1) Let’s get on board. There is a wisdom to the Scriptures teaching us in the books of Acts about the church’s persecution. It spread the Gospel. God’s sovereignty, sometimes, calls for persecution. How did the early church respond to this trial? They prayed. Prayer opens up partnerships with God.

2) Here is a radically cool example of “how” the early church functioned in prayer. We all know the model that Jesus laid out in the Sermon of the Mount. It serves us well. And here is another gracelet for us to use in prayer; The early church prayed using God’s Words …back to God. Lord, You said…so, therefore. It’s not manipulation but standing on His declaration.

3) It’s through God, and by the name of Jesus, that the supernatural power reaches into the natural realm. The Disciples asked for His help. They asked for a Yes! It only takes a Yes from God to alter the circumstance, the difficulty, or the universe. And guess what? People are the vessels of His compassion. So, let’s just say that when God answers prayers, there is a whole lotta shaking going on. Get it?

1) We have so many great OT examples. Noah, Abe, Job, Mo…but few are as fantastic as Joe. Joe is a stellar example of how to handle trials. What did he have that gave him the capacity to go from trial to trial to trial, and everyone as unjust as the prior one? His key was that He didn’t see this as God’s disappointment with him, but God’s confidence in him.

2) The biggest problem for Christian people is …PATIENCE. We know that God is faithful and just. But we think that His justice should come at our appointed time. So, we see the situation and think, “Lord,” NOW would be a good time for you to show up, defend me, show me as the righteous one in this situation, and so on. The problem is that it’s a sin to think we think we know the right time for God to act. How funny.

3) The ultimate funny is that our enemy thinks that victory is within their grasp. What enemies? All of them. Be they spiritually wicked, the wicked, or any form of evil. The Scriptures state clearly, “If God is for us, who can be against us?” and who cares. You and God are a majority. If the Lord is with us, then we win. Period. Do we win all the time instantly? No. But we always win, no matter how long it seems or feels.

A) To the FIRST Book of the New Testament. This Gospel was written for the Jewish people. To the Jew first, and then…
B) It’s very cool to see the Beatitudes move from the present to the future.
C) Mercy is the kissing cousin to Grace. It’s what we don’t get, that we should. Like judgment.
D) The pure in heart (The cleaned) are the REAL FEEL, REAL DEAL people.

This 60-minutes is all about:
1) Yes. I agree. I think that’s right. Oh…that sounds good too. I agree with that. Yes. I think that’s right too. When those two agreements are in opposite directions, the person saying yes is a people pleaser. They go in the directions that make most people happy. But if their decision requires any suffering, then they are out there. That’ shallow and snowflakey!
2) Remember Steve Martin? Remember the “Let’s Get Small” album? You know that if you can Walk inside of a balloon, you are …small. And the Lord would prefer that we would be small. Because when we are tall or big in our own eyes, we tend to feed our own kingdom. That’s a major no-no. Be small, stay small, or be in trouble with God.
3) Sometimes, we need to do what God says without trying to look good while we are doing it. When we function in obedience, we do so to the pleasure of our King. We do so for His eyes only. We do so because if we try to please people at the same time as trying to please God, we will fail. It’s not a maybe. It’s an …inevitable. Remember, for Him. Only.

A) This day is Ma-Nishtana. It is different from every other day.
B) We have structure and order. But we can’t have it so firm that God can’t squeeze in and make a change.
C) Do we read the Bible, the Word of God, too quickly?
D) Romans 5 makes it clear: We CAN rejoice in problems!!!

This 60-minutes is all about:
1) We are doing something new today. The reason is that this is the day that the Lord has made, and we “will” rejoice and be glad in it. Romans 5 gives us a step by step, inch by inch, a plethora of truth by which we can be strong in our faith, safe in our Lord, and joyful in our hearts.
2) One of the great lessons from Job is what his sin turned out to be. He didn’t blame God, according to Job 1. But He didn’t justify God either, according to Job 32. Romans 5 speaks plainly that our troubles are good for us. But, of course, we don’t and won’t want to hear that…if we have tickling ears.
3) What can possibly be the results of problems and troubles that can speak some form of “hope” to us while we are going through the fire? The conclusions to our problems and trials are that God testifies about our eternal future. It testifies to God’s love. And it testifies to us through the passion of Jesus Christ and the presence of the Holy Spirit. Can God be that cool? Yes, He can!

1) We launch into a different direction in our teachings today as we examine the biblical references to the James family. It turns out to be an amazing process to discover four different James’ referenced in the New Testament with tremendous testimony from their lives. These are examples to identify with and then to follow.
2) It turns out that there is ONE superstar in the kingdom of God, and His name is Jesus Christ. Not always being first, not always being right, and not always being on the stage for everyone else to see…please God more than the people who need the recognition. So, do we live it to be seen by others or to honor the king of the universe? God prefers the latter.
3) We often read about how Peter and John got the ball rolling in the book of Acts. It’s true. These two were at the forefront of the church being established. Their buddy and brother James were with them. And on regards to the Twelve, John and Peter took the lead, but being just like Jesus, James comes in first. How so? He went ALL TH WAY, just like Jesus did, before the other Apostles. So, James took the first glory.

A) We are “still” alive, who are left; means that some of us, not because we are lame, will be alive when Jesus cracks the sky.

C) This whole process, the 2nd coming of Jesus, and the systems behind it, are words of ENCOURAGEMENT!

This 60-minutes is all about:
1) Good deeds are irrefutable. Yes, people can spin the deeds to try to make them mean something else. Yes, people who are driven by their sinful nature will continually try to provide bad reports. But God knows, and so do they in their hearts, that good deeds…are good. Of course, people will use lies to deflate actions, but the actions speak louder than words.
2) According to Psalm 2, nations conspire, and people plot bad things against the Lord’s anointed. Here is an example. These people are meeting to figure out how to respond to a miracle. The enemy is using this same tactic today. He encourages people to get together to plot against believers. Not conspiracies, but denials of Divine truth and power. They cry out against God’s truth and power. Can’t God heal Covid?
3) Here is the secret sauce. Something that you and I should never forget. Even if the leaders dismiss the truth and the power of God, it is NEVER MISSED by the people. Even if the people on the TV, the internet, the radio, the magazines, and the newspapers are in full denial, the people are much smarter than they are given credit for. It’s funny. Jesus went to the people and not to the leaders. I wonder why.

B) Knowing how your brothers and sisters are doing…is specifically SCRIPTURAL.
