1) As we approach the concluding sections of the Book of Acts, we find ourselves in Chapter 25, Verse 23. Here, Festus has orchestrated a grand ceremony for King Agrippa and Bernice. He has made it clear that he intends to send Paul to Caesar, despite having nothing substantial to write about him. In Festus's opinion, Paul has done nothing deserving of death, but he must send some information along with the prisoner. Otherwise, Festus could become less festive.2) In Chapter 26, Verse 1, Agrippa tells Paul that he may speak. Over the past 45 years, I've interacted with numerous Christians who are deeply concerned that they won't know what to say when given the opportunity. However, this is where the Holy Spirit takes control. Believers don't need to worry about how or what they say when they are placed in a divine appointment to speak on behalf of the Lord. In fact, Luke Chapter 12, Verse 12 teaches us that the Holy Spirit will guide us in what to say.3) I find it both iconic and ironic that Paul begins his defense with a gesture of his hand. While I'm uncertain about the specific gesture, being Jewish, it could be one of the 10,000 gestures we use. Paul opens his defense by letting Agrippa know that he appreciates the opportunity to speak, especially since Agrippa is an expert in Jewish customs. Even Paul, who knows exactly what to say and when to say it, asks Agrippa for patience. This is a good hint for all Christians.4) Paul takes the story back to his early childhood and tells Agrippa about his training and membership in the Pharisees, the strictest sect of the Jewish faith. He states that he is on trial simply for looking forward to the fulfillment of God's promises made to our ancestors. With the wisdom of the Holy Spirit, Paul asserts that his trial is because he believes that God will fulfill His promises. Here's a challenge: Do you believe God will fulfill His promises to His church and to you? You might have to take a stand for that belief. But fear not, because the Lord will always stand with you, forevermore.

A) The most profound issue with these scriptural passages is that these individuals are described as blemishes or hidden reefs in your love feasts. This means they are present in the church, and we are not even aware. They shepherd only themselves. They are unstable, like clouds without water, carried about by the wind. They are fruitless trees that grow and produce nothing, and they are twice dead, both emotionally and spiritually.B) These individuals are likened to wild waves of the sea, continuously pounding their iniquity, foaming up shame upon shame. They are compared to wandering stars, for whom God has reserved eternal darkness. Anyone who doesn’t believe that hell is a place of everlasting fire and darkness does not fully understand the situation.

1) I often say this, but this message is a classic one that I thoroughly enjoyed both assembling and teaching. You may not realize this, but sometimes the process of crafting a message or a teaching can be more valuable for the teacher than the act of sharing it. This is primarily due to the deeper insights gained from the Lord that aid us in drawing closer to Him. This message is a prime example of such a process in my life.2) We examine a message titled "Saving Our Brains." While the title may not be flashy, the content is essential. The first step is to distinguish between setting our hearts on things and seeking things. We explore what it means in Scripture to "seek first the Kingdom of God." What does seeking entail? How do we interpret that? How do we actively seek the Kingdom? What actions demonstrate that we are seeking the kingdom?3) We discover that there's a crucial element that occurs between our left and right ears. As always, we're commanded to love the Lord our God with all our heart, soul, strength, and mind. However, we often focus solely on the heart, neglecting the other three. We will scrutinize one of the other three aspects with which we're supposed to love the Lord our God, as without it, our love is incomplete.4) We will uncover a key principle within our Christian faith that sets us apart from the rest of the world. Naturally, this principle is rooted in the redemptive work of Jesus Christ and the application of that redemption. But the critical question is, what happens after we're set apart? How do we progress? We know we're supposed to fellowship with the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. But what kind of engagement can we participate in that will help make all of this a reality here and now? That's what we'll investigate.

A) We continue with Psalm 51, verse 7, the second half of the verse where David proclaims, “Wash me, and I shall be whiter than snow.” This is the crux. Whenever we believe we can purify ourselves, we operate in sheer folly. Only God can cleanse us thoroughly. Only the blood of Jesus can make us whole. Only the empowerment of the Holy Spirit can guide us to live in a way that honors the Lord daily. We require the Lord’s cleansing, His grace, mercy, and kindness to be truly clean.B) David then expresses something challenging for many of us to comprehend. He says, “Make me hear joy and gladness; that the bones which thou hast broken may rejoice.” What does this mean? It signifies that David acknowledged the crushing power of God in his life as a source of joy and gladness. The very bones that God metaphorically breaks within us are the ones we should be grateful for because they help us become more like Jesus. This concept is the central theme of my book, “Broken for His Glory.” You can find more information about the book on the website.C) David implores the Lord to hide His face from his sins and blot out all his iniquities. There are times when we strive to improve and seek the Lord’s assistance. However, there are moments when we need to simply say, “God, please forgive me. I have failed You. I need Your help and restoration to move forward.”

1) We delve back into the Book of Romans at Chapter 4, Verse 13. Over the next several chapters, there will be moments of sorrow and joy, but ultimately, joy will prevail. From a theological perspective, it's impossible to overlook what the Apostle is writing. He asserts that God's promises to Abraham are not contingent on obedience to the law. It's as clear as it can be: it's not about obedience. So, what is it about?2) Verse 13 clarifies that the reception of God's promises hinges on our faith-based relationship with God. Firstly, understanding this relationship is crucial. Secondly, faith is a key element in this relationship. If you contest the Apostle's theological approach, you're essentially rendering faith useless. You're devaluing the medium that God has chosen. If you belittle faith, you belittle God's promises.3) Cordelia and Joyanne serenade the audience with a song that contains all of the Old Testament books. Wowzers.

