1) The presence of the Lord: The key is to understand that there is a universal presence and a manifested presence of the Lord. The universal presence has to do God is omnipresent, everywhere, always, and all the time. To answer the theological question before it’s asked: Psalm 139:8 “If I ascend to heaven, You are there; If I make my bed in Sheol, behold, You are there.” But the universal presence is very different. It’s where the breach between parallel worlds opens. 2) Is our strength: How is God’s presence the form of our strength? God is our Creator. When we connect to His manifested presence, we (as His creation) are connected with our deepest origins. Job 32:8 states, “But it is the spirit in man, the breath of the Almighty, that makes him understand.” And Job also says, “The Spirit of God has made me, and the breath of the Almighty gives me life” (Job 33:4). 3) The key to us understanding this power is to constantly access His presence so that we can continuously be energized with joy by His presence. That way, we can constantly walk in His joy and, as a result, in His power.

This 30-minutes is all about: A) As foreigners and exiles: The word foreigner means a person belonging to or owing allegiance to a foreign country. An exile means the state or a period of voluntary or involuntary absence from one’s country or home. B) Abstain: to refrain deliberately and often with an effort of self-denial. Or in the word itself, Don’t STAIN! Get it? C) The war we wage on the inside is the one that nobody we know can see. Except God sees every conflict and every struggle. And He offers His help. D) Deborah calls in to ask a question about keeping joy. Daves' next hour was already pointing in that direction. Coincidence? I think not.

The BEST Worst show ever! This 60-minutes is all about: 1) Acts 4:13 states, that when they saw the courage of Peter and John and realized that they were unschooled, ordinary men, they were astonished, and they took note that these men had been with Jesus. The distinguishing mark of the Apostles was not their formal education but their consistent relationship with Jesus. Of course, God uses everyone in all stages of life; social status, race, and education. He used a Donkey to rebuke a prophet. But being connected to Jesus is a never-ending kingdom education. The world and the worldly will never recognize this. But most of them won’t be in Heaven anyway. So kingdom kids keep leaning on the King. 2) Many teachers and leaders want us to be aware that the word Christian in the early church was negative. And in Antioch, it probably was. But no matter, because in a short amount of time, the word Christian came to mean “one who follows Christ and His teachings.” That’s why in the latter church, the label became an honor. It is also why people who call themselves Christians are simply not Christians if they don’t follow Christ, and His teachings, regardless of how they feel. 3) Who are you…who, who, who, who? Not knowing who you are can lead to becoming something you don’t want to be. And the enemy knows this. So, he will, if he can keep you locked up in darkness and hinder who you are…in Jesus Christ. He tried it on, Jesus. He will try in on you and me. The answer is that God tells us who we are.

The BEST worst show ever! This 30-minutes is all about: This 30-minutes is all about: our great friend Sergio calls in to ask an honest but complex question about how we deal with the tragedies that are all around the world. And why does God let them happen? The real answer is that the tragedies around the world happened because mankind is in rebellion against God. Man is not basically good. Man is evil, with moments of goodness because of being born in the image of God. The job of the church is to be like Jesus in offering compassion, love and hope to those in pain.

This 60-minutes is all about: 1) Stubborn people. This has been a definition of people from the earliest days of God developing a nation through Abraham. But God demonstrates His love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us even though we are stubborn. Even though our stubbornness makes us more like the heathen in our hearts. And even though we purposely become deaf to the truth. Ouch. 2) Stephen then drops the microphone on his listeners. He challenges them with a phrase that too many people skip by: He states, Must you forever resist the Holy Spirit? The irony for people who don’t see the Holy Spirit as God is right here. After Stephen accuses his listeners, they freak out because he just told them they are rebellious and resisting the Holy Spirit. And the people lose their cookies. If the Holy Spirit isn’t Gid, why freak out? He also identifies the Trinity in this portion. 3) Just to be like Stephen, in this one moment in our lives. Under attack, he has a fixed vision and is subject to the crowd’s fury. His fixed vision is in Heaven. If we look for the incredible proof that a person is filled with the Holy Spirit, looking to Heaven and seeing Jesus would be the key.

This 30-minutes is all about: A) Unashamed at His coming. As Bible believers, we look forward to the New Heavens and the New Earth. We look forward to dancing on the streets of gold. But before that happens, Jesus will return. And when He comes, we don’t want to be ashamed because we gave Him twenty-five percent. B) With our insane cultural wars, it is easier than ever to determine what is right and wrong—everything right aligns with God’s word. Abortion is murder, men cannot be women or get pregnant, and the government is not God. If we stand in His truth and practice it, we know we are His. If we side with the world, we are NOT His.
