Scratchy Voice, tough topics, but still decent. Welcome to the 90-minute show of The David Spoon Experience.
This 60-minutes is all about:
1) Decisions are a major part of life. There are big decisions. These often require a great deal of prayer and counsel—a calling out to God for James 1:5-6. There are also intermediate decisions. They still call for prayer, and sometimes council, and James 1:5-6. Then there are other decisions that we have to make. For example, what type of shirt and what color will we wear? And other such “every day” decisions. SKIP THE PRIDE ONCE YOU DECIDE.
2) This amazing instrument called a brain is between your left and right ear. God gave it to you. It is granted that many of us tend to dull our abilities. But God expects us to use the instruments He gives us with a sense of reverence and judgment. This is where maturity is called for. Then, we were thinking in childish ways. That was then. This is now.
3) In lieu of greater spiritual attacks against the church and against authentic followers of Jesus Christ, it is important for believers to distinguish between believers who reach different conclusions and false teachers. Testing the spirits is testing the things that are spoken by others AND the spirit with which they are spoken. Demonic teachings are real. But different conclusions are not always demonic.

A TOP SHOW:
Welcome to the 90-minute show of The David Spoon Experience.
This 30-minutes is all about:
A) The Word of God is Living. If it’s dull, you are the one that is dead, not God’s Word. Fresh to every generation because the Word is fresh!
B) Penetrating means that the Word of God, written by the Spirit of God, has the ability to X-Ray our hearts and minds without missing anything.
C) The Word of God can judge our thoughts and our intentions directly, just by our reading it, with sincerity. It is a mirror from God.

A TOP SHOW:
Welcome to the 90-minute show of The David Spoon Experience.
This 60-minutes is all about:
1) First, self-evaluation is not a bad thing. There are at least ten references in the New Testament to do so. There is a moment when Jesus challenges the Disciples at the Last Supper. He makes a statement that one of His followers will betray Him. That is our worst fear if we are authentic believers. We cannot escape that Jesus chose the Twelve, so He purposely chose someone who would betray Him. But we examine how ALL the Disciples respond.
2) You are not a blockhead. I am not a nitwit. Most of the time. But when it comes to ministry and being a vessel of the Lord, we have a rather unique competency. That’s because our competency is not from our own strength, power, or wisdom. Our proficiency comes directly from God, bypassing much of our rocks for brains. Thank God (get it?) it doesn’t fully depend on us.
3) It is important to note that while our competency comes from God (2 Corinthians 3:5), we are not in a state of suspended animation during our engagements with and for God. He gives us talents, gifts, abilities, and stewardships to be used for His glory and honor. That means that we have to operate with a wee bit of faith, risk, trust, boldness, and good old fashion sweat. To that end, to insult Him as the Giver seems dumb. But how do we insult Him? By burying the stewardships that He gives us.

Welcome to the 90-minute show of The David Spoon Experience.
This 30-minutes is all about:
A) Rejoice Always, Pray Constantly. Be thankful for Everything. Gee, I wonder if these ideas are connected? Wait just a minute; they are?
B) What Scriptures could we use to justify always being thankful, besides Romans 8:28? Well, there’s Eph. 5:20 AND 2 Cor. 2:14.
C) For people who argue against this, do you realize that you are standing against people using faith and being thankful to God? Smart?

Welcome to the 90-minute show of The David Spoon Experience.
This 60-minutes is all about:
1) Miracles are the “coolest stuff” in the Kingdom of God. Don’t misunderstand. God’s love, grace, mercy, kindnesses are all at the top of most people’s lists. But Miracles are just cool. For the people of God, they are reinforcements to our faith. They are gracelets that manifest in different times and different ways. Yeah, for miracles. But for the non-believers, miracles can lose their impression. Something incredible can happen, and the non-believers are only concerned with what’s next.
2) The name of Jesus is so great. Jesus, Jesus, Jesus, there’s just something about that name. Kings and Kingdoms shall all pass away, but there’s something about that name. Unless you don’t like Jesus, despise Jesus, or reject Jesus. But then, the name of Jesus makes the person cringe. Some people are so adamant about their opposition to Jesus that they wouldn’t even, couldn’t even say His name.
3) Here is the defining moment of the Scriptures in the New Testament, post-resurrection, regarding the dividing line between governmental obedience referenced in Romans thirteen and the practical application of what to do when Divine requirements are in opposition to God’s commands. If there is a conflict between government and God, you obey God. There is no possible biblical challenge to this worthy of note. Fini!

Welcome to the 90-minute show of The David Spoon Experience.
This 30-minutes is all about:
A) One of my favorite Psalms, Number 16, is “in the house.”
B) From the inner man, the deepest part of us, cries the truth, “YOU…are my Lord.” Regardless, of regardless, YOU are Lord!
C) My goodness is a great expression, but the truth is that my goodness, your goodness, our goodness, does not “extend” beyond the Lord.
D) As for the saints, who go marching in, THEY are my enjoyment. True love for one another in the faith has always been the calling card.

