The David Spoon Experience 11-7-19

Expository Thursday...on a Thursday. It's almost a miracle. Dave dives the deepest, so far, into the Ephesians ocean. First, Since the Scriptures show us our collective separation because of all or our sins, we need some help. Enter Jesus, the Divine response to our problems. Next, if there is a Second Adam, as the Bible teaches, does that mean there is an innovative assembly of human beings? Wow...just think of those ramifications. Third, is whether we are far or near, without access to God, we are ALL LOST. And a final thought to remember: God has not, "nor" will He ever, forget Israel.

It's throw a change up Wednesday. Dave rips apart how he encounters a DDD; a Devotional Diamond of the Day. He examines the Gospel of John, chapter 12 and 13. Instead of a verse by verse expository, Dave examines how it "strikes" him how it applies, and is careful to observe the context, but NOT MISS the DAP (The Dynamic Application Principle). He covers the difference between enticement and entrance, and specifically how does it work, when stuff that we wont "get" until down the road, is set up by the Lord.

Following S.M.U. basketball (on KAAM), Dave talks over the help, the captain's chair to help bring us all a little bit closer. He examines whether Mankind has the right to claim "unfair, unfair" and specifically Christians. You can guess, it doesn't end well for those on the side of PEOPLE. Also, the glory of Manna id challenged...by our flesh. Why is that wrong? Because it's our positionally crucified, practically getting worse FLESH is involved. And finally, treating God the Holy Spirit with "disrespect" could be hazardous to our health.

Having a blast with Johnny Hill, from Men of God Moving. Dave and Johnny cover some deep topics, like Cliche Day, and the first Israel TV commercial. The it's into the spiritual truths that help us draw closer to Jesus. Dave covers the idea that judgment is right, "IF" it starts with ourselves first. What Jesus taught against was HYPOCRITICAL judgment, not judgment at large. Then the discussion on persecution was tackled. It awesome if it's for Christ, but ridiculous to think one is blessed for being annoying. Bringing the show to it's peak, the idea of the enemy being equal to God is dismissed. The Devil CANNOT steal from you that which you have "surrendered" to God.

It's Fabulous Friday! Praise the Lord. Dave explains why he uses other people's material. If it helps advance the kingdom, use it. Jesus is the ONLY citation needed. Then Dave shares about Pastor Ray, and the blessing of his devotionals on "testing" in all the areas of life. And how cool is this verse in 1 Corinthians? It's all about synergy. What's that? 1 alone can lift 50 pounds, but two together can lift 135 pounds...And the weekend closer: Our offerings for sin are too polluted, so God provided the offering that would work...FOR US!

It's Halloween 2019, and Dave starts off with a "real" history lesson about it, not a hysterical theory. And it's Expository Thursday on Thursday. That's right, it's Expository Thursday on Thursday…Yah! Today, we examine the collective separation of the Jews and the Gentiles from God, with a Gentile focus. And then we review the 5 Bummers of that separation from God (Boo! Get it?). Finally, Dave talks about the spilling of blood (Get it?) and how that is not only a good thing, but it's also at the core of the "Divine" plan.

Happy Spiritual Birthday to Dave, Happy Spiritual Birthday to Dave! 41 years ago, he said "Yes Lord" and the church has been crying ever since. TDSE looks at us looking at God and our circumstances, and then coming to the conclusion that God hates us. Stupid is as stupid thinks. And exactly, according to God and His Holy Word, what is a successful ministry? Then the tough stuff. Many start out bold. But too many fade tot he white. And finally, can we say.."God won't ever fail us ?" Yes! Because He said so in Deuteronomy 4:31.

The David Spoon Experience reviews 3 good nails (three good nails is from Ecclesiastes 12:11), that we should hang our shirts from:
Number 1: There are many things that we need to remember and know regarding our faith: But this one is right at the top! Your Divine selection was not an accident or a mistake, but part of a perfectly created plan to bring about the purposes of God.
Number 2: Have you ever heard; There are there too many hypocrites in the church? Have you ever responded; What’s one more? The danger of hypocrisy in the church is a serious issue to God. It's more important to be real and have to deal with sin, than to deny the sin exists.
Number 3: The only way to be raised up by God, is to be wise by bowing down before Him. Scriptures are filled with an amazing amount of people, humbling themselves before God, and thereby incurring situational favor.

Back to the Show! It;s Marvelous Monday, where our attitudes help determine our blues. Sometimes, Christian radio talk show hosts go where no one else will go: Today we discuss, the in-discuss-able: Long public prayers. Next int eh line up is a cool thought; The Lord uses us in the most amazing ways. It’s awesome, but we need to remember that it’s not a reason to get big headed. Dave shows us why. And finally, we can see the end getting closer and closer. Every time we hear the news, it's bad news. Some Christians are too confused by the events. So; what are 2 huge keys to keep looking for and to keep our hope strong? Dave shares those with us.

It's Fantastic Friday, and another hour with The Experience. Today, Dave focuses on the Kingdom of God. This is a central theme throughout the Old and New Testament, but JESUS really takes the Kingdom to a whole new level. The kingdom of God is where God...is King. And in our modeled prayer by Jesus, we should be praying for His Kingdom to advance daily. The key maybe in understanding how we "access" the Kingdom of God initially, and continually. By Repenting. No, it's not with a sandwich board. Yes, it is a "change of mind" that we turn to. The results our incredible, and ongoing. Refreshing comes from the presence of the Lord, which we access through repenting.

Who is having more fun than the listeners of TDSE? No one. Johnny Hill, Founder of Men of God Moving, joins Dave for the whole hour, in studio. First up is the call for us to be a sanctuary, both corporately and individually. The Dave pivots the conversation to make sure that we don't just listen to what people say about Jesus, but that we read what Jesus had to say for ourselves. Is the Bible reliable? That's answered when Dave points out that God created the universe, so He can CERTAINLY write a book. Then Johnny talks about mercy, and how it applies to us believers "after" as much as before we became believers. And for the close, our trivia winner "nails" it for a $25.00 win.

Expository Thursday…on a Wednesday. We reviewed our Old Condition, and God’s response to our Old condition: Now we look at His “formula” for our Old Condition. The classic passage of Ephesians 2:8-10 is reviewed. Plus, there is a critical “underlying” truth to grasping WHY salvation cannot be earned. It’s the glue. And we will examine it. It has to do with all of us "not" being too smooth and it comes fRom 1Corinthians 1:29. And finally, God is an artist. Take a look at the sunrises, sunsets, the planets, the stars, His creation, nature...And YOU!!! Did you know that you are …God’s Mona Lisa?
