TDSE Descriptions for 90
Welcome to the 90-minute show of The David Spoon Experience.
This 60-minutes is all about:
1) One of my favorite teachings: Who is in charge? When God confronted Job, the Lord asked him a series of questions. It centered around who was in control. Was Job? No. Then God said, “Where were you when I laid the foundations of the earth?” This is the key to understanding that our questioning of God’s plan is not too bright. This means that sometimes, we are not too bright. Get it?
2) The idea that being in the perfect will of God means that it’s smooth sailing. Unless you read about Jesus Christ during His earthly ministry. Ans unless we are Bible-Believing Born-Again Christians. Then we can understand the passage that says, strengthening the souls of the disciples, encouraging them to continue in the faith, and saying that we must enter the kingdom of God (Acts 14:22).
3) We examine The Disciples because we are them. We look at their desire to please the Lord. We review their passion for following His commands. We observe how they respond to Jesus when they are in the middle of a crisis. We see that their reaction is likely not too different from our own. So, how did they respond? By crying out, “Where are You, Lord?” Yep. That sounds just like us.

Welcome to the 90-minute show of The David Spoon Experience.
This 30-minutes is all about:
A) The Lord’s Prayer or the Our Father Prayer is not a word-for-word model as much as a manner in which to pray. Verse nine says to pray this way, but not with these words. But …obviously…it ain’t bad.
B) Getting past the first word could be challenging, simply because when Jesus was teaching His disciples to pray, the prayers were inclusive.
C) God identifies Himself as a HE. It doesn’t matter what the world or so-called scholars say. It only matters what God declared to humanity. He CHOSE the pronoun -HE! Get over it!

ONE OF OUR TOP SHOWS:
TDSE Descriptions for 90
Welcome to the 90-minute show of The David Spoon Experience.
This 60-minutes is all about:
1) It’s my way or the highway. Which is an excellent way of saying it’s my way or the highway. No Bible-believing Christian could effectively say this. Jesus said it. But He could say it because He is the ONLY way, truth, and life. But no one else could respectively pull this off. The disciples tried to do it. But Jesus shut them down.
2) Our hope is in Jesus. Our deliverance is in Jesus. Our command is in Jesus. And that command is to join in other people’s lives. To join in other people’s causes. To join in other people’s lives. And to help. Joining but doing nothing is still doing nothing.
3) When we sin…is the prayer of Solomon. Not “if” we sin, but when we sin. As Christians, we don’t have to sin. But if we do sin, we have an advocate, a defense attorney, in Jesus Christ. But the model that Solomon established is as valid today as it was back in the time of the kings of Israel. In reality, this method is the mirror that speaks to The Prodigal Son. What happened to the son when he made the decision to come home again? That’s what needs to happen with us.

Welcome to the 90-minute show of The David Spoon Experience.
This 30-minutes is all about:
A) Obedience to the truth is not seen in scriptures as perfect behavior, but as loving one another, genuinely.
B) We are reminded to keep in touch with one another and keep tabs on one another so we can be a blessing and be blessed by one another.

Welcome to the 90-minute show of The David Spoon Experience.
This 60-minutes is all about:
We get to hear from Mary! PTL.
1) Because Nehemiah feared the LORD, he restrained himself from inappropriate and unfair behavior. Instead, he went in the opposite direction. That’s a significant clue. He feared God, so there were actions he would not take. He feared God, so there were actions he would take. When we reverence and honor the Lord, we shouldn’t do certain things, but we should be doing other things. Doy.
2) Nehemiah had a characteristic that too many Christians do not seem to possess. He was aware. He was aware of how people around him were doing. He was thoughtful. He was considerate. Even to his detriment, he thought being kind and giving to others was more important than staking his claim or demanding his rights. I guess this is like loving someone as we love ourselves.
3) Nehemiah asks God to remember him, to remember what he has done. In Hebrews 6:10, the author writes, “For God is not unjust. He will not forget how hard you have worked for him and shown your love to him by caring for other believers, as you still do.” We can rest assured that God does not forget what we have done in His Kingdom. Nor does He forget how we have and how we do love each other. It shows His faithfulness to our desire to…get it right. Let’s get it right.

This 30-minutes is all about:
A) Jesus humbled Himself. He was exalted when He hung on a cross. He even prophesied about it. But, He didn’t exalt Himself.
B) Jesus is a Son. Jesus is a High Priest. You are a daughter or a son. So, you are a priest too.
C) When Jesus prayed and made appeals (which means “urging”), He did so with cries and tears. So there are a lot of emotions in this example.

