Amazing Show! Welcome to the 90-minute show of The David Spoon Experience.
This 60-minutes is all about:
1) Having my own personal transporter, like from Star Trek, is one of my many unique desires. Why? Step on a platform, move a few buttons, and then I can get to where I want to go. What a tremendous help for us to travel anywhere. Did you know that there is a transporter for a Christian? There is a biblical application for the person who understands praise.
2) Grief, depression, discouragement, and all their friends try to hang around our necks regularly. If it’s not one form of darkness, then it’s another. So perhaps we can put on our Bible Hardhats and begin to “chase away” these awful adversaries through the power of the presence of God. In His presence, we are free from these foes and every other form of disappointment. In His presence is even the freedom from our shame.
3) Wow. I tell you, my brothers and sisters, on an often basis, that our vision, our dream, our goal, the end of our faith is to be with the Lord forever and ever. But we have to wait for Him to bring about the moment of no separation ever. In the meantime, there is something we can do to sync up and link here on earth. Let’s connect to Jesus and His presence more often through the one simple action: Praising God!

Dave pours out his heart, and confesses one of his greatest struggles.
Welcome to the 90-minute show of The David Spoon Experience.
This 60-minutes is all about:
1) Too often, when God does show up, we cry out, “it’s a ghost,” which shows how little we believe He is always with us. But look how the Lord responds when Peter is willing to take a risk. Jesus says GO FOR IT. Unfortunately, too many people avoid ministry and ministering for fear of failure. But, trying our best before the Lord also counts. Doing nothing, trying nothing, does not.
2) Faith Booster time: How can we tell we are operating in the lower gage of our faith fuel? By the self-testimony of saying to others, and to ourselves, we ONLY HAVE. Those words declare our lack of faith. It is right here, where we brothers and sisters drop the ball and think of the Almighty and all-powerful God in very, very small images.

Welcome to the 90-minute show of The David Spoon Experience.
This 60-minutes is all about:
1) Nehemiah arrives in Jerusalem thirteen years after the close of the book of Ezra. His ministry starts from one of the more unremarkable places. It comes from a visit from a relative. A person would usually prefer to have a sign from the heavens. That’s how ministry should launch. But it can come from a simple visit from friends and family and just hearing something that moves our hearts.
2) Nehemiah did something that is now considered a lost art. He listened. He was present when his relative shared with him. He didn’t pretend to hear. He inquired (How are you doing?), and when a response came, he listened (he didn’t appease to look awesome). When (not if) you ask people how they are, do your best to listen to what they say. They are entrusting you. So is God.
3) The wall was down, and the gates were burned. I don’t care about your political affiliation unless your politics conflict with the Scriptures. Here is the reality. In Heaven, there is a wall. Get over it. The is a gulf between Heaven and hell. And Proverbs 25:28 states A person without self-control is like a city with broken-down walls. It’s not a compliment. Get it?

This 30-minutes is all about:
A) Rocking and rolling (feet on the Rock, name on the role) in Hebrews.
B) People can provoke God to anger. Wow. That seems like another dumb idea for people.
C) When people “go astray” in their hearts, it certainly implies they were not astray before. For them, there is no rest.
D) Brothers and Sisters (you and me), according to God, an unbelieving heart is an evil heart.
E ) If you are missing your rest or peace from God, there is a proper approach to receiving it.

A Challenging, but Fun Show: Welcome to the 90-minute show of The David Spoon Experience.
This 60-minutes is all about:
1) So, there I am, reading an article online about the post-modernism society that we now find ourselves in. And low and behold, there is a picture of a group of activists (or, in this particular case, whinners) who are holding a sign that says, “love is love.” Wow. How insightful. It demonstrates that these people are wrong and don’t know what love is.
2) We double-dip, but a little different than George Costanza did on that Seinfeld episode. It’s a double dose of Pastor Ray and his unique and effective insights. The first helping of his wisdom has to do with being at the crossroads. Have you ever been there? I have. And I don’t feel like using cow livers to make the right decision. But then again, I don’t particularly appreciate going the wrong direction either.
3) We explore the deepest groans of people. When there is a loss of life, it is not easy for anyone. It wasn’t pleasant for Jesus when John the Baptist was executed. But he used a strategy that is effective today. It doesn’t have to be the physical death of someone that we were close to. It can be deep and hard pain. Jesus shows us the very best remedy.

Dave is having too much fun. Welcome to the 90-minute show of The David Spoon Experience.
This 30-minutes is all about:
A) The times and the seasons mean that there is more than one time and one season.
B) Eschatology is important. Period. And it’s fun. But you don’t NEED to be perfect in every nuance of it.
C) When the Lord comes for His church, it will so fast, it will be like a twinkle. That’s much faster than a blink.

Dave is having too much fun. And it's Cordelia's birthday. Welcome to the 90-minute show of The David Spoon Experience.
This 60-minutes is all about:
1) Let’s get on board. There is a wisdom to the Scriptures teaching us in the books of Acts about the church’s persecution. It spread the Gospel. God’s sovereignty, sometimes, calls for persecution. How did the early church respond to this trial? They prayed. Prayer opens up partnerships with God.
+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
2) Here is a radically cool example of “how” the early church functioned in prayer. We all know the model that Jesus laid out in the Sermon of the Mount. It serves us well. And here is another gracelet for us to use in prayer; The early church prayed using God’s Words …back to God. Lord, You said…so, therefore. It’s not manipulation but standing on His declaration.
+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
3) It’s through God, and by the name of Jesus, that the supernatural power reaches into the natural realm. The Disciples asked for His help. They asked for a Yes! It only takes a Yes from God to alter the circumstance, the difficulty, or the universe. And guess what? People are the vessels of His compassion. So, let’s just say that when God answers prayers, there is a whole lotta shaking going on. Get it?

This 30-minutes is all about:
A) How can we run away when the only place of safety and security is in the arms of the Lord?
B) When the foundations are shifty, the whole building is shifty.
C) The Lord is at the center of the universe, not people. And like it or not, He continually tests His creation. Very closely.

Do you TRUST the quality of God? Welcome to the 90-minute show of The David Spoon Experience.
This 60-minutes is all about:
1) We have so many great OT examples. Noah, Abe, Job, Mo…but few are as fantastic as Joe. Joe is a stellar example of how to handle trials. What did he have that gave him the capacity to go from trial to trial to trial, and everyone as unjust as the prior one? His key was that He didn’t see this as God’s disappointment with him, but God’s confidence in him.
+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
2) The biggest problem for Christian people is …PATIENCE. We know that God is faithful and just. But we think that His justice should come at our appointed time. So, we see the situation and think, “Lord,” NOW would be a good time for you to show up, defend me, show me as the righteous one in this situation, and so on. The problem is that it’s a sin to think we think we know the right time for God to act. How funny.
+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
3) The ultimate funny is that our enemy thinks that victory is within their grasp. What enemies? All of them. Be they spiritually wicked, the wicked, or any form of evil. The Scriptures state clearly, “If God is for us, who can be against us?” and who cares. You and God are a majority. If the Lord is with us, then we win. Period. Do we win all the time instantly? No. But we always win, no matter how long it seems or feels.
