Welcome to the 90-minute show of The David Spoon Experience.
Dave shares a story about Pastor Ray being responsible for his return to radio. Celebrating 3 years at KAAM Texas radio.
1) Nepotism means the practice among those with power or influence of favoring relatives or friends, especially by giving them jobs. God can pick winners and losers, but people don’t do so well. And when we put our family above what we request or require from others, we do not please Lord. Romans 2:11 states, “God shows no partiality.” Family is important. Physical AND spiritual.
2) The disadvantaged should not be despised. If among you, one of your brothers should become poor, in any of your towns within your land that the Lord your God is giving you, you shall not harden your heart or shut your hand against your poor brother. The difference in this situation is that poor people were WORKING and struggling to make ends meet. They were not sitting around twiddling their thumbs. They were TRYING. That is substantially different than government programs.
3) The nobles and the wealthy people were oppressing their fellow countrymen because of greed. They were more concerned about money than morality. That’s a big-time problem with God. People are of more excellent value than bank accounts. Money is essential as a tool. But Jesus didn’t die for our financial treasures. He died for people.

Welcome to the 90-minute show of The David Spoon Experience.
This 30-minutes is all about:
A) We have seen the things of God, we have testified to the things of God, and we proclaim the things of God.
B) Eternal life was revealed to us. How? Through Jesus Christ, whom the grave could not hold on to. He is the revelation of eternity realized.
C) You can have fellowship with us: That is fellowship with those who know more about hanging out with God, more than anyone else.
D) Fellowship with His kids and Him enable us to have joy, joy, and joy.

What an incredible show today! It’s filled with spontaneous talk and teaching.
1) Dave shares about his granddaughter Addie Bug Schiller who just accepted Jesus Christ as our Lord and savior two nights ago. This means that Dave’s lifelong dream of having three generations of Jewish Christians has come to pass. 2) Additionally, Dave talks about understanding the rapture with people who see it differently and making sure that we maintain unity even if our conclusions go in different directions.
3) Finally, Dave gives a word of encouragement for everybody who’s come back from tough times. Don’t be afraid but be encouraged because God’s grace, presence, mercy, and love will never leave us.

Welcome to the 90-minute show of The David Spoon Experience.
This 30-minutes is all about:
A) The idea is not to “practice” our righteousness in front of others. It’s not something to practice like a performance but live like a Christian.
B) No credit: This means NO Recognition from God. He’s not impressed when we “announce” good works. If we do, it’s not for Him.
C) Don’t sound the trumpet: Billionaires, millionaires, and even cable news hosts are Jesus-less in this process. The Lord awards no credit for these displays. None.

Welcome to the 90-minute show of The David Spoon Experience.
This 60-minutes is all about:
1) On your marks, get set, go. Then the gun fires, and the runners run the race. There are markers throughout the race, if it’s a long-distance run or a cross country run. These markers tell the runners where to go. For Christians, we are in a cross-universe run. We are NOT running in an aimless race, as referenced in 1 Corinthians. We are running in the eternal race with marks and guideposts from God. And we run (and walk) to win, prevail, and advance His cause.
2) We have promises from God that help us keep running. We have reasons from God that help us understand why we are in the race. And we have examples from God of people who have been in the race and have reached the finish line.
3) Who could be a better example than the most incredible being ever to live? We examine the instructions that come from Jesus. We examine the empowerments that come from Jesus. We examine the guideposts from Jesus. And by doing so, we start to get it.

Welcome to the 90-minute show of The David Spoon Experience.
Dave addresses how to deal with our sin. Plus,
1) The best commercial for the kids returning to school was by Staples. It showed a dad pushing a shopping cart to buy supplies for his kids, with the theme song, “It’s the most wonderful time…of the year.” Why it’s so clever is that we love the holidays. But, here’s the problem; doing good to other people is not a holiday. In reality, doing good to others is one of the few things that we can NEVER take a holiday from.
2) Keep the Law. Fulfill the Law. Forget the Law. Live by the Law. The Law will mess up the process of grace. Falling from grace is falling back into the Law. Paul had one Law in mind, James another. What a mess. Unless we use the key to understanding the Law, where there is a distinction. We examine what those distinctions are.
3) Forever in our Hearts: We examine a devotional from Pastor Ray, our dear brother in the Lord. Today’s devotional is entitled “Take off the Mask,” similar to one of my brother’s songs called “unmasked.” The word Hypocrite (hupo-crites in Greek) comes from putting on a mask, taking it off, and putting on another mask. That’s great for theatre, but not for our witness. That show should be over.

