Welcome to the 90-minute show of The David Spoon Experience.
This 30-minutes is all about:
A) It’s incredible to consider that when we go through a trial, sometimes the Lord’s presence in our lives is an indicator of His favor
B) Tested my heart: This is for those of us who don’t think that God is testing us on a regular basis. The test is in our hearts, not on paper. And He sees everything we process, even in the night times.
C) King David was a better dude than me. He wanted God to examine him. Me too. He was found safe. Me, not too.

Welcome to the 90-minute show of The David Spoon Experience.
This 30-minutes is all about:
A) By the words of your lips: it’s both the Logos and the Rhema. The written word and the spoken word (Jesus used the word “Rhema” in the temptations against the enemy). By keeping His words, we are safe.
B) So close to the boundary. Doesn’t the Christian walk have this sentiment? Sometimes we are close to the edge and down by the water. Yes. But God protects us from our disasters.
C) I will call, and You will hear—salvation through prayer. In Joel and Romans, we are told, “Whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved,” which is salvation through prayer.

Welcome to the 90-minute show of The David Spoon Experience.
This 60-minutes is all about:
1) The Gospel of John starts this way: In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. So, without being too theological, there was nothing. Then God spoke. Then there was something. Something out of nothing, because God was the Agency that created the something. This is Apologetics, 101. Apologetics is the defense of the faith. And our faith starts with a Word. So therefore, words must be exceedingly important.
2) There is power in words. By words, wars have started. By words, wars have ended. There is life in words. There is death in words. We don’t need to be legalistic about this. A burp is neither life nor death. But when we speak, there is an impact. When we speak, this is an opportunity to build, and there is an opportunity to tear down. God has a book that records our words (Malachi 3:16). How is that for a startling thought?
3) Bondage and freedom can come from our words. We have two ears, eyes, nostrils, and one mouth. And there are multiple places where our words matter: Our words towards God, ourselves, other believers, and non-believers are in play. Therefore, we need to be wise in how we play.

Funday Monday! Welcome to the 90-minute show of The David Spoon Experience.
This 30-minutes is all about:
A) Prepare our minds for actions. What does that mean? It means that before we go out of our “bedroom” (not house), we have our tuner on.
B) Be sober-minded. So, does that mean I should never have any alcohol? For some people, yes. What about medications? For some people, yes. Anything is permissible, but we can’t be controlled by it.
C) Hope, fully set on the end game? I know that Peter has mentioned this before already. So there must be a reason he repeats it. Yes? Yes?

Funday Monday! Welcome to the 90-minute show of The David Spoon Experience.
This 60-minutes is all about:
1) Somehow, in the Christian journey, a paradigm was created. A paradigm is viewing or looking at something, animate or inanimate. When the Bible teaches us to walk by faith and not by sight (2 Cor. 5:7), it is not saying to deny what is being seen. Instead, the Word teaches us how to add to the picture for a better understanding. This requires us to look at the situation or scenario, not pretend it doesn’t exist.
2) Fear is a killer of faith. Fear is a confidence that the bad, the evil, or the wrong will win the day. Fear is captivating. Ironically, faith is liberating. Jesus came to set the captives free from bondage. That bondage is to sin and fear. Fear keeps people’s eyes glued to the TV, The Internet, or social media. Faith keeps our focus on Jesus Christ, praying to our Heavenly Father, walking in the power of the Holy Spirit, having our eyes glued to the Word of God. Only one is correct. Choose!
3) Have you ever seen a movie, a tv show, or any other form of entertainment where the character, in a thick Italian accent, says, “Forget about it?” Most of the time that is what we do. But in the wrong directions. We forget about what the Lord had done and dwell in what we think the Lord should do. But that’s backward. We should remember what the Lord has done and wait to see what He’s gonna do. Kapeesh?

This 30-minutes is all about:
A) Recapping our Hebrews journey, we examined Jesus being tempted in every way like us two weeks ago. Regardless, Jesus never caved.
B) Therefore, because of Him, we can approach the throne. Jesus went through what we go through but didn’t sin. Now we have open access.
C) Receive mercy and look for grace. Because even though there are relational truths, they are situational too. And always in the nick of time.
D) Sometimes, we approach the throne with extreme humility. Other times, we come charging like a bull. But, fret not; God isn’t freaking out.

