It's Expository Thursday, on Friday.Yeah! Dave tackles the core of the letter to the church at Ephesus. Ephesians 4:13-15 are at the heart of the purpose of the letter (epistle). In verse 13, we find that the offices mentioned in verses 11-12 are to remain..."until" there is unity of the faith. So, how can we have unity but at the same time need to find unity? The unity defined prior is our position, the unity called for in these verse is the practical. We have it, but we need to use it. Just like our positional and practical with the old and new man. And the practical of our unity is found in our oneness regarding Jesus; Who He is and what He's done. And our knowledge of Him; What He's accomplished for us. (:

Johnnie Hill and His son Angel jump into The Experience, and they have a discussion about legalistic people. Legalistic people are a drag. Don't be a drag. And some people who need healing...don't really want healing, because they enjoy the sympathy. And does being a good Christian mean being a quiet Christian? Well, not according to the first true Christian, Jesus Christ.

On this day, great things happened...because God is working. 1st up is the challenge as to whether we treat Jesus like Herod did. Are we thinking that Jesus does birthday parties magic tricks? He doesn't. Next up is the review of the "depth" of the forgiveness we receive from Jesus. His blood cries differently than the blood of Abel. And when we make decisions, do we seek God's counsel, or go with the assumption of the moment? The old adage is true: When we assume ...we make an....(I think you get it).

Dave talks about the secret to life: Don't we listen to Elvis? There is NO Secret to what God will do! But here's a key; Through Jesus, there is a Yes. Without Jesus there is a NO. The Dave asks; So why does God pull us throw every hard trial and difficult path the way He does? Because He does "every thing" WITH us! It's all about our eternal partnership with God. And here is the answer to everything in Life...(The answer ...is on the podcast; you silly person).

Dave attacks the Mondays with some intense examination of Abraham and Joseph, as Scriptures ties them to the Gospel. Then he talks us on a journey of Abraham's promise, coupled with his requirement for patience regarding the promise. It's a horrible situation for Joseph, which was "set up" by God. The Lord shows us that in the midst of the worst, HE is still "with us."

It's Friday...and it's the return of Bible Baloney Beat-down...as Dave challenges the some current (and false) concepts of our great spiritual enemy, Satan. The into the realm of sin the SpoonMeister goes. First up; Do we sin 300,000 or 500,000 times in a lifetime? Next Dave talks about our need to OWN IT like it teaches in 1 John 1:9. He puts to rest the idiocy of thinking 1 John was written to Gnostic's with 2 proofs: 1) NO letter to unbelievers 2) 8 personal addresses to brothers, sisters, or family and 4 context teachings that are only for believers. He closes out the show by showing that confession is good for the non believer, and the believer alike. Jesus has freed us from SIN!

Fighting through the flu...It's Expository Thursday! And Dave reviews the 5-Fold Ministry principle in Ephesians 4:11-12. Do Apostles, Prophets, Evangelists, Pastors and Teachers still function today? Dave answers that by asking which days end in Y. But, are the apostles the same as The Apostles? Plus the key to understanding it all: Distinctions...just like all the gifts require distinctions. A prophet has 2 MAJOR components, and and Evangelist has 3! Who knew? The KEY is what are these positions for? To EQUIP the body of Christ for the TRUE ministers of the the Gospel, the people of God.

Dave introduces Stephanie Vasquez, our newest ministry partner with He Must Increase Ministry. Also, Dave pokes at the phony bear of prophetic predictions from news and media outlets. If they are not 100%, then they are NOT from God, so don't pay too much attention to those false prophets. And with a new twist, TDSE, and Johnny Hill, review what "Preventative Prayer" is...according to the word of God. Did you know that Jesus tells us MULTIPLE TIMES to pray this way? Yes...He did!

Then the Spoonmeister borrows from Pastor Ray Bentley in defining and describing why we are alive. And then TDSE brings up an oldy but a goody: Do we let anyone STOP us from pursuing Jesus? Dave closes the show out with a political challenge: Are you Right, left, or Top Center? It's best to be... where God is...

On Today's Show:
It's 2020, and it's time to see everything "with God" in the picture. That is a godly 2020 vision. And without question, God is not old, dull or boring. In fact, He is consistently doing "NEW Things" (Revelation 21:5).
God will be doing new stuff in your life ...and in mine. And because God is good, what He does ...is good. Therefore, there is new "good" coming to our path.
But don't be deceived: That does not mean that there will be no obstacles.
What it does require is that we think of ourselves better than grasshoppers (Numbers 13:33). We are CHILDREN OF THE MOST HIGH GOD! (1John 3:1-2)
Think that way...live that way.

It's Expository Thursday...on Friday. No that's more like it. Dave dives into what "Charis" means to the Christian in the context of Ephesians 4:7. Did you know that you are the recipient of a Designer gift? And what do you thin that gift is for? A trophy of a toy? Absolutely not. It's for a tool of blessing for others and to honor Jesus. Plus what is Newman-ism and should every believer walk it? Because it's commanded by the Lord, albeit...indirectly. What? me worry? No, I will not worry!