This 30-minutes is all about:
A) As adults, it may be extremely helpful to remember that God is our FATHER, which is a very kind way to say that we are CHILDREN.
B) We can’t afford to be conformed to our former passions. This scripture alone shows that the old us is still active against us.
C) No unique judgments for different believers. In other words, God doesn’t; evaluate each of us with different standards, but He does know what the differences have been going on in our individual lives.
D) Let’s keep this in mind during our temporary stay here on earth.

Welcome to the 90-minute show of The David Spoon Experience.
This 60-minutes is all about:
1) The modern world. It is incredible how many things we can do. Everybody knows that people in our day and age are the best at multitasking. We can breathe, walk, and chew gum simultaneously. We can drive while listening to music or watch TV while carrying on conversations. We can use our electronic devices while using electronic devices. Hilarious. We are awful at multitasking, compared to the Israelites of old.
2) Spreading too thin. What’s the problem? It is dangerous to be vulnerable. When we are spread too thin, we create openings for the enemy to attack. Red Rover is a game that makes the point, breaching the line at the weakest point. This applies to our inside life too.
3) Listen up. Be alert. The trumpet call is for gathering. This is just like the trumpet blowing when Jesus returns. We will be gathering together as a collective. The biblical answer is to “tighten up.” Don’t separate from people who see The Scriptures differently from you. If they are genuine, bible-believing born-again Christians, who love Jesus, then we stand by each other. God fights on our collective side. For His glory.

This 30-minutes is all about:
A) Our good brother Sergio calls in with a fantastic question about denominations. Dave riffs with an answer that explains the twelve tribes and one Israel and how that connects to the body of Christ.
B) Our great brother Eric calls in with an amazing testimony about his family and his faith. He shares how God used him as a vehicle without him being the major player in the illumination.

Top Show! Welcome to the 90-minute show of The David Spoon Experience.
This 30-minutes is all about:
A) The Bible defines a priest as someone who deals with people in matters pertaining to God. That’s why EVERY believer is a priest.
B) This priesthood focuses on offerings and sacrifices (both of which are thru Jesus), the gifts we bring to God to seek mercy for our sins.
C) According to 1 Peter 2:7-9 (that would be those of us who are believers), A good priest helps with the ignorant and those going astray.
D) But ONLY Jesus doesn’t have to “cover Himself” because of our own sins. These sins make everyone (besides Jesus) an inferior priest.
This 60-minutes is all about:
1) The truth is that YOU and I should not be as spiritually astute as we are. God took us and baptized us into the spiritual world. All of a sudden, we became alive to “spiritual things.” We started to see things that we couldn’t see before. How is that possible? With men, this is impossible, but with God, all things are possible. Including acquiring spiritual knowledge that we did not fully prepare for. Let me tell you a story about my dad and me.
2) Jesus taught by images, parables, references to nature, and other illustrations. When we are praying for a collective, we often find ourselves using a shotgun approach, and there is NOTHING wrong with that. It is faith that is applied broadly. But other times call for a sniper-style of prayer, with a laser focus and precise targeting.
3) What kind of refreshment does Jesus suggest? Listen to find out.

Welcome to the 90-minute show of The David Spoon Experience.
This 60-minutes is all about:
1) Stephen, full of faith and power. Not by his power. But he had fantastic faith. He is the first listed amongst the seven chosen for the task of distribution. He also becomes the first “new church” martyr. He sets an incredible example. But first, he has a lot to say. But first, he has THE PRIVILEGE of following in the same steps of Jesus. Wow. Us too. Philippians 1:29 states that for you have been given the privilege of trusting in Christ and the privilege of suffering for him.
2) The wisdom and the Spirit. The beginning of wisdom is the fear of the Lord. And wisdom is the principal thing, according to Proverbs. Knowledge is acquiring facts; wisdom is how to use those facts. Wisdom is both a maturing and a gift. And who is the Agency of that gift? The Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit enables us to communicate in wisdom, which sometimes is beyond ourselves. That’s happened to you when you said something brilliant, and then you said to yourself, “who just said that?”
3) People who often lack actual biblical knowledge have a weird capacity to accuse Christians of things they never said or never meant. They tell LIES. They say that Christians hate all homosexuals because Christians disagree with that lifestyle. Believers take a stand, and then the liars accuse them of being haters. When Christians don’t support the godless, they are attacked by Satan’s worldly agents. This tactic is so old. It’s as old as when the Dead Sea was still sick.
