Wham Ba-am! On Today's show, Dave compares the Lord Jesus Christ with not the lord, Muhammad. Derrick Casey joins the show from Patriot Mobile. Is there a way to have great phone service AND support good causes? He also asks a serious question about whether we can question God. It's not that we can't ask, but it's more with the spirit that we ask Him. And it also involves not complaining about His answers, whether we like it, or not.

David asks us to examine if we are praying "the way" that Jesus told us to pray? Did Jesus give us a road-map to prayer? Then The Experience submerges into one of the most taught on passages in the Bible, but comes up with something different. This is the synopsis of the Meanie, the Weenie, and Mr. Cool Dude. Johnnie Hill joins David in studio to talk about "What the Holy Spirit is doing" with a guy that came back from the brink of death. Challenging us regarding temptation and spiritual warfare.

On today's Experience, Dave talks about how we might all be a little bit like the characters in "City Slickers" because we are a;ways searching. He also challenges himself, and others, to be more aware of our eyes not being open and how to resolve that.
And finally, the Grand Experiment: Dave talks to Andrew Seidel, from the Freedom from Religion Foundation to see if a normal conversation is possible with atheists. Not as much as Dave hoped for.

Wham Ba-am! On Today's show, Dave proves the truth that our God doesn't go "OOPS". Dave talks about going to the doctor. He is fat and has big ears. He also wants to let the Spirit lead, and talks about praying for one another, after receiving a prayer request fro a caller (Sampson) for hid family. It all flows over from Romans 15:30. And in tribute to James Ryle, David takes the time to talk about living for the Author and not the audience, living for the praise from God, and not men (John 12:42-43).

The David Spoon Experience 5-31-19

The Experience opens with a "classic Dave" rant about Laura Ingraham and her terrible interview regarding a brother-in-law in conflict with a politician's besty. The D does a direct comparison with us and Moses. Are we closer to the leader of Israel than we thought? He then examines the blind dudes in Matthew as they “follow” (How did they do that?) the Lord and cry out for help. And he wraps the show with asking prayer for his own wisdom and he then offers prayer for all the listeners to be protected and blessed.

After the Texas Tornado Travesty review, Dave talks about how God does NOT offer a "One Time Special" only. He also deals with the Whats Happening Psalm. As in..."What's happening to me right now?"
Then it's off to the crew. What started to separate the 12 Disciple... and what did Jesus do to re-unite them? Dave firmly points out that being a friend of the world will get us in trouble with God (James 4:4).

Dave talks about missing the mark. Dave talks about falling short. Dave talks about SIN! He then connects the difference between the blood of Abel and the blood of Jesus, and what they both say. Is sin alive? Maybe more so than we would want to think. And how are we doing with our our giants (besetting sins) in our lives? Jesus helps us to be giant killers.

Well, it only takes a moment for a miracle. And Dave also explores the 2 primary kinds of Christians, as described in the Scriptures. Which one are you?

The David Spoon Experience 5-24-19

David finishes off the Psalm 51:1 passage, by focusing in on the second half of the verse, which is about the Great Compassion of the Lord. He does extra trivia...and everyone gets it right! Then Dave dishes out the truth on the Christian great pretenders, especially Ananias and Sapphira. He examines what Jesus said about hypocrites and pretenders. He closes the teaching by encouraging us to understand that God didn't make mistakes given each one of us our distinctiveness, but that those uniqueness's are being merged with Jesus's image, glory by glory. He didn't make a mistake making you!

David shares about faith and science and how the Bible spoke about the Earth being round 2045 years before science came around to it. Bible Christians were NEVER flat earth-ers (Isaiah 40:22). He then shows the value of following worthless idols. None. In fact, the Scriptures show that if we follow worthless idols, we will become worthless.
David talks with Pastor Andrew Farley, from the "Church without Religion" regarding his new book. And he closes the show with a brief review of Psalm 51, the "I need forgiveness" Psalm.

Dave tackles the approach we take in our situation, especially if its not in line with God wants it to be. Also, he examines where you (and he) may fit in in the political engagement for those with faith. Is it the same for each person or are different people called to different levels of participation? And Spencer Brown, conservative college advocate, joins The Experience…LIVE! Plus...DON"T STOP being a builder for His Kingdom, even if the people around you are discouraging.

Dave lightens up the mood with a little trivia, and recognition of National Memo Day. He then talks about our need to understand the value of the Old Testament for the New Testament Christian. After all, what Bible did Jesus use? He spends time reviewing how Saul didn't have patience with God, disobeyed Samuel, freaked out, and tried to take control. His attempt to control the situation is presented a sinful. Just like it is for us.