A) Once again, the David Spoon experience takes an unexpected turn as David decides to pray for a brother who has been struggling to understand why life is so challenging, dealing with relationships, finances, health, and a myriad of other areas. After the prayer, something unique occurs: that very same brother calls in. B) The brother, named J, calls in and shares his heartfelt appreciation for the audience’s prayers and encouragement. He opens up about his struggles, but acknowledges that even in the midst of hardship, God has never abandoned him. In fact, he feels he’s drawing closer to the Lord, despite the pain. J’s sharing inspires us all to understand that while we may not always comprehend what’s happening, we can always rely on the Lord’s faithfulness. It’s a moment you must hear to truly appreciate.

1) We begin with Genesis, chapter four, verse 11, where the Lord has just responded to Cain for shedding his brother's blood. It is vitally important for people to understand that God views the shedding of blood as a significant defilement of the planet. A baby has full blood circulation by day 19 post-conception. Shedding innocent blood is murder.2) God informs Cain that his punishment is severe. He has shed blood on the earth, and now the earth will no longer support him. It will not assist him or yield anything for him. No matter how diligently he works, the earth will not produce what he needs. Some Christians believe that this curse applies to their lives when things are not going well. However, this belief is a lie.3) God tells Cain that he will be a homeless wanderer on the Earth, perpetually moving from one place to another. He will never be able to settle down or relax. His former life is over. God is the first to render someone homeless. This is the harsh reality and the consequence of sin.4) Cain acknowledges the severity of his situation, saying it's too much for him to bear. He has been banished from his land and from God's presence. He is doomed to wander forever, and anyone who encounters him will want to kill him. However, the Lord assures him that He will place a mark on him to deter anyone who tries to kill him. Even after this incredible action, a form of mercy is granted to Cain. But the normal blessings of communion with God have been surrendered.

A) 2 Timothy 3:2 builds upon the previous verse about the last times. Perilous times will come. After many years of awesome sauce, our country is in perilous times, more so now than at any time, excluding our civil war. Is this the end? It manifests that way. Is it the VERY end? We will know soon enough. But as we often say, it is closer now, than ever before. And in the end, there will be an increase in persecution. For a reality check, there has been a 100% increase in attacks on Christians and churches in our country in the last year. But where sin does abound, grace does much more abound, and the Lord will never leave us. He will never forsake us.

1) Once again, the “David Spoon Experience” takes a dramatic turn. Today’s show focuses on three distinct components. First, David emphasizes the importance for believers to stay focused on their spiritual goals. It’s easy to feel overwhelmed by the distractions of politics, culture, Hollywood, academia, and other areas that often seem disconnected from God. The crucial aspect is not to lose sight of the faithfulness of the Almighty in every aspect of our lives.2) Next, we have a thought-provoking question from Roslyn. She's wondering how to surrender her struggles to God while keeping her faith strong. It's a challenge many of us face. David, as always, provides practical and scriptural approaches to help us progress without feeling overwhelmed.3) Later, we have a heartfelt request from Samson, who's struggling to maintain his steadfastness and faithfulness. He's a believer, but like many of us, he’s facing some practical issues. Let's all join in prayer for him.4) Shortly thereafter, David receives a call from his friend Noah in San Diego. Noah shares that it’s his birthday and he has decided to start the day with gratitude rather than complaints. This segues into the show’s conclusion, where David prays for Noah and encourages everyone to always remember the attitude of gratitude.

A) Welcome to a unique show about "The David Spoon Experience." Today's show centers around David interviewing Cally Logan. To get more information about Cally Logan, you can go to www.CallyLogan.com. Cally is a phenomenal Christian sister who believes that God has created everybody to be an excellent fit as a part of the mosaic of the Kingdom of God. B) She's also very passionate about believers being authentic. The closer you get to Jesus, the more you understand who you really are, which is an excellent way to understand the connection between the Creator and His creation, which means "you."C) On Cally's website, you can access some of the books that she's written and connect to some of the appearances that she'll be having up and coming. You will also have the opportunity to donate to her ministry. Understanding new and emerging ministries in the Kingdom of God is critical for all of us so that we can join the struggles of one another by praying for one another (see Romans 15:30 and 2 Corinthians 1:10).

1) First, this is going to be a powerful message, and it will also be challenging. The principle essentially comes from Job chapter 33 verse 15: "He speaks in dreams, in visions of the night, when deep sleep falls on people as they lie in their beds." These are often a form of teaching from the Lord. Of course, I'm not talking about the dreams that come from eating too many tacos. I'm talking about the dreams that, upon waking, we know God has spoken to us. These don't happen often, but when they do, they make an impact on our lives. 2)Next, I'm going to share a dreams that I had. The teaching dreams are ways for God to direct our steps in drawing closer to Him, to trust Him more, and to depend on Him more.3) It should be noted that sometimes when the Lord speaks to us and teaches us through dreams, it's hard to hear. In other words, not all the dreams that we have from the Lord are Skittles and rainbows.

A) God desires truth in the innermost being. This is significant because God examines a person’s heart, not their outward appearance. It’s crucial to realize that honesty with ourselves and with God is at the heart of redemption and restoration. If you seek restoration from the Lord, honesty is key.B) What’s remarkable is that David then links this honesty with divine communication. If we’re truthful in our innermost being, God will commune with us there and guide us on the right path. He will help us understand wisdom in our deepest self. This is why belief in Jesus is essential.C) David pleads, “Purge me with hyssop, and I will be clean.” Hyssop is an herb associated with purification and cleansing. Here, David uses it symbolically to represent the cleansing of his soul or inner self. This reference is derived from the Spirit-Filled Life Bible study notes.
