The David Spoon Experience Part 2 11-08-21

Welcome to the 90-minute show of The David Spoon Experience.
This 60-minutes is all about:
1) For us, we don’t swear by, but we commit to. But we should never commit to something with half a heart. In our text today, the people, trying to honor God, made a commitment to God. This principle is woven throughout scripture. If we commit something to Him, He desires us to honor that commitment.
2) There can be divinely directed loss in our lives. There can be penalties for sinful behavior. Does that mean we are not saved? No. But it does mean that we can self-sabotage our fruitful walk and through that avenue…forfeit some blessings. That’s dumb. Let’s not do that.
3) There is a time for everything, a time to dance and a time to mourn. As the Holy Spirit guides us, there are times when we need to ‘tremble” before the holiness and awesomeness of the Lord. When dealing with the Lord in something serious, our reflection and reaction should be appropriate to the situation. After all, He is GOD! Let that sink in.

A) The same faith that we have for the resurrection of Jesus needs to be applied to everyone else’s resurrection.
B) In the Kingdom of God, NOBODY is forgotten. Everyone and everything in His perfect time.
C) Guess what? Jesus Himself is coming back…And you will SEE Him!
D) A shout, a voice, a trumpet…our ears will tell us when He returns.

The David Spoon Experience Part 2 11-04-21

Welcome to the 90-minute show of The David Spoon Experience.
This 60-minutes is all about:
1) Jesus is the chief cornerstone. So, why is that important? The cornerstone is the rock by which everything lines up and everything is built according to the plans. That’s who Jesus is. The One who lines everything up and the One by whom all of our blueprints are designed.
2) But Dave, there are so many religions and so many different beliefs. Are you telling me that Jesus is the only way to Heaven? That is just too narrow. Great observation, because Jesus said, “Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate, and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it (Matthew 7:13-14).
3) Bold, uneducated, and untrained. These are hardly positive descriptions for any person unless you are a Christian. Because these images melt away based on this one reality, these are not the same men as before through the power of the Holy Spirit. These were common fishermen. They WERE. But these men had been with Jesus. And because of that, what they were meant nothing, because of who they are now through Jesus Christ. Vessels of God’s power and grace.

A) Psalm 9 and 10 are often connected, but not for our purposes today
B) Hide and seek was a fun game. It’s not so fun when we think that’s the game God is playing.
C) Wicked, both nationalistic and individualistic. They seem to get away with so much, but the truth is that they don’t get away with anything
D) God hears, answers our prayers, and then declares. Make it so.

The David Spoon Experience Part 2 11-03-21

Welcome to the 90-minute show of The David Spoon Experience.
This 60-minutes is all about:
1) One of the most amazing insights from the Gospels is how accurately they convey people’s current 21st attitudes and actions. People are shouting accusations against one another with no possibility of forgiveness anywhere. Condemning the innocent has been the enemy’s tactic for thousands of years. So don’t be too surprised at this uptick against the Christians.
2) The authentic Bible Believer has received one of the most incredible benefits that could ever be granted to a human being… Divine forgiveness. Minimizing or diluting that gift is a trick from the kingdom of darkness. Instead, he tries to manipulate us into forgetting about the power of forgiveness. He reinforces this by continually accusing you and me about past or current failures, RELENTLESSLY.
3) We receive forgiveness. Then we extend forgiveness because we have received it and can give it. When that pipeline gets clogged, when we have a hard time receiving it or giving it, the power of forgiveness is diminished. That’s not because God has less forgiveness, but because there is too much restriction on our end. So, let’s keep the pathways open!

A) It’s STILL very cool to see the Beatitudes move from the present to the future.
B) Humble (meek, gentle), Not weak! For those of us who get this, there is a rich uncle’s payday coming. But it’s not an uncle, and its value cannot be measured.
C) Hunger and thirst. Wanting MORE. That’s the ticket. More of Him!

Welcome to the 90-minute show of The David Spoon Experience.
This 60-minutes is all about:
1) The earth is the Lord’s and the fullness thereof (Psalm 24:1). So, what does that mean for you, and me, and the mother earthers? Well, first, it means that mother earthers are whack-a-doodles. Second, it means that God owns the earth, and every one body else just rents. Third, it means that God can give the use of His earth to anyone he wants to. And fourth, it means that God gave the earth as a gift to Mankind, and a temporary gift at that.
2) Now, a little one on with your brother Dave. I spend a great deal of my daily time trying to please the Lord in thought, word, and actions. But unfortunately, I spend even more time than that trying to figure out HOW to please the Lord in thought, word, and actions. The funny thing is that if I were just a Bible Believer, I would KNOW how to please the Lord. So, pass the faith, please.
3) We all understand and appreciate the wisdom of initial and continual repentance. But to what level do we process our actions towards repentance? There is a biblical ABCs to repentance. And if we remember our early school days, it is extremely important to learn our ABCs. Okay, from the beginning…

This 30-minutes is all about:
A) Starting the week off right: In Colossians 4.
B) Act Wisely towards outsiders; Not other believers, but “outsiders” from the world and the worldly.
C) Redeem the time. The time is short. For you. For me. For everyone!
D) Our speech needs to be filled with GRACE and a touch of salt. Not completely salty. Be ready to answer anyone and anywhere.

The David Spoon Experience Part 2 11-1-21

Welcome to the 90-minute show of The David Spoon Experience.
This 60-minutes is all about:
1) We CONFESS. Eat the pie and eat it quickly. Why? Because if we don’t, we will have to eat it slowly. Here’s the reality. When something happens, we want to point the blame elsewhere. Check out Adam blaming Eve and Eve blaming Satan. Check out David looking for someone to blame for his leg other than himself. Wrong-o Bongo. Denial is not just a river in Egypt.
2) There is hope for Israel. There is hope for the church. There is hope for me. There is hope for you. God is the God of hope. Let’s bring it before God and make an offering of a humble heart. He will receive us, He will restore us, he will heal us, and He will love us. He never gives up …on us. Love always protects and always trusts (1 Cor. 13).
3) We will follow the advice. This means that we can’t be so full of pride that we cannot hear. God places biblical guiders, various people in our lives, at different times and in different venues, to teach us, guide us, warn us, encourage us, direct us, challenge us to obey EVERYTHING God has commanded us. Just because Jesus summarized the Law doesn’t mean that we can attempt to sidestep ANYTHING that He taught us through His life and His word.

A) Many things can make us temporarily happy and joyful, but only a few things produce lasting joy.
B) The wicked will get caught in their own trap, be it spiritual or otherwise.
C) Forgetting God is dumb. Especially for a nation that knew God.
D) We will not be forgotten, but we need to hold on to that expectation.

1) We travel back to the future, where we discover that the past cannot be altered. We have thought, said, and done several things that we would prefer to be able to “take back,” but alas, it isn’t so. Whether it’s the church, business, or relationships, we must be careful not to give the past grief a present foothold.

2) There is one who does not favor us. We are his heartburn. He often tries to use what was as a tool to disrupt what is or what can be. When we go backward, in our hearts, we open the door for discontentedness. When we go backward, we are not going forwards, and when we go backward, to prior pain, we make the hurt fresh again.

3) Here is the key. God is not boring. God is not dull. The Christian life is a journey, an adventure, a quest, and an intended destination. If our journey is dull, it’s because we are shutting down the “new” that God wants to do. Being in Christ is exciting. Especially when what’s around the corner is not scary but fun because of what He has planned for us.