Welcome to the 90-minute show of The David Spoon Experience.
This 60-minutes is all about:
1) Seek first the Kingdom of God. If we seek His kingdom and His righteousness, everything else will be added to us. Question: How do we seek the kingdom? How do we pursue it and find it? The answer is located in the book of Colossians. We do precisely what the word of God tells us too.
2) There is an outside war. And there is an inside war. The fight between the flesh and the Spirit. It’s not that we can’t walk in victory. We can. And because of the redeeming work of Jesus, we have no “obligation” to our old lives. That’s not the problem. The struggle is that we “make a decision” to hang out with the old us.
3) Jesus can. But can we? So, Christians don’t like to talk about or acknowledge demons, which is weird because Jesus did. Demons didn’t disappear because of psychoanalyzing. Their warfare can come from active sin or generational sin (which is acknowledged in Exodus 20:4). Through Jesus, we overcome demons in ALL spiritual warfare. That doesn’t make us weird. It makes us believers.

This 30-minutes is all about:
A) If we say we are sinless, we are being ridiculous. Can we walk above sin? Yes, but we don’t do this 24/7. Not yet.
B) If we confess our sins, He forgives and heals us from the pain of the present sin. But this is not salvation. Salvation is done.
C) He cleanses us from all the yuck if we are humble enough to acknowledge the yuck.
D) If we say we never sinned, we are liars. Hello politicians!

Welcome to the 90-minute show of The David Spoon Experience.
This 60-minutes is all about:
1) God knows everything that has happened, happens, and will happen. Could you imagine if the Lord spoke to you and said, “okey-doke, your relatives are going to be stuck in slavery for four hundred years. You might think to yourself, “why is this going to happen?” But then the Lord explains to you that “this will lead to the first nation in the world to be My own people.” So why doesn’t God just snap His fingers and make it perfect? The same reason He didn’t annihilate Adam and Eve.
2) The covenant of circumcision? Why couldn’t it be something simple like unique hats? Because sex drives people. And God is communicating that before a person lives for sex, they need to nip that in the bud. Get it?
Circumcision makes it an unchangeable pledge to be God’s property.
3) Stephen takes the Gospel back to Abraham. As this super quick narrative of 14 chapters of Genesis is summed up in eight verses, Joseph becomes the focus. All the injustices that were done this guy are infuriating. And of the injustices are part of the bigger plan of God. But in reality, his oppressions are coordinated and prove that God is with Joseph. In each phase of his life. Just like He is in ours.

A) Psalm 18 is one of the “classic” Psalms. This Psalm was written on the day that the Lord delivered him from king Saul.
B) I Love You! How can we better say to our King, our Sheppard, Our Lord, Our Master, and Our Father? Love you, God.
C) David lists seven different descriptions of who God is to him. We should have our list. What would we answer if someone asked you who God is to you?
D) He is WORTHY to be praised. We should say that with our breath.

Welcome to the 90-minute show of The David Spoon Experience.
This 60-minutes is all about:
1) And we need to remember that Jesus is our captain. He is the quarterback of our team. He is the skipper of our fellowship. He is the head of our body. And we need to abide in Jesus. Like a fish needs water, or a bird needs air, we need to dwell or “live in” in the Lord. To not dwell in the Lord, to not abide in Jesus will lead to being dry and burned. That’s a very kind way of saying if we don’t live in Jesus, we will need a lot of burn ointment.
2) A key component of Jesus being in charge is that He is the cornerstone of our salvation. It is a gift that God offers us through the redeeming work of Jesus Christ. Salvation is given by grace and received by faith. Nobody gets to boast about it because it’s a plan from God, for our benefit and blessing.
3) Here’s the problem; What the Lord maketh easy, we maketh extremely complicated, thus saith the Bible. In better words, what God starts, we try to finish, what makes easy, we make hard, and what God makes plain, we make complicated. Why? In the most excellent way possible, we do this because there is SIN in our hearts and minds.

This 30-minutes is all about:
A) In our world, silence is too uncomfortable for many. But not for God. We don’t need to “fill the air” when praying.
B) Here is one of the great mysteries of the Chrisitan Faith. If God knows what we need before we ask Him, why pray? Number one, He commands us to. And number two, He enjoys our fellowship.
