A) Little children, with their sins forgiven. Where it all starts! I have heard that these are different age brackets. But I think that is incorrect. I believe these are varying maturity levels of believers. BBUUTT…
B) The older people know that the connection with Jesus is their most important tool, or weapon, as their time grows. It’s the one thing we have now and will continue to expand throughout eternity.
C) Young people are more on fire than most. They fight the enemy as young soldiers and learn to use their sword, God’s Word.
D) As children grow up, their focal point adds their relationship with their Heavenly Father into the mix.

Welcome to The David Spoon Experience.
This 60-minutes is all about:
1) There was a famine in Egypt and Canaan. From this famine came extremely uncomfortable living conditions. From the uncomfortable living conditions came the need to search for relief. From this search, the small tribe of Jacob, the sons of Israel, were forced to go to Egypt. From those forcings came the plan of God to save the people. From this depth of struggle came the program and will of God.
2) Here’s the golden ticket. God has never failed to fulfill one single promise. Ever. Not to anyone in the Bible, not to anyone in the world, and not to you. If it is a GENUINE promise from God, it will be fulfilled. The only difference is the methodology and the timing. And the Lord gives NO ONE permission to interfere with what He has coordinated. So, patience, trust, and confidence in God are called for.

This 60-minutes is all about:
1) Doesn’t it feel like, from time to time, that the universe is against us? Well, here is a big clue. The universe is NOT against us. Satan is against us. The demons are against us. Sin is against us. The worldly are against us. Our flesh is against us. There is a lot against us. But it is not the universe. It is not God; the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit (is not) are not against us. The angels and our brothers and sisters are not against us. That’s a lot for us. But if God is for us, then who cares?
2) O.K. Don’t despise the comparisons. An Amber Alert is to help locate a missing child. A Silver Alert is to help find a senior citizen. A Tornado Alert is to keep us aware of dangerous weather. An Identity Alert is to help us be mindful that someone is trying to steal our identity and our finances. And An Adversary Alert is a reminder that you and I are on the enemy’s radar. And we can’t afford to turn off our detector.
3) A roaring lion roars. Why? Because the lion is fast? No. Because the lion is agile. No. Because the lion likes to sleep tonight? Wrong show. Because the lion has such a pretty voice, and he wants to serenade his food before eating it? Not exactly. He roars to instill fear. Get it?

The David Spoon Experience Part 2 4-19-22

1) Rehoboam had an excellent opportunity to be an excellent king. He was Solomon’s son. He “could have” benefitted dramatically from observing his father’s victories and failures. But, of course, instead of seeking God (duh), he chose to use the counselors for making his decisions solely. Does this sound familiar? And even though he had wise counsel right next to him, he opted to go with his buddies. Here’s the catch. God was preparing to judge Israel for their sins. Part of that judgment was their separation. NOTHING was going to stop God.
2) Have you ever had significant victories in your spiritual walk? Substantial accomplishments and milestones are to be cherished and appreciated. And our enemy is aware of every spiritual success we have because it damages his kingdom. He is not all-knowing, but he knows when he takes a hit. So, what does an enemy do when you gain territory? He tries to bring you down a bit. Either through fear or some other point of weakness. He is going to lose. But he is not going to go so quietly.
3) I stand by the three primary approaches to the end times. I believe that all three schools of thought are brilliant in their own right. I am a Manifold Millennialist. Please don’t bother trying to track it down. It’s an emerging theology. Regardless of your eschaton, all Christians have a general pathway. Let’s follow that. It’s the commands from Jesus.

This 30-minutes is all about:
A) We are supposed to “rid ourselves,” which names two things clearly: We can do these things, but we don’t have to do these things.
B) Like babies…who need milk to grow, we need to take in what helps us grow as Christians. And we need to GROW UP in our salvation.
C) Since we have “tasted” that the Lord is good. We know that the Lord is good because we have experienced His great feasts.

The David Spoon Experience Part 2 4-18-22

Welcome to the 90-minute show of The David Spoon Experience.
This 60-minutes is all about:
1) People of the world have a specialty that Jesus mentions that the church seems to lack. Luke 16:8 states, the master commended the dishonest manager because he acted shrewdly. For the sons of this world are more shrewd in dealing with their own generation than the sons of light. The people of the world try to INTIMIDATE the children of the light. The only answer is to pray to the Lord for strength and wisdom.
2) We have to learn to run less. We try to run away from the Lord (See Adam and Eve for an ancestral record); we try to run away from our trials. As Christians, we even need to be careful not to run away from the world because of fear. I know that society is blowing up before our eyes, but the solution is not to become monks. Instead, we need to KNOW when God is speaking or if it’s our flesh, the world, or the enemy.
3) I have a suggestion for you…which is often followed by something less than biblical if it comes from worldly sources. But I have a suggestion for you that is biblical. Sometimes, when people of the world offer suggestions, don’t run away. Just stand your ground and say Nope. Not today. Sorry, Charlie. Not now, or ever.

The David Spoon Experience Part 1 4-15-22

Welcome to the 90-minute show of The David Spoon Experience.
This 30-minutes is all about:
A) Oh, No! We have become too lazy! What does that mean? Exactly what we think it means. We have become too “lethargic and sluggish” in our faith. Is that bad? I don’t know. Is an IRS audit bad?
B) At this point in our faith, let’s be honest, We should be teaching instead of others and needing to teach ourselves. It’s OK to be encouraging. We do it every day, but it’s not acceptable to wear THAT as a blanky around our necks.
C) Milk is fantastic. But so is Pizza. And steak. Sometimes, we need to kick ourselves in the tushy and step up to the big person’s plate.

The David Spoon Experience Part 2 4-15-22

Welcome to the 90-minute show of The David Spoon Experience.
This 60-minutes is all about:
1) There is so much NOISE! Not just on the Highway and the freeway, but even on the side roads. It’s incredible how much “clatter” there is. You would almost think it’s Christmas every day. There arose such a clatter. But in reality, it’s just the wind of the world. Too much noise and too much wind create too much confusion. QUIET, please!
2) Okey dokey…this will help many irate Christians, but what else is new? I will now make a statement that the politicians will resent. But keep in mind that Jesus thinks this is awesome: The poor should also lean to give! Of course, Jesus was never looking for votes. He was and is looking for devotionals, not de-votes. Because a poor woman gave, Jesus immortalized her. When was the last time you heard that?
3) If you are NASCAR fan, you will appreciate this. The goal of racers and every professional team is to come in first place. Everybody loves a winner. But God looks at winners from a different perspective. It’s not that you shouldn’t TRY your best. But it is that the best is the servant of everyone else. So consider this in the “winner circle.”

A) The commandments of God are not complex. BUT…if we do not keep them (as simple as they are), we fail to honor and respect our Lord.
B) What Would Jesus Do? Not the worst saying, but a little off-center. Why? Because Jesus didn’t live in the United States of America in 2022. Plus, Jesus would not get in involved in so many stupid arguments. His goal was to promote the kingdom of God. If you think America is the actual kingdom of God, you may not be saved.

Finishing What We Started!!!
Next, we understand that there are no bones about it, but why is that important. It’s simple…every promise from God is guaranteed through Jesus Christ. Oh my… we hear the same thing all the time. If we could remember the actual truth and live in it, we would have fewer problems.
Finally, how cool are spiritual gifts? Listen to what the Apostle Paul said in Romans 15:19…They were convinced by the power of miraculous signs and wonders and by the power of God’s Spirit. In this way, I have fully presented the Good News of Christ. Let me help you (and me) out. What is more miraculous than you and I accepting and acknowledging Jesus Christ is the Lord?
