A Tribute To Pastor Ray Bentley: Welcome to the 90-minute show of The David Spoon Experience.
This 60-minutes is all about:
1) Dreams can be so much fun. They can be funny, weird, like a hot sauce dream. And they can be bizarre beyond any Twilight Zone show. But God does speak through dreams. And from time to time, He will speak to you and me, or Job was a liar when he said: "He speaks in dreams, in visions of the night, when deep sleep falls on people, as they lie in their beds" in Job 33:15.
2) Here's an interesting truth about God communicating through dreams; Some of those dreams are unconditional. There is nothing attached to them. They will happen. Period! But other dreams may be conditional, with obligations of certain actions that the Lord requires from us. And these lessons, as Job wrote in chapter 33:16-17, can be hard. Not every lesson from God is skittles and rainbows.
3) Here is a key to understanding what God is communicating: Sometimes, the harshest lessons, the toughest dreams, the deepest rebukes are based on God's unlimited love and commitment to us. He warns us and redirects us to protect us. God doesn't reprimand us because He hates us. On the contrary, true biblical love is shown when God rebukes us because He loves us, EXACTLY as Jesus said in Revelation 3:19. So, we need to put on our big boy pants and listen.

Welcome to the 90-minute show of The David Spoon Experience.
This 30-minutes is all about:
A) To the FIRST Book of the New Testament. This Gospel was written for the Jewish people. To the Jew first, and then…
B) If “we” remember that a genuine brother or sister has something genuinely against us, we are told to be the agents of peace.
C) If we remember a tension between us and other spiritual families, it’s the Holy Spirit. Why? He knows that we can carry conflict into prayer.
D) By the reasoning of escalation, Jesus warns us how far something can go. All the way to the public, where believers dampen their testimony, and unbelievers determine the less than Godly outcome.

Welcome to the 90-minute show of The David Spoon Experience.
This 60-minutes is all about:
1) Don’t eat the fruit from this tree. If you do, you will die. Spiritually first and then physically. So, don’t eat the fruit. Don’t do it. You can have any other fruit in the whole Garden. Anything. Eat up. It’s all yours for the choosing. Don’t focus on the no, no. Focus on the yes, yes. More definitive is “Do not touch,” which means don’t touch it. Period!
2) One of the many keys to engagement with God is realizing that we are not informing Him of anything when we pray. He is omniscient. He knows what the prayers will be and whether they will have a mustard seed of faith. What He wants (and enjoys) is the engagement, the interaction between Him and His creation. So, in this string of wisdom, honesty is not only the best policy, but it’s also the only policy.
3) “Jesus, your words are too hard to live by and too hard to understand. So we’re taking our ball and going home.” These people were upset. But they were dumb-dumb upset, so they left and went home. King David was upset but in an honest way. He didn’t take his ball and go home. He wanted to figure out how to get past the obstacle between him and God.

This 30-minutes is all about:
A) We’re having some fun during New Year’s Week, 2022.
B) Sometimes, it’s good to see and understand that previous believers had their “moments” of good. And really, really, bad too.
C) In instances of desperation, there is one critical question to ask and one to answer.
D) in 2022, we will engage in more teachings about giving. The host needs to grow up too. My past cannot impact my calling to teach it all.

Welcome to the 90-minute show of The David Spoon Experience.
This 60-minutes is all about:
1) There is a balance that the Lord requires of us. To demand something from God is arrogant. But to lack confidence that God moves on our behalf is foolishness. The balance must be held in wisdom. Everything we petition, we surrender to God. But God challenges us to believe bigger than we ever have. He tells us that through Him, nothing is impossible. We need to move into the levels of mustard seed faith.
2) Who is that leads you and me to victory? We know that it is Jesus. We know that the hand of the Divine changes circumstances in our favor when His glory is involved. We tend to forget that when God changes those circumstances, He brings the situation into a victory and a testimony. He leads us. But He leads us to victory. We win with God. But we still win.
3) Let’s see. God and one make a majority. So, when we think about doing things in the Lord, do we consider that we are in the majority? Frequently, as Christians, we quickly recognize the need for Jesus on the cross. We need this. It is our Friday. But what we often do is stay in that place. Jesus was on the cross. But NOW He is off the cross and is ruling at the right hand of the Father. It was Friday, but NOW, it’s Sunday.

