There is a key to using and finding this uniqueness: (1) We need to realize that God put this in us through His grace and (2) we need to have a daily separated and devoted mindset for Him...plus we need to have a passion for our connection with Him so that we can know what he wants us to "specifically" do. Johnny Hill and his son Angel join Dave live in the studio. Dave starts the show by talking about his devotionals in Acts 3:9-13. Why are we so"surprised" the God of miracles does miracles in our lives? In the next segment, perhaps the most simplistic teaching on why God allows the "yuck' in a believer's life. It's so simple, it works! Then the show goes political, but only for one segment. Any Bible Believer who doesn't think God has anything to do with elections, should try reading the Bible. Daniel 4 makes it clear that God is involved in the governmental affairs of this world. And finally, the caution to be aware of lies about God from sources of self, sin, and Satan (the father of lies). Only knowing the God's truth (The Bible) helps defeat the lies.

Dave plunges right back in to teaching, with EXPOSITORY TEACHING THURSDAY...and into Ephesians 4:4-6. He demonstrates the 7 (the seven...count em, there's 7) unifying factors that ALL READY IN PLACE: One body, One Spirit, One hope, One Lord, One faith, One Baptism, and One Father. The SpoonMeister stresses our need to see each other in this unity in order to bring honor to the command from Jesus regarding John 13:35 (our witness from our love for one another).

Pastor David Spoon's Testimony: David Spoon was born and raised in a Jewish home in Detroit, Michigan. He attended a private Hebrew school called Hillel Hebrew Academy. David was bar mitzvah-ed at the age of thirteen. Not long after, he was involved in drug abuse and trafficking. After hearing the Gospel for the first time at age seventeen, David accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior. A few months later, David had a dramatic experience with God. Immediately set free from years of extreme drug use, he committed himself to ministry and to furthering the Kingdom of God.

He also makes the argument that Mary is one of the most misclassified figures in the New Testament.She was not any form of Deity (by her own words), the very FIRST to accept Jesus, honored to be chosen, a normal human, had tremendous faith, cared about other people's troubles, and was committed to furthering God's kingdom. He also makes the argument that Joseph is one of the most underrated figures in the New Testament. He was obedient, not a jerk, a Step Up Step parent, He believed the best, kept God as his priority, and protected his family. He was so trustworthy, that God committed Jesus into his hands. It's Friday...but Sunday's coming! PTL...Dave gives an update on Easton Scott, his grandson. Then the Spoonmeister goes for the jugular. Can a Christian be REAL about their faith and God's truth, even if it looks bad? Abraham did that very thing when he faced the FACT that he could have no kid, but believed God would give him a child anyway (Romans 4:18-21). Then Dave directs us to confront...head on...our despair versus our hope. We all go though this, and God knows about it, so lets be REAL about it. Guess what? Hope wins...because of God!

Holy Smokes Batman...It's Expository Thursday. We're checking out Ephesians 4:1-3. 1st up is the understanding that Paul considers himself a "captive" IN the Lord, not just for the Lord. Next Dave directs us to consider how much weight is in our walk. Here is the one place that too skinny is absolutely horrible. The TDSE flows to the 4 characteristics that get passed by too often: Humility, gentleness, patience, and bearing with each other. Dave breaks each one down. And finally, Dave closes with the command to KEEP the unity. So...we must have it ...if we are required to keep it.

Fantastic Friday...as Dave talks about being proud as a father, but rough as a granddad...Then he "launches" into a word that speaks encouragement. How does it do that in Hebrews 12? It confirms that we struggle with sin. And how is that encouraging? Because God knows...and chose us anyway. Then The Experience explains how God's definition of love and the world's definition of love...ARE NOT THE SAME. And as he winds through our requirements to be "accepting" people, Dave takes the time to demonstrate that acceptance does not mean approval of other people's sins.