This 60-minutes is all about:
1) Okey-dokey. I don’t want to glorify any violence. It’s not cool. And warfare always has violence connected to it. But not all warfare is human warfare. Some conflict is more important than blood and borders. Some fighting is for people’s eternity, for their very souls. That’s why we, as soldiers in the Lords’ army, need to understand where the frontlines are. When the Word is sown, there is warfare taking place.
2) I cannot diligently or faithfully stress the need for unity amongst believers. I know that you think I harp on this. I appreciate your groans. I can’t figure out why we all understand that political diversity is highly sharp and toxic. We don’t consider the ramifications of the lack of Christian unity. If political agreement enables a country to accomplish more, how much more is this true for believers in Jesus?
3) Once again, we dabble in the realm that makes every Christian shudder. Which realm is that, Dave? The realm of the Blasphemy of the Holy Spirit. Some people get so uptight that they don’t want to hear about it, let alone think about it. But that’s not God’s intention. He wants us to examine ALL things, even if it makes hairs on our arms rise.

This 30-minutes is all about:
A) God cares about EVERY PART OF US. Inside and out. When it comes to your wellness, it’s not a little here and a little there.
B) God is faithful. An unfaithful person is like a broken tooth or a foot out of joint (Proverbs 25:19). But that’s NOT God.
C) Pray for us. We all need to pray for one another. When we refresh others, we get refreshed. When we pray for others, we get prayed for.

Strong closing segment:
This 60-minutes is all about:
1) The people reviewed the people. Who didn’t review the people for this new ministry position? The Apostles didn’t do the review. The people made a selection about those who were of good reputation, full of the Holy Spirit (you can always tell) and wisdom. This means that the candidates had to be known. They were all part of the fellowship. It was not a stranger. And all seven dudes had Greek names.
2) Stephan got an extra prop; He was also full of faith! That’s cool but notice the progression. The Apostles gave the instructions, the people made choices, and the Apostles gave the blessings. While the prayer included everyone, the Apostles were in the lead. And they laid their hands on the inductees. What’s that all about? The same thing happened in the Gospels and with Moses, conferment and commission.
3) So, what was the actual result of the problem being solved? It generated a greater unity in the church, which yielded a greater harvest. So, the agreement created an expansion of the kingdom. Gee, I wonder if this is something that God knew about? Unity translates into kingdom advancement. Who would have thunk it? Jesus did when He said, “People will know by your love for one another.” Let’s witness through our harmony. And I ain’t talking about our singing.

A) We close in on one of my favorite Psalms, Number 16, which is “in the house.”
B) The path of life. Only God can shine the light on the path. The Light is what Jesus said He is. The Light of the world.
C) In Your presence. Are we looking for a steady stream of joy in life? This is the ultimate essence of Heaven. God’s presence.

Welcome to the 90-minute show of The David Spoon Experience.
This 60-minutes is all about:
1) It’s not surprising that examining the book of Revelation finds resistance from the average Christian. This is because there are a few different ways to approach it. Historically, futuristically, symbolically, or all three. Regardless, Revelation 1 is one of the few places where the promise of God is we get blessed “just for reading it.” But what about the portions that are straightforward instructions to the church? How important are those?
2) If Jesus tells the first church in the book of Revelation, the church at Ephesus, that He is certainly pleased with the good things that they are doing, then that would be encouraging. In reality, He specifically points out their perseverance in praise. However, when He follows it up with “Yet,” then there are some issues that should raise our eyebrows too! Usually, good endures. But the bad that Jesus points out was too much.
3) Wowzers! What kind of bad can we get involved with would make Jesus say, “I will remove your entire church?” Whatever that is, we don’t want that at our church or any other church. So, what was it? It’s going through the motions of talking good, looking good, and acting good. How can that be? Because the church was moving from passion to piety, from faith to sight, and from relationship to religion.

This 30-minutes is all about:
A) Christians need to understand that God loves everyone. He pours the sun on the evil and the good. He pours His rain on the good and the bad. He loves everybody. But not in the same way.
B) It’s not very impressive if we always love the people that love us. That’s because we are just repaying them. The real challenge is the Christian loving others who don’t love us. Ouch.
C) What does it mean that we should be perfect like our heavenly Father is perfect. He is flawless. We are not. So how can we be perfect?
