Tuesday Jul 19, 2022
Tuesday Jul 19, 2022
This 30-minutes is all about: 1) Doctor Dave shares about an exploding water heater. It sounds like it's nothing but a disaster, but that's not how it turns out, as the Lord uses that situation to bring a blessing to David's landlord. Also, 2) David has the opportunity to teach about what Jesus said in Matthew Chapter 6, verse 34. We're not supposed to worry about tomorrow. We're not supposed to be afraid of what life is going to bring or the things that we need to take care of. Because the Lord knows what we need, and He will help us with His provisions. David shares a private testimony relating to provisions that are exceedingly miraculous. God never lets His kids down.

This 60-minutes is all about: 1) People are often committed to reading or studying the word of God. Written by the Holy Spirit, in partnership with mankind, The word breathes life into us. But when the people of the old testament responded to the word of God, it did not profit them. Why? They forgot the secret ingredient of faith. And one more thing. They didn’t bake it. 2) What Jesus did directly conflicted with the temple’s authority. He did what they commanded not to be done. He was not violent. And He did not try to scare anyone or show how tough He was. He simply obeyed the Father’s direction before He would respond to man’s leadership. This is not authority defiance. It is obedience to God. That always comes first. Whether they crucify us for it or not. 3) We often try to find the hidden meaning in things. But in doing so, we rarely take into account this passage: Isaiah 43:7; “everyone who is called by my name, whom I created for my glory, whom I formed and made.” So, the things that God is doing often have an unknown meaning. And we wouldn’t believe it if we knew it. Just ask Job!

From Doctor Dave: This 60-minutes is all about: 1) Those that wait upon the Lord: It is so tough to do if you are like I am; a bit of a control freak. Not in everything. But in certain things, usually in the realms where we do well. Or in the areas that we think we do well. And as I have shared before, that puts pressure on ourselves. This is not the pressure that God is bringing to us but that we are bringing to ourselves. And when we do this activity of controlling versus waiting on the Lord, we sap our Christian strength. 2) A sound clip, one of our fills between the segments, talks about Jesus changing the atmosphere. It is one of the most essential truths that we need to embrace. The wisdom of the walk is that in order to change the atmosphere, w need to have a change of scenery. Sometimes, when we can be caught up in the middle of the menusha, we need to ask the Lord to help us change the picture. Perhaps to one that helps us focus on Him? Sounds right. 3) We are going to use the Dynamic Application principle to review what can happen to people when the word of God is preached, taught, or heard. This means that we are not just focusing on the context of the whole passage but also reviewing the gem of the truth about Bible Warfare. We are commanded to stay alert because the enemy seeks to steal from us.

From Doctor Dave: This 30-minutes is all about: A) The Lord has sworn that He will NEVER change His mind…regarding YOU. He will not be swayed. He will not be moved. We are His. B) When we seek guarantees, those promises are only as good as where the security comes from. How about if it comes from Jesus? C) A better covenant. O.K., let us not be ridiculous. Better means better. It means a more excellent or effective type or quality. Awesome.

Nope. B) We examine the portion of scripture where Jesus calls the woman a little dog. How rude. Or is it? Is there something more profound in this portion that too many of us who have read it have missed? You betcha. C) We will examine eight different points of this one text throughout the show. Some will be obvious. Some are somewhat subtle. And the rest could be the mind-blowing life-changing insight you have been looking for. That part is entirely up to the Holy Spirit.

1) There are two different responses that we offer enter into with the Lord without intending to insult Him. It’s a bit natural or fleshly human, so it is helpful for us to keep an eye on this. We can quickly revert to a bit of complaining when things are going bad. “I wouldn’t do it this way,” we may mumble under our breath. But that can only last so long, and eventually, we get on track. However, when things start to turn, we tend to forget the moment and why it turned. Again, it’s a bit natural or fleshly human, so it is helpful for us to keep an eye on this. 2) Why would God allow such freakish weird scenarios in our lives? He stopped Israel during the time after Joshua’s death to test His kids and to teach His kids. They might not have liked that, but He didn’t ask them if they liked it. And He won’t ask you or me if we like it either. That’s because Christianity is about becoming more like Jesus and not more of us. And if that takes Him directing us to Red Sea circumstances, then so be it.
