1) As you may know, I have a fondness for revisiting older sermons, defining "older" as anything beyond 12 months. My perspective is simple: Jesus often preached on the same subject multiple times, and there is no better example to emulate. Today's message will focus on the promises of God. We will define what a promise is from both academic and biblical perspectives, and then explore the different types of promises, some of which are conditional, while others are not.2) It's crucial to understand that we encounter God's promises in our lives. For those who doubt this, they likely haven't read the Bible. The promises God made to everyone, from Adam to Zechariah (or from A to Z), are exactly what they seem. God makes a promise to a person, and that person has the opportunity to see that promise fulfilled. But a promise “can be” connected to whether a person walks in faith and obedience. Sometimes, God makes a personal promise to us, which is different from the promises God has made in the Bible. However, the Bible is absolutely correct, but our ability to discern God's voice can sometimes be challenging.3) The key to remembering promises from God is understanding that they are not fickle. God doesn't make a promise and then change His mind. He doesn't say, "I'm going to do this for you," and then decide otherwise the next day because He had a bad sleep. The promises of God are steadfast and reliable. We need to find comfort in these promises because both biblical and personal promises are powerful assurances and commitments of God's goodness, mercy, and grace.4) When God's promises are unconditional, it means they cannot be changed. There is nothing that can alter what God has committed to in any capacity, anywhere, at any time. We must remember God's reliability to understand the reliability of His promises. I'll say it plainly because I care for everyone and want to be honest with myself: when God makes a promise, He isn't fickle about it, unlike us.

A) We continue with Psalm Chapter 50, starting with verse 7. This Psalm, attributed to Asaph, portrays God as the righteous judge. The text states, "Hear, O Israel, I will testify against you. I am your God. I do not rebuke you for your sacrifices." Israel was diligent in their burnt offerings. However, God desires more than just burnt offerings.B) The Holy One, who presides over the universe, declares, "I don't need your offerings. I don't need your bulls or your goats because every beast of the forest is mine." The Lord then reminds the people of Israel, "I own the cattle on a thousand hills. Everything on earth is mine, and I can claim it anytime I want."C) The Lord God then states, "If I were hungry, I wouldn't tell you. If I needed something, I wouldn't tell you. Because this world that you inhabit is mine." Regardless of what anyone says, theologically, academically, politically, socially, or in any other realm, the Earth is the Lord's and everything in it. No person owns anything on Earth. God gave us a limited time to work it, but He never gave us the title. He merely provided us with a lease agreement.

1) It is a Marvelous, Monumental, Most Fascinating, Massively Mind-bending Monday as we join our hearts and minds as one, drawing closer to the King of Kings and glorifying His name.2) Happy anniversary. Happy anniversary. Happy anniversary. Happy anniversary. That should be understood in the. Melodic time of the Flintstones. That’s right, ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls and creatures of all ages and sizes. It is our five year anniversary. So today’s show will not be normal, which is 100% normal, because no show that we actually do is normal. That’s because I don’t even know what normal is. And I haven’t met normal. And I’m not sure that I want to.3) We will do a variety of teachings today that will be reflective of the first time I taught on radio in San Diego as well as the first time I talk on radio in Dallas. Which will technically span 10 years of shows. Which is roughly about 2500 shows. Ranging from 60. Minutes to 120 minutes.4) I will also be sharing some of my more favorite jokes. As well, we will be still covering history since we are making history. And a special bonus for those who can endure during trivia, as we will be giving away prizes for trivia answers. If you’ve never called before, this would be a great time to do so. So buckle up little campers. It’s time to enter the twilight zone with The David Spoon Experience.

1) It's Friday, time for Dr. Dave's Devotional Diamonds of the Day, also known as DDDDD. We delve back into First Peter 3:8-9 to comprehend a part of our calling. The bold apostle elucidates in his epistle that there are several considerations before we respond to someone. It's challenging not to want to react with the same intensity that someone directs at us. However, we must remember that if Jesus had done so, none of us would be alive.2) The next lesson is titled “A Little Gem”. It’s a profound lesson that I hope we can grasp and apply. I will review four specific verses, three from Luke and one from Matthew, that pertain to Jesus preparing us. Most of our prayers are centered around us being in the midst of a trial or even towards the end of one. Sometimes, they’re even closer to the beginning. But I want to introduce a new principle: Preventative Prayer. This type of prayer prevents issues from ever arising. 3) We conclude this week with a phenomenal teaching about the five 'tells' of a person who trusts in God. In card playing, a 'tell' is an action that indicates how a person is going to act. For a Christian, a 'tell' is evidence of our faith. We discover that there are ways to discern, not just for others, but for ourselves, whether we're truly operating in the spirit of trust and confidence in the Lord or operating in something less. Never forget that God desires something more from us.

A) We pick up again at James chapter four, starting with verse 9. The apostle makes it evident that there are times for us to engage in self-examination, to recognize that we are falling short, and to approach the Lord with a very humble and contrite heart. He says, “Grieve, mourn, and weep.” When he mentions turning your laughter into mourning, he’s referring to the act of trivializing our sin, not to laughter as a heartwarming gift.

