This 30-minutes is all about: A) One show, passage, expository teaching, and unique experience. Will it go good? I hope so. Will it be edifying? I hope so. Will it work? I hope so? Will it matter? Nope. This is the second go of it. B) We investigate the portion of scripture where King David responds to God’s promises through Nathan. David wanted to build a temple for God. Nathan said yes. God said no. But God was really nice about it. Is there something more profound in this portion that too many of us who have read it have missed? You betcha. C) We will examine twelve different points of this one text throughout the show. Some will be obvious. Some are somewhat subtle. And the rest could be the mind-blowing life-changing insight you have been looking for. That part is entirely up to the Holy Spirit.

And the rest could be the mind-blowing life-changing insight you have been looking for. That part is entirely up to the Holy Spirit. A) The prophet told David everything, including that he was wrong.
B) David sat down to pray. C) Who am I that You have brought me this far? Didn’t deserve it. D) Is this how nice You are to everyone? E) You know what I’m really like (ouch). F) God does great things because He promised to. G) Nobody like YOU. H) This shows what God thinks of slavery in the broad sense. I) Name, miracles, and His forever people J) Confirm your promise! K) Bold enough because You said. L) Your word is truth (John 17:17).

SOME TECH PROBLEMS ): This 60-minutes is all about: 1) How incredible is the book of Isaiah? How was this eunuch directed to Jesus? Through the book of Isaiah and the prompting of the Holy Spirit. The eunuch was not sexually confused as some ridiculous false theologians have tried to argue. The eunuch was a powerful and wealthy position that men (yes, men) took to gain an advantage in society. Not everything is just about sex. 2) The Holy Spirit said to Philip. The church is so afraid to say this now because we either think that we hear things or that other people think we are wackadoodles. Lilly Tomlyn said it best: We talk to God. That's called prayer. God talks to us. That's called schizophrenia. The Holy Spirit has spoken, is speaking, and will always speak. How do we know that? The word of God, written by the Holy Spirit, lasts forever. 3) Here is a HUGE key to sharing our faith. It is so simple; it is scary. Get ready. This is the big one. This will require thousands of hours of education and training. But the payoff is worth it. Here is the key to the most brilliant tactic of bringing the Gospel into other people's lives, even if you are not an evangelist. Get ready. We need to…oh boy…I can't hold it back anymore…ask questions. That's right. Just ask questions.

SOME TECH PROBLEMS ): A) The world explains love as accepting the sinfulness of others because, to the world, there is no sinful behavior. God explains that the world is evil and full of darkness. God is right. The world is left or wrong. B) Love is defined by a "doing" and not a feeling. How many people have done horrific things because it feels right? Too many. Emotions aren't void; they are just not the lead boxcar on the train. C) Speech, speech. Most of which are peppered with lies. Let God be true, but every man a liar (Rom. 3:4). Action connected with speech is the most potent form of communication. D) God is greater than our hearts means God is kinder than our hearts.

The David Spoon Experience Part 2 7-20-2022

This 60-minutes is all about: 1) Christian Kaos, part one: A tale of two cites. A tale of three kings. A tale of four Jews. That’s the ticker, and here we go: Four Jewish Christians, all from the same city in Detroit, Michigan, all living in the same neighborhood, two of which were, and still are, best friends. All saying yes to Jesus within thirty days of each other. And all on fire for Jesus Christ. We were even putting our lives in danger by witnessing to prostitutes on Van Buren Boulevard back in the late 1970s. After that, we were known as The Four Musketeers. 2) Entering the picture, a Jewish Chrisitan rabbi with his loyal assistant and her little Yoda-looking dog. How can God make it any clearer? We were special. We were a sign from God to the Jews. Even though 1 Corinthians 1:22-23 states, For the Jews require a sign, and the Greeks seek after wisdom: 23But we preach Christ crucified. We were a little confused because we were told the Bible was God’s word, and what the rabbi said wasn’t correct. Enter Pastor Ken. 3) Bible knower extraordinaire; He instructed us to take the rabbi down. That was God wanted this. And afterward, it would be time to learn from “the anointed” leader. But unless the Lord builds the house...What’s a Jew to do?

These 30 minutes are all about: Brother Sergio calls in with another brilliant question. He wants to know how you handle it when people wanna know why their good works aren't good enough. Dave spends a considerable amount of time going through the understanding that we are all sinners and fall short of the glory of God. The result of sin is death. The solution is the redemption that comes from believing in Jesus Christ. Once a person confesses with their mouth and believes in their heart, they are saved. And whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. For God, so love the world that he gave his one and only son, that whosoever should believe in him should not perish but have everlasting life. Afterward, Dave prays for the audience. He asks the Lord to bring His healing power into them.

The David Spoon Experience Part 2 7-19-2022

This 60-minutes is all about: 1) People are often committed to reading or studying the word of God. Written by the Holy Spirit, in partnership with mankind, The word breathes life into us. But when the people of the old testament responded to the word of God, it did not profit them. Why? They forgot the secret ingredient of faith. And one more thing. They didn’t bake it. 2) What Jesus did directly conflicted with the temple’s authority. He did what they commanded not to be done. He was not violent. And He did not try to scare anyone or show how tough He was. He simply obeyed the Father’s direction before He would respond to man’s leadership. This is not authority defiance. It is obedience to God. That always comes first. Whether they crucify us for it or not. 3) We often try to find the hidden meaning in things. But in doing so, we rarely take into account this passage: Isaiah 43:7; “everyone who is called by my name, whom I created for my glory, whom I formed and made.” So, the things that God is doing often have an unknown meaning. And we wouldn’t believe it if we knew it. Just ask Job!