Welcome to the 90-minute show of The David Spoon Experience.
This 60-minutes is all about:
1) We are not the world. We are the Kingdom. And we are called to represent Jesus to the world, collectively. So, when we allow the enemy to rob us of the unity that is ALREADY established for us from having our same dad (the heavenly Father), our blood relationship (the Lord Jesus) and our living water (the Holy Spirit), we fall more into the realm of the flesh. Denominations, Bible versions, and styles of ecclesiology mean little when we enter eternity’s door.
2) So, again, we must understand that the two summations of the commandments, with the addition of a new commandment from Jesus (love one another), are a part of our testimony to the world. How is that a testimony? It testifies to the love of God because we use that SAME love to love one another. That empowerment from the Triune God is how we do it, show it, and the key that impacts others.
3) From a practical point of view, how we love is simpler than we want to acknowledge. It’s all in the wrist. Jesus’ wrist. He carried (get it…carried) our burdens and debts by His wrists. And that is what is required of you and me; to carry one another. So, we examine practical thoughts on how to “carry one another” and thereby honor the Lord!

What a FUN show: Welcome to the 90-minute show of The David Spoon Experience.
This 30-minutes is all about:
A) To the FIRST Book of the New Testament. This Gospel was written for the Jewish people. To the Jew first, and then…
B) a profound challenge from Jesus to His followers: Separate from anything that makes your walk harder, including cravings.
C) Chop, chop your right eye. Right is “typically” seen as the favored eye, and the idea is to “cut out” anything we SEE that holds us back.
D) Chop, chop your right hand. Right is “typically” seen as the favored eye, and the idea is to “cut off” anything we DO that holds us back.

What a FUN Show: Welcome to the 90-minute show of The David Spoon Experience.
This 60-minutes is all about:
1) A classic saying that is mostly distorted is that beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Wrong. Sinful humans always operate with a stained soul. Job 14:4 states; There is no way a human can be completely pure. And what people often see as waste or useless actions (like sending prayers for others due to a disaster) turns out to be something beautiful in the eyes of God. Perspective is not someone’s right if it’s an insult to God.
2) I think I can. I think I can. I know I can. I know I can. I can. I can. Let’s acknowledge that for a train, this is a good book. And to teach that people should try …is a solid biblical principle. The problem is that when we get older and more steeped in sin, we start to use this mantra for our personal philosophy. And we take this attitude into activities that show how great we are, all by ourselves. Quick question? Where did that breath come from for you or me to do anything? Anyone? Anyone?
3) We gotta love Divine discipline. O.K., maybe we don’t “gotta” love it, but we should understand its purpose. God doesn’t spank us (that’s right, I said spank) because He’s bored or angry. God disciplines us because He loves us too much to let us keep going the wrong way.

Welcome to the 90-minute show of The David Spoon Experience.
This 30-minutes is all about:
A) Welcome to 1st Peter. The epistle for the believers who need to be “pumped up.” You look marvelous.
B) We have been born-again “into” a living hope through Jesus! The new birth was given to us. The living hope is a part of the package.
C) Another awesome benefit of being born-again is receiving an inheritance. Our inheritance cannot lose value. It’s reserved.

Welcome to the 90-minute show of The David Spoon Experience.
This 60-minutes is all about:
1) Safety is from the Lord. Psalm 68:20 states, Our God is a God of salvation, and to GOD, the Lord, belong deliverances from death. Sometimes the Lord does it miraculously. Sometimes, it’s by a show of force from an outside influence. Who cares where it comes from as long as it comes from the Lord? Nehemiah had safety from a show of force. Good enough.
2) Here comes some politics. You cannot read the whole of scriptures and miss the connections. Anybody who says you should do what the government says because you are supposed to love your neighbor is a nincompoop. Also, anyone who has an agenda against Israel is part of the Haters Club. Whether it’s politicians or cable news, there are clearly defined by 1 John 4 as false prophets. They should never be regarded.
3) There are seasons when we explore new ideas, visions, or ministries with God. There is nothing wrong and everything right about this. But it is important to understand that you are not “yet” called to share your plans, ideas, or pictures with anyone during this process. Sometimes the best parts of real wisdom are to keep some of these things to yourself.

Welcome to the 90-minute show of The David Spoon Experience.
This 30-minutes is all about:
A) God specifies a certain day for people to respond to Him. Do we know when that is? It is TODAY, RIGHT NOW, THIS MOMENT.
B) Resting from our own works means that while we have “good works,” those good works don’t actually save us. Only the perfection that God requires can meet the standard. Only in Jesus!
C) We need to be careful of the patterns that we walk in, especially bad patterns. Any pattern without faith is a bad pattern.
