declare as what good fruit is. It’s not doing Christianity OUR way. But it is the understanding that if the Holy Spirit is in a person through Jesus Christ, we should be able to see that. C) People can didge for a while, but eventually, the reality comes out. That is not to disparage a person who has been faithful to Jesus for years but then has a failure. Or we wouldn’t fellowship with Peter or Mark.

These 60-minutes are all about: 1) We venture into places unknown as we travel into Jobinian-Land. The outline for this book will be short and specific. Let's see if we can get a quick grip on this absolutely TRUE and AUTHENTIC story of the man who some people think means employment. We arrive at a scene that is rarely covered in holy writ. It is a sneak peek for those who cannot see with deep spiritual sight. There is a meeting of beings, none of whom are humans. They present themselves before the Lord. As we examine the dialogue, we quickly learn that this presentation is not voluntary. 2) An individual entity is singled out. His name is Satan. His name means adversary. He is an opposer. The question the Lord poses to him is either a reminder of his prison on earth or that even in defiance, he must give a response to God. Satan is not omniscient, but he can certainly see everything on earth. 3) Then the moment begins. God knows what is going to happen. Satan does not. This is not a test for God to prove Himself. This is a lesson to show Satan that he cannot defeat God, and it is a lesson to teach Job that Job does not know everything. A two-for-one. God wastes nothing. He starts the gamesmanship by "bragging" about Job. Why didn't God tell Job? That would change the dynamic of the challenge.

These 30-minutes are all about: A) Like-minded (1), sympathetic (2), tender-hearted (3), and humble (4). We need to act this way towards other believers and the family of God. How do we know it's towards God's family, not the worldly? By the context of the chapter and by the phrase like-minded. B) I know that few believers would admit it, but even the best Christians can do evil and insulting things. For example, Peter was undoubtedly a believer in Jesus but denied Him three times. But if a brother or a sister does evil, in response, bless them. That's what Jesus did. This is our calling. But God sees this and grants us HIS blessings. C) And here comes the challenging part: If we have a genuine sympathetic, tender-hearted and humble spirit, it will manifest through our actions. And it will manifest through our words. With this discipline comes "good days," which all of us could use.

Wrong ear bonanza! Sometimes, repeating something is highly valuable. This is why there are four Gospels. For example, Paul writes, “It is no trouble for me to write the same things to you again, and it is a safeguard for you” in Philippians 3. It is the same reason that there are hundreds of prophecies for the first and second coming of the Messiah, Jesus Christ. And this is why I share this truth with you, again and again. There is trial and triumph. There is wandering and winning. There is a cross and a crown. 2) Here is a prophetic word for the church that is NOT professionally or prophetically being given with style and charisma. It will not come with a “Thus sayeth the Lord…” or some particular type of pyrotechnic show. After all, this is radio. It is prophetic because it shares the heart of God (1) and foretells the future (2). These are the two marks of a prophecy. It is from the Word of God, which is more reliable than any government or media. The Word of God has been around a lot longer and will around be around long after these entities cease to exist. 3) God is a God of REDEMPTION. And this day, sooner than later, is coming that the REDEMPTION will arrive. His name is Jesus. Get ready.

Wrong ear bonanza! Dave takes a question from our great friend Sergio, talking about how we should approach things from either a judgment or a compassionate point of view. Plus. I know that this is often referred to as the Millenium. But there is just as much evidence that this is eternity proper. The Pre Millenial perspective closes with a great rebellion. This leans towards a “no going backward” approach because it references the Old Covenant as being obsolete. And finally, Dave discusses her. There is a least and the greatest in the Kingdom of God. Whether people want there to be everybody on equal footing or not is irrelevant because of what Jesus taught.
