1) As we return to Genesis, we resume at Genesis 3:4. I'm striving to avoid dissecting this word by word, but it's becoming increasingly challenging. So, please bear with me and continue to show me kindness. In verse four, Satan profoundly disrupts humanity. He simply states, "You won't die." Before this, he was merely sowing doubt. Now, he utters something contrary to the truth. Technically, this is the first lie. "You won't die if you disobey God." That's a lie. The truth is, "You will die if you disobey God."

A) The subsequent verse has been misused to establish points both for and against life’s politics. However, the verse has nothing to do with these. It states that we should not entangle ourselves in this life’s affairs. This doesn’t imply that you shouldn’t get involved in politics, nor does it mean you have to. It signifies that earthly matters are temporary, and our lives should focus on the eternal. B) Paul then provides three examples of what a Christian life resembles: a soldier, an athlete, and a farmer. It’s crucial to note that all three roles require significant effort and commitment. No soldier, athlete, or farmer has a life that’s merely a walk in the park. The first definition is that we should please our captain, who is Jesus. The second definition is that we should compete according to the rules, which represent the truth. Otherwise, we will receive nothing. The last one is the hardworking farmer who gets to enjoy the fruits of his labor.C) Paul states, “Consider what I say, and may the Lord give you understanding in all these things.” It’s evident that people would hear things that Paul wrote, and we even hear things preached from the pulpit. Sometimes, we don’t process them very well. We need God’s grace to understand the truths we encounter fully. Without His help, we’ll never grasp them.D) As previously mentioned, Paul provides a formula for the gospel and salvation. It is Jesus Christ, of the seed of David, raised from the dead. Yes, this formula differs from others because there are multiple formulas in the scriptures. But it is also this simple: the gospel is about Jesus Christ being raised from the dead. That is, in fact, the good news.

1) We’ll explore what it means to be a leader according to God and how to lead with the right spirit. We will approach this alongside the New Testament’s concept of servant leadership. We’ll examine four aspects of leadership defined in the Old Testament. Remember, whether you think you are or not, you, too, are a leader to someone.2) Our next teaching involves the wisdom of being careful regarding whom we form alliances with. This doesn't mean that you can't engage with both saved and unsaved people. That is not the teaching. However, when you decide to form alliances, you need to ensure that there is approval from God. This is because an alliance is much deeper than mere connections; it involves dependence on one another. Confidence in an unfaithful person is akin to a broken tooth or a foot out of joint.3) We concluded today's show with a review of what the wisest man on the planet did when he was at the peak of his wisdom. Everyone knows that Solomon started off great, but then faced tremendous difficulties later in his life. He failed the Lord. It's not as though he won't be in heaven, but the earlier part of his journey is what we aim to emulate. In this teaching, we'll review what Solomon did that pleased the Lord and challenge each other to do the same so we can please the Lord in everything we think, say, and do.

A) Then the apostle says, "You crave what you do not have; you kill and covet, unable to obtain it. You quarrel and fight." It needs to be understood that what the apostle is trying to communicate is that there are things inside of us that have cravings, and we would do anything to get those cravings. When it talks about killing and coveting, it has to do with the internal man feeling anger towards anything and anyone that gets in the way of what they're trying to obtain. B) Then James gets fierier and he says, "You do not have because you do not ask. Well, wait a second. We asked God for plenty of things, don't we? Yes, but he then reiterates, "When you do ask, you don't receive it because you ask with the wrong motives." Christians need to grow up a little here. They don't get things from God just because they ask. They can't be things that are based on the wrong motives or have the wrong spirit attached to them because the answer is no.C) The challenge is that James says, "You ask so that you can squander it on your pleasures," and that is just not the way to live the Christian life. It's not about how you feel, which is 100% connected to pleasures. It's about your obedience to the Lord. It's about your desire to spend eternity with him. And it's about keeping your old man in check and your new man at the forefront. We are then warned, without reservation, "Don't you know that friendship with the world is hostility towards God?" When we live our lives based on our feelings and on our pleasures, we are living our lives in contrast and contradiction to what God created us to be. And that, my friends, is a no-go.

As another show that goes in its own direction, Dave ends up praying for various people who call in. Then he shares about some of his own failures. On top of that, there's a discussion about understanding the difference between demanding a sign and asking for a sign from the Lord: And how that's portrayed in Scripture. David closes the show by talking about the necessity of us having our full heart committed to the Lord, because otherwise we're giving Satan an opportunity to take advantage of us.

Despite our plans, unexpected events often occur. Sergio posed an insightful question about the ‘Hand of God’. David elaborated on how such metaphors aid our understanding of God. This was followed by a brief discussion initiated by our younger brother, Samson. He inquired about the interpretation of Revelation 15 and the Mystery of Babylon. David provided a manifold millennialist perspective. The show also includes prayers for the audience.

A Top Show: 1) This is now one of my favorite messages. I have a top 10 list that I've shared over the last 40 years, and this ranks among those top 10. The insight the Lord granted me stemmed from the guidance of others, along with a blend of personal experiences. Here's my understanding: I know nothing, but in Jesus Christ, all wisdom and knowledge are encompassed. What could be more profound than growing in our faith and understanding of who holds authority?2) I've had the blessing and opportunity to deliver this message in multiple churches. Let's grasp something crucial: being in the perfect will of God doesn't shield us from trials, issues, or struggles. However, it signifies that we are precisely where God intends us to be, with a purpose behind every challenge we face. So, regardless of the hurricanes or whirlwinds we encounter, they are no match for the One who guides us through these trials.3) In this material, we'll uncover one of the most significant moments—between master and servant, disciple and rabbi, and the Lord God Almighty and humanity. Often, without being honest, we question God, asking, "Don't you care?" When things appear dire, emotions overwhelm, and control slips away, we feel like we're drowning. The pivotal question remains: "Don't you care?"4) I'm still amazed because it makes me realize how closely connected I am to the disciples. When Jesus spoke to them, he simply asked, "Where is your faith?" You believed I am the Messiah, and you believed I could provide for and assist you. Now, facing a trial beyond your capacity, what happened to your faith? Has it endured, or has it vanished? Everything boils down to this simple process: Who is this we are dealing with? Who is this that has called us by name and directed our lives? When we answer that question, we discover the truth.

