Welcome to the 90-minute show of The David Spoon Experience.
This 60-minutes is all about:
1) What’s the best thing that can happen to the church? Growth. What’s the worst thing that can happen to the church? Growth. Why and why? Because growth means that more people are getting saved, and we are one more salvation closer to the return of Jesus. And because with growth comes human management and influence on the structural elements of gatherings. Complaining often manifests. Not every complaint regarding the church is a deficient complaint.
2) So, what was the issue with the church? There were two types of Jewish people in the faith. Remember, no Gentiles yet. There were Hebraic and Grecians Jews. The trouble was that the Grecian Jews were contributing to the cause. They were giving to the work. However, their widows were being neglected. Here’s the key: it’s not that there are problems. It’s all about HOW we handle the issues.
3) The Apostles made a significant point. Their task was to oversee the church, but certain affairs could be and should be handled by others. Their commitment was diving deeper into the Scriptures and prayer. Here is a glimpse of early church forms of church government. It is a collaboration between the people and the leaders. Anything else is contrary to God. It’s all about continual partnerships.

This 30-minutes is all about:
A) You will not leave me in Sheol, the land of the dead! God will NEVER leave us in the “DEAD ZONE” literally and situationally.
B) A messianic reference that Peter quotes in Acts 2, which shows the connection between this prophetic word and the resurrection of Jesus.

Superb Show! Welcome to the 90-minute show of The David Spoon Experience.
This 60-minutes is all about:
1) There is a forever promised land that we look forward to. But until that land is fully manifest, there are steppingstones that we are on. God has a “land” for us now. Is it post-Millennial to believe that God has territory for us? Not at all. Consider the children of Israel. They were brought out of Egypt, which represents the bondage, and eventually into the new land through the wilderness (which means a long trail). The BIG assist is how to view this.
2) Here is the key: We need to face a specific direction on this journey. This is where the breakdown happens. If we travel through the MapQuest of God, we quickly find that the best way to read His map is NOT upside-down. This means that when we read His guideposts, we need to read them, looking forward, not backward.
3) The idea of voyaging to a new land before entering the perfect promised land is woven throughout the scriptures. But God gives us some parameters to make this adventure with. These bumper pads are straightforward. The process can’t be done while looking backward. If we look backward towards anything but God’s grace, we get sucked down into the pit. Stay out of the hole. Look up and look ahead.

This 30-minutes is all about:
A) Let’s clear the air. This has to do with insults and personalized revenge. This does not have to do with family defense.
B) To resist in Greek means “to retaliate against,” which tells us how much of this has to do with retaliation.
C) Cordelia calls in with a phenomenal testimony. God is awesome.

Welcome to the 90-minute show of The David Spoon Experience.
This 60-minutes is all about:
1) How important is our willingness to follow the Lord? Contrary to popular political opinion, our relationship with the Lord is SIGNIFICANTLY more important than our relationship with anyone and anything else. That includes work, friends, and family. Without reservation. Abraham learned the hard way. But his life was an example for Christians. After all, he is called the father of our faith in the NT.
2) The proof of power is in a partnership with the proof of truth. When God displays His power, He affirms His Word and to His character. And when God brings His miraculous power, which only takes a moment, he doesn’t do it behind a screen. The miracles of God are for our viewing. They are spectacular, and they are on OPEN display.
3) Even the Apostle Paul asked for prayer to help him share the Gospel.

Welcome to the 90-minute show of The David Spoon Experience.
This 30-minutes is all about:
A) Welcome to 1st Peter. The epistle for the believers who need to be “pumped up.” You look marvelous.
B) In this, you greatly rejoice! The glory to follow. Why is this important? Because of what the church was in the middle of.
C) The SHORT sufferings of various kinds. Is there one kind? No. Can suffering be seen in multiple applications? It says that EXACT principle.
D) BUT WHY does GOD allow it? For our benefit. Because the authenticity of our faith…needs to be revealed…TO US! To His glory.

