This 60-minutes is all about:
1) The Lord is so gracious to you and me. So often, we are blessed with the fortunes of spoils from our enemies. That’s true from the spiritual point of view. And it’s true from the possessions point of view. So when the Lord blesses us with the spoils of warfare or from situations in life, share the blessings. Perhaps, that is why He blessed you.
2) Christian truths are life-giving to the authentic Bible believer who embraces them. We have a multitude of promises from God, past, present, and future. What He asks of us is that we be CAREFUL to obey His commands. That means to be CAREFUL with everything we have, inside and out.
3) You say tomato, and I say tomaato. You say potato, and I say potaato. Let’s call the whole thing off. So goes the song. And so goes too many Christians. The Bible shows us that we are all too quick to go to war with one another. Here is a genius thought; that’s the wrong enemy! Let’s focus on the antiChrist, not the difference in Christ.

This 60-minutes is all about:
1) He has brightened our eyes. Let’s sit with this thought for a while. A long while. God has given “brightened eyes” to His children. That means that for the future, we can truly see it with God in it. Too often, we see with a dark vision. Clouds and storms obscure our view. God gives us a ladder to see Heaven’s view. It is bright, sunny, and clear.
2) In His unfailing love, God has not abandoned us. How do we know that God has not abandoned us? Did you wake up today? Are you up from this morning? Because God’s mercies and compassion are new every morning. And if the Lord chooses to call you home sooner, then His faithfulness will surround you. We know because He tells us so.
3) God caused the gentile Kings to be favorable to the children of Israel. Christians tend to forget about Daniel. He served a powerful and mostly wicked king, even though Nebby had some very good moments. Amid a foreign power crushing the nation of Israel, God exalted various faithful followers and granted them incredible power. Remember, He’s still God.

A) Rocking and rolling (feet on the Rock, name on the role) in Hebrews.
B) Perfect through suffering. I think that positive confession people should be positive that suffering is a part of connecting with Jesus.
C) One Father; unless illegitimate children (Hebrews 12:8…If you are not disciplined—and everyone undergoes discipline—then you are not legitimate, not true sons and daughters at all.)
D) Our Father (from the Lord’s Prayer) means we are brothers // sisters.

The David Spoon Experience Part 2 8-27-21

Welcome to the 90-minute show of The David Spoon Experience.
This 60-minutes is all about:
1) Do this, and don’t do that. There is a popular diet out that uses this theme. It’s “Eat this, don’t eat that.” It’s simple sage advice on what is better for you to eat. The Bible also gives us advice on what should be a yes and what should be a no. The difference in these decisions is that one brings continual frustration, and the other brings peace that passes understanding.
2) Political jab time. Yes, it is true. I hardly do political analysis unless there is a direct conflict with scriptures. Like the media telling people to live in FEAR. That’s demonic. But today, I’m just going to read a proverb and see which characters they line up with. Try to relax. It’s more for fun than for stun.
3) And finally, it’s time, once again, to return to the wisdom of an old friend. We examine a devotion from our brother, Pastor Ray, on Fridays with Ray. He dives into the lessons from the wilderness. Fear and Faith are at continual war with us, but there is a “Yes, we can” through the Victorious One. Praise the Lord!

A) Read and Ramble in Colossians.
B) Wives, submit to your husbands (with common sense) as is fitting.
C) Not Husbands, tell your wives to submit.
D) Be nice to her, or God will get mad. How nice is He to the church?
E) Obey both mom and dad. Make God happy.

Welcome to the 90-minute show of The David Spoon Experience.
This 60-minutes is all about:
1) Last week, we touched lightly on the principle of risk. Bible-believing Christians need to be aware that frequently, our faith will be tested by our willingness to risk. For each one of us, God has called us to be a people of faith. That means…at certain times, and at the command of Jesus, we put our leg over the edge of the boat.
2) People see our faith. And people see our lack of faith. So by what we do, AND by what we say, we are witnesses for the kingdom of God. We either witness for it or against it. Either one, depending on us. But somebody, somewhere, is watching. They are always watching. Even the angels are watching.
3) The people knew that there was a miracle that took place. Even the people that didn't want to acknowledge that it happened KNEW that it happened. People compartmentalize the miracles of God. It's either fake, a coincidence, a freak happening, or the hand of God. And every person will have to give an account of how they processed the miracles of God.

A) To the Psalms, to the Psalms, to the Psalms!
B) Lay it down…the wisest and most powerful thing to do (I.E., Abraham).
C) Rise up for me: Oh God, please come to the rescue.
D) Tests: The real you and me; thoughts and feelings alike.

This 60-minutes is all about:
1) So many times, the Holy Spirit, through the Scriptures, through our conscience, through His fellowship with us, calls out our missing of God's marks. And from time to time, we see the worst people in the universe get away with so much. It's enough to make our blood boil. But we need to be wiser than fools.
2) I can share with you the truth of my own pride. I say to God, without using words, "I am more righteous than these losers, I am more honorable than these scum buckets, I am more earnest in my pursuit than those who sit on their blessed assurance. And then the Lord reminds me that I am only more righteous through Jesus. Apart from Him, there is no good thing in me.
3) So, I long for the answer key to sustaining when I want to quit. I am not alone. The scriptures are filled with great men and women who have the same thoughts. And the answer for them is the same answer for me. And If I don't understand the value of an authentic fellowship, I'm never going to get it. We examine God's two-fold practical solution to the inward scream.

C) Simon (Peter, a mainstay in the Gospels and beyond), and Andrew. Not forgotten, but less press for this brother.
D) Fishermen, to fishing for men. The Lord knows how best to use our talents.

This 60-minutes is all about:
1) How about this for a total brain freeze? Could GOD BE "SO" in charge that He directs the bad side to certain actions to accomplish His plans at various times and in various ways? The scriptures make it absurdly clear that God is always fulfilling His prophecies, so let's not be too freaked out that He is ACTUALLY…in charge.
2) "Saved" is such a nice term. Saved the day. Saved a buck. Saved on a two-for-one pizza. We love saving. But the best Saver or all is the one with the title Savior. He not only saves the day, but He also saves our eternity. And why does He do that? Good question.
3) And finally, it's time to return to the wisdom of an old friend. We examine a devotion from our brother, Pastor Ray. He dives into the lessons from the cave. Guess who he's going to be talking about? But Pastor Ray brings to the forefront the true purpose of the cave experiences in our own lives.
