The David Spoon Experience 6-13-19

Lets play trivia for money! Sam wins the trivia contest for the day. David talks about the Kingdom of God, as taught by Jesus in Mark 4. The farmer plants the seed, but has NOTHING to do with the growth. It's the earth that makes it grow, without the farmer's help. Check out 1 Corinthians 3:5-10 to see Paul verify that ONLY GOD gives the growth of the seed.
Then Dave introduces John from, The Blessed Roofing Company, and Pamela, from The Blessed Realty Company. The three have too much fun as they talk about their lives, their professions, and the future.

Dave starts the experience by talking about Division, and not the good kind. Mark 3 is where Jesus identifies division of kingdoms, homes, and beings. The answer to the problem? Unity! Jamie Blumenthal joins Dave in studio to talk about himself, safe money, and preparations for retirement. To close, Dave challenges us to accept and praise the Lord for trials of all kinds, according to James 1:6-8.

Dave talks about a slight bump on the road home yesterday. He then teaches in expository fashion from Matthew 21. What is the core of prayer? Dependence on God. What is the two-fold key? To have faith AND to not doubt. Dave reviews how our obedience is often delayed, but still true. He then takes on the death penalty, socialism, and capitalism ...from the point of view of Jesus Christ, based on Jesus' own words.

The David Spoon Experience 6-10-19

Dave talks about facing the choice of presenting an easy show or a more difficult show: He goes for the challenge. Expository teaching on Matthew 21, dealing with the Net testament giving us insight into to the Old Testament. We use the New to understand the Old. Because Emmanuel finds it's fulfillment in Jesus Christ.
Dave also shows that Jesus was no pacifist, but not pro-violence either. He washes the dirt out of the Temple, and replaces it with a Healing Home for people. Finally, he points out that the legalistic could not even see the miracles of Jesus. Dave points out that it's not that different today.
