It's Fantastic, fabulous, and Phenomenal Friday, when we do our Expository Thursday teaching. Yeah! On the docket today: How much trouble can we get in...by what we say? Jesus uses a litmus test for us to evaluate where are hearts are really at. And unfortunately, it's all defined by our words. And here's something to write home about; Our bad, wrong, hurtful, helpless, negative, fearful, stupid words "grieve" the Holy Spirit who lives inside us. So, by our words, we grieve the power and the presence of God, in the temple of God, because the Holy Spirit hears, feels, and knows everything...we say. So, maybe we should say...good things? You think?

It's Terrific Tuesday, and we venture into the examination of whether our lives our like Burger King; Do we get it "our way?" No. We do not. And what happens when we stop seeing with faith? It's simple. "WE" take over, and that's just a disaster waiting to manifest. Finally, have you tried to line up all your ducks, just to have God blow them to bits with His Life Shotgun? We dive into the folly of acting like or claiming that ...we are in control.

But on TDSE, we soldier on to Draw Closer (to the Lord), Never be ashamed, Always be ready! That's our DNA. We launch into the best 2 characteristics of a child, followed by the coolest truth: Smarty pants people don't impress God. The more ordinary we are, the more God uses us. Because ...it's about Him. Finally, we catch the truth that Scriptures ONLY come alive by God's grace and ONLY when He permits.

It's Therapeutic Thursday, as Dave talks about the exchange between Abraham's servant and Rebecca's family. 2 major points emerge: 1) Sometimes, we need to wait on something to make a decision, and 2) Sometimes...it doesn't matter if the circumstance is bad or good. Finally, Dave challenges us be aware...of how God is aware...when we pray.

Wonderful Wednesday as Dave shares some good news about his grandson, Easton Scott. Next, D talks about being an encouragement through troubles. Then a quick review of how heaven is God's home, and we go in His door, which is Jesus. And who is Mephibosheth? Everybody ought to know. And the theology of witnessing: Sometimes, we can just tell people how cool Jesus is, and less scholarly.

It's Terrific Tuesday, as we swing into the examination of the folly of following "self" and building monuments to ourselves. The the Spoonman takes a Hebrew Word Study...on being DUMB. For Real! And it's such a blessing. It's just not how the world see it...because they're too dumb. Finally, DS highlights miracles. They aren't ours, from us, or because we are so fantastic. But they are there to show God's love and bless us in the experience of being AMAZED.

Marvelous Monday comes to remind us, through His Word, that we should not forget the gift that God has out in us. And we are saved and called...but to what purpose? Is it for us to be happy? No! It's for God's purposes that we are saved and called. And finally, we often don't think of Death. It scares many of us. But we should think about it. Why? Because Jesus kicked it's teeth in. And when we get that death is not the end, we start to live.

Awesome Sauce! It's Expository Thursday, on Friday. And Dave throws in a surprise, right in the middle of the teaching. 1st up, is understanding that we we did in the past, has got to be in the past. Now, we are called to be helpful. Next Dave drops the Maxwell as he talks about our mouth, our speech, and our language. It's all about "building up" and not tearing down. Then, midstream, defines what the NUMBER ONE principle is...regarding what comes out of our mouths! Oy Vey!

Dave jumps right in with a quick discussion about SEE-ing with the Holy Spirit. And the challenge of getting the God glasses on...by seeing the in as well as the out. Seeing the out, or being out, doesn't mean much. Johnnie joins Dave in the studio live (not dead) as the two of them talk Kingdom stuff. And finally, the Spoonman warns us against the bitter pill of the "bitter" person.