1) Interestingly, the Pharisees came to Paul's defense. They stood by the possibility that an angel or some form of spirit could have spoken to Paul and that Paul was responding to that. They were so committed to their beliefs that they started shouting in favor of Paul and against the Sadducees, ironically pulling Paul from both sides. The enemy of mt enemy is my friend? Not always. Psalm 41:9 > Even my close friend, someone I trusted, one who shared my bread, has turned against me.2) When passion is out of control and human fervor becomes the authority, problems often arise. The commander could tell they were going to rip Paul in half, so intervening was his only course of action to maintain order. Not a great look for a person.

A) Briefly recapping Jude verse one. I just want everybody to be aware that Jude identifies himself as a servant of Jesus Christ, and not as his brother, even though he is his brother. There is no nepotism going on here. In the early establishment of the Kingdom of God. Additionally, Reminds us that we’re called and My God, and that we are kept by Jesus Christ.B) Verse two begins with mercy, peace and love. And who doesn’t need more mercy in their lives, and who doesn’t need more peace, and who doesn’t need more love Jude praised that these would be multiplied to his readers, by the way, that includes you.C) And here we go into what is considered the most intense and purposeful elements of this letter. As Jude put his time and energy into writing it, he makes it clear that he put every effort to write to us about salvation. But at the same time, he felt it necessary to urge us to earnestly contend for the faith once and for all delivered to the Saints.D) This does not mean, as some erroneously claim, that he’s talking about physically. Contending for the faith that is. Not the weapons of our warfare. The weapons of our warfare are spiritual, not kernel. They are from God. And our weapon is the. Blood of Jesus Christ, the power of the Holy Spirit, the truth of the written word. And the grace that comes from God the father.

1) To tell you the truth, I am extremely excited to teach this next message. It's been a long time since I've taught this. I've mentioned two elements here, which I will discuss. These are things that the Lord communicated to me during two fasts. Sometimes, the details become a bit fuzzy, perhaps due to my aging, but I will do my best to convey to you what the Lord conveyed to me. If anything from this can help you draw closer to the Lord, then it's worth its weight in gold.2) Here's the crux of the matter. The most challenging aspect of our faith is understanding the answer to this simple question: Are we seeking praise from men, or are we seeking praise from God? We will demonstrate that answering this question incorrectly can lead to the crucifixion of Jesus Christ, both in the past and today. We will also examine the danger of befriending those who are not friends of God. We love them, pray for them, and hope for them, but we do not let them influence us.3) You must stand firm in the Lord and not be swayed by those around you. Everyone may think you're crazy, and maybe you are. I know I am a little bit, but if being crazy leads me to spend eternity with God and gain access to heaven through the redeeming work of Jesus Christ, then I will gladly be crazy. 4) We're going to conclude this particular teaching by understanding how Jesus approached the approval of men and God. We aim to follow Jesus's example, and he made it clear whom he was living for, regardless of the cost. I must say this, but I say it with caution: the voice of the people is not the voice of God. Standing with anything other than the voice of God is utter foolishness. We will examine how Jesus processed this in his thinking so we can follow his example.

A) For those who doubt that God speaks the truth, the reality is that we often don’t listen. All one needs to do to witness God’s voice is to observe creation itself. Simply look up to the sky, day or night, and you will hear the voice of God. God is not silent; the reality is that our ears are often plugged.B) Verse 5 is beautiful as it previews our reunion with the Lord, whether this occurs in a rapture or a second coming visible to all. What’s awe-inspiring is that God will gather his saints, his people, upon his command and call. Thus, we will forever be with the Lord. This is the deepest part of our hope: to spend eternity with God. However, this won’t be for everyone, but for those who have made a commitment to serve the Lord God Almighty.

1) In Romans 3:1, Paul poses a unique question: "What advantage is there in being a Jew? Is there any value in the Jewish ceremony of circumcision?" His answer is affirmative. Being a Jew has many advantages. To set the record straight, the biblical declaration in Numbers 24 states that God blesses those who bless Israel and curses those who curse Israel. People in the world may not like it, but as we are His creation, it's His choice.2) That said, it's clear throughout the book of Romans that not everyone who professes to be a Jew is, in fact, Jewish. There's a lot more to being Jewish than just claiming descent from a particular bloodline. A true Jewish person is one whose heart is directed towards the Lord.3) As Paul makes clear, the main advantage of being Jewish is that God entrusted the Jewish people with His revelation. The very oracles that God has for mankind are a privilege and honor to represent. This is what the Jewish nation was intended to be - a light that points to the Lord.4) However, Paul does not mince words. He acknowledges that some people were unfaithful and broke their promises and commitments to the Lord. But does that mean that God will break His promises? Absolutely not. Even if everyone else in the world is a liar, as stated in Psalm 51:4, God is not. God will never break His promises. God will never be unfaithful. God has been, is, and always will be true.