Welcome to the 90-minute show of The David Spoon Experience.
This 60-minutes is all about:
1) The prophets predict much gloom and doom this coming year. In some ways, they will be right. In other ways, they will be wrong. Regardless, these prophets are not from God. They are from the world. Born-again, Bible-believers are encouraged by God to have a different take on 2022. We desire to be more like Jesus and grow in our relationship with the Lord. This expectational attitude is encouraged by God.
2) What we need to mature in is not whether the Lord will bring more of His Kingdom into our lives. Luke 12:32 makes it clear that it is God’s “good pleasure” to do so. We need to grow up in the timing and method that the Lord will use to bring more of Him into our earthly journey. He knows how He will do it. He’s just not telling.
3) We need to “exercise” this year. Yes, many of us (including me, need to hit the gym a little more often. But we also need to exercise in such a way as to grow our spiritual muscles. That will involve Bible time, Prayer time, Fellowship time, Serving time, and more. But the first major hurdle we need to overcome is for us to…make the decision to trust God no matter what we see. We need to decide not to lean on our own understanding. In 2022, we need to commit to trusting God!

This 30-minutes is all about:
A) To the FIRST Book of the New Testament. This Gospel was written for the Jewish people. To the Jew first, and then…
B) Our righteousness needs to be greater than the Pharisees. That’s both righteousness found in Jesus Christ alone and with genuine sincerity.
C) You have heard that it has been said, BUT. The first takeaway from Jesus’s Sermon on the Mount is that His Word is greater than any other.
D) We covered the principle of a fool; Now we cover being angry with your “brother or sister” AND insulting them. Tread carefully.

One of our Best Shows: Welcome to the 90-minute show of The David Spoon Experience.
This 60-minutes is all about:
1) There have been hundreds of new ideas for church growth. There are seminars. There are books. There are five-year denominational plans. There are friendship celebrations. There are door-to-door strategies along with street evangelism. It’s all there, and it’s all available. But since only God can give the growth (1 Cor. 3:6), let’s see what He wrote as the actual Church Leader.
2) We often read the New Testament and think, “I would never have been a Sadducee.” But is that true? Many Christians today have a very well-organized fake religiosity. Some don’t believe that angels are here to minister to the heirs of salvation. Others hardly live like there is a resurrection. And still, more who don’t know the Scriptures of the power of God. Every one of those definitions defines a Sadducee.
3) We examine one of the greatest principles of the Scriptures. And we stand on the shoulders of a giant to help us do it. Pastor Ray writes one of the most important devotions we need to live in for 2022 and beyond. It has to do keys and heavy doors. It has to do with prison and freedoms. And most importantly, it has to do with Jesus!

B) Chosen by God, the Father. Your heavenly Father chose you as His child. This is the undeniable part.
C) Sanctified by the Holy Spirit. The process of sanctification means the process of dedication. This is the ongoing part.
D) Sprinkled by the Blood. It only takes a drop of the righteous bool of Jesus to make us fully clean. This is the amazing gift part.

Welcome to the 90-minute show of The David Spoon Experience.
This 60-minutes is all about:
1) When we have a passion, a mission, a movement from God within ourselves, we need to seek the Lord for definition. We certainly don’t need to know every detail, as the Lord will rarely show us the “everything” upfront. That’s what faith is about. But a project from God will have certain boundaries and borders for us to get a hope-handle on. If not, how can we share it with others?
2) It is amazing how many people will help us if…we ask. But the reason we don’t ask is that we don’t want to burden others. Or we have too much pride to ask. Or we hate the idea of being rejected. Or any other series of excuses that come to mind. Excuses, excuses, you hear them every day. Well, the devil will provide them if, from God’s work, you’ll stay away. So, ask.
3) Right here in Nehemiah, we get the wisdom of the beginning of a project, especially when we involve others. Nehemiah asks the king for a certain amount of protection and safety. Of course, the king can’t cover every nook and cranny. Only God can do that. But for some basics, it doesn’t hurt to think “safety first,” specifically for the others around us.

B) We cover the mysterious and grand great truth that often feels so elusive. Christians should know better because we KNOW THE TRUTH.
C) We take a hammer to the idea, or the lie, that Christianity is some personal Christian Fantasyland. So, how do we handle bummers?