Welcome to the 90-minute show of The David Spoon Experience.
This 60-minutes is all about:
1) Scoffed at with false accusations. Once we dig in our heels (1), examine the situation (2), determine the best course of action forward (3), and remember that we are in a partnership with God (4), something else comes. Spiritual warfare. This is usually in the form of ridicule, false accusations (remember that satan is the accuser of the brethren), and attempted discouragement to stop us from moving forward. Lies.
2) We should have a reply ready for spiritual warfare. We should be prepared to respond to attacks by the enemy, using people of the world. How do we prepare? By knowing and saying that the God of Heaven will help us succeed. This creates an open door, through faith, of God’s manifested miracles to enable us to prevail. This is the God part of the partnership. If God is for us, who can be against us? And who cares?
3) Dedicated is such a powerful image in the Bible. Holy, separated, surrendered ownership, devoted, or in honor of God. He wants the work of our hands dedicated to Him. He wants our minds to be dedicated as well as our hearts. He wants us to be committed to Him. That means we are His property. It doesn’t mean we are perfect, but that He owns us.

This 30-minutes is all about:
A) We analyze how much God sees of us. It’s more than we think.
B) All the world IS a stage, including our private moments—curtain call.
C) Ephesians 3:10 > His intent was that now, through the church, the manifold wisdom of God should be made known to the rulers and authorities in the heavenly realms.
D) This brings us to the conclusion that we need to “hold on” to our confession of faith about Jesus. That Jesus is the Son of God.

Welcome to the 90-minute show of The David Spoon Experience.
This 60-minutes is all about:
1) Ahithophel (A-hith-a-fell) was one of the wisest counselors of his time. He was brilliant. And hearing his voice was like hearing the voice of God (2 Samuel 16:23). He knew he was wise. He knew his counsel was good. He knew he was right. But when God is not on your side, the most brilliant shine turns into the murkiest darkness. So his opinion of himself led to self-destruction.
2) America holds the most powerful influence in the world. China holds the most powerful influence in the world. Russia holds the most powerful influence in the world. Rome holds the most powerful influence in the world. Greece holds the most powerful influence in the world. The press holds the most powerful influence in the world. Disney holds the most powerful influence in the world. That’s so funny; I forgot to laugh.
3) We offer another devotional from our beloved friend, Pastor Ray Bentley. These devotionals still minister to us. How powerful that Ray still blesses us even while he’s dancing on streets of gold. Today’s devotional is entitled “Encouraging Words,” which should communicate encouragement. And this devotional will do just that. So, let’s head into the weekend being inspired.

Welcome to the 90-minute show of The David Spoon Experience.
This 60-minutes is all about:
1) Unless the LORD builds the house, those who build it labor in vain (Psalm 127:1). Labor that people engage with has to be directed, approved, or permitted by God. Period. If God says no, then the answer is no. Ask all the people who tried to build the Tower of Babel how that went. God may permit something, but if He is opposed, the project is dead on arrival. That’s true in every realm, including the spiritual.
2) On the flip side, if something that seems humanly insignificant is in God’s architectural plans, it’s going to happen. Maybe it’s water out of a rock. Perhaps it’s a sea that God wants people to walk down the middle of. And maybe it’s an insignificant Carpenter who lives a perfect life and develops a movement without any weapons of human warfare. His Kingdom is STILL growing 2000 years later. Is there something small that God is growing in you? Despise not the day of small things.
3) The conclusion of the leaders of Israel was to have the disciples beaten. Yes, they had “that level” of power. They wanted to kill the disciples but settled for a pound of flesh and a rebuke, to which the disciples already said they would not honor. Then, the disciples called CNN and Fox News and went on the radio to tell everyone how unjust this situation was. Or did they?

More Fun! Welcome to the 90-minute show of The David Spoon Experience.
This 60-minutes is all about:
1) Certain principles within the Christian Faith are phenomenal. Grace, mercy, love, forgiveness, redemption, healing, safety, faith, hope, and so much more. And then other principles in the Christian faith somewhat make us want to scratch our eyes out. No principle is more complicated than this one; WE are not in control. Over our flesh, yes! Over our universal events, not even close.
2) Formulas can be a funny thing in the faith. Some are goofy because they become the ONLY way for people to function. Other formulas are entrenched in the examples of the people of God that we sometimes just plain forget to operate in. The Israelites had several hiccups in their journeys. But, they had substantial victories too. We examine their path.
3) Do you ever feel like you are facing giants? Do you tend to sense that the odds are against you? It’s incredible to think that this type of circumstance can be by Divine design. We need to understand that God will, and often does, make it impossible in the view of the human eye. But in the eye of faith, a new picture emerges. It’s a portrait of unlimited possibilities. And it’s how God wants us to see it. It’s how we are encouraged to see all of life.