A Top Show: A) Psalm 49:16 makes it unequivocal: the desire for someone other than you to amass great wealth should not instill fear. In this context, "don't be awed" is the intended meaning. There's no need to revere or fear them simply because the splendor of their household has grown. It's crucial to grasp that those experiencing such an increase without a connection to God will ultimately have nothing.B) The key insight here is that when a person passes away, they carry nothing with them. A formerly renowned male rocker once expressed a belief in purchasing entry into heaven when facing God. However, this notion is groundless. As 1 Timothy 6:7 makes evident, we bring nothing into this world and will take nothing out. Whether you were an Egyptian king or a Muslim warrior, at death, all that remains is your relationship with God.C) Consider Proverbs within the framework of Psalms. In verse 18, it is stated that while a living man may receive blessings, those who admire him will praise his success. It seems wonderful—everyone, including the person in question, views them as fantastic. This admiration persists until their death, at which point everything they accomplish becomes inconsequential. Regardless of human praise, there exists a profound level of accountability beyond self-aggrandizement.D) Scripture unambiguously asserts that individuals of this nature will perish, never to see the light or comprehend. A person blessed but lacking understanding is akin to a perishing beast—ignorant and devoid of comprehension. Despite their obliviousness, they will be held accountable for all. Receiving the Lord's blessings is indeed remarkable, yet one must remember that it is the Lord's doing, not a testament to being the greatest on Earth.

1) As we continue to delve into Romans, we have reached chapter two, verse eight. This could be one of the great indictments in the Holy Writ. The author, under the power of the Spirit, writes that God will pour out His anger and wrath upon those who live for themselves, refuse to obey the truth, and practice evil deeds. Living for ourselves incurs the wrath and anger of God, regardless of whether we are Christians or not. For non-believers, it results in eternal judgment. For believers, it leads to divine disappointment.2) Another significant truth begins in verse nine. There will be trouble for everyone who continues to sin. For Christians, these sins will be covered by the blood of Jesus, but trouble will still ensue. This is why James refers to the need for prayer for healing regarding our sins.3) Along with the bad news comes the good news, which is what the gospel is all about. Those who persist in sinning and rebelling against God will face a difficult future. However, for those who live for the glory of the Lord, there will be glory, honor, and peace from God Himself. This glory, honor, and peace are not like what the world gives, which are always fleeting and never enduring. The glory, honor, and peace that God gives are eternal. That’s what we’re striving for.4) It’s important to note that this process applies to both Jews and Gentiles. The Gospel is first given to the Jews, then to the Gentiles. The same order applies to judgment, honor, and rewards. The reason is simple: the Jews are God’s chosen people. They are first, and they get first dibs. That’s why Jesus’s ministry was to the Jews first. There’s nothing unusual or wrong about reaching out to your own children first.5) For those of us who love the word of God, verse 13 presents an extreme challenge. The Lord makes it clear that merely knowing the law is not enough to find God’s approval. The Word is essential, but knowing the Word and never putting it into practice is foolish. We can know of the Word just like we can know of God. To know the Word is to do the Word, to live in the Word, and to honor the Word because they are, in fact, the very words of God.

A) In Matthew 17:21, Jesus begins to speak very plainly to his disciples about his impending death. It’s important to note that he doesn’t share this with everyone, but specifically with his disciples. He starts to describe the events that will unfold, painting a grim picture. This is difficult for many to comprehend, but Jesus was warning them about the dangers that lay ahead. The Christian life isn’t all joy and happiness.B) He informs his disciples that he will have to suffer at the hands of the leaders, the leading priests, and the teachers of the law. He then delivers the shocking news that he will be killed, only to be resurrected on the third day. The disciples, not fully understanding the concept of eternal resurrection, might have found the idea of Jesus being killed deeply unsettling. It could have led them to question whether all their efforts had been in vain. This is a feeling many of us can relate to.C) Recall that just ten verses prior, Peter had given one of the most profound acknowledgments ever, affirming that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of the living God. Yet, within moments, Peter pulls Jesus aside and insists that he will not die. This small section encapsulates a lot, not least the idea that when we get one thing right, we often assume we know everything. Another key takeaway is how quickly one can go from a moment of triumph to a moment of humility.D) However, Jesus is on a mission, and nothing will deter him. He turns to Peter in front of the other disciples and says, “Get behind me, Satan. You’re a dangerous trap.” The trap that Satan was setting for Jesus, using Peter, was the emotional pull. Jesus clarifies that Peter is only seeing things from a human perspective, not considering heaven or eternity. This serves as a stark reminder for all of us that when we operate on the human plane instead of the divine plane, we quickly give Satan an opening and fail to see things from God’s perspective.

1) As we delve into Genesis chapter three, we encounter a significant problem for the human race. The opening verse describes the Serpent as the most cunning of all creatures that the Lord had made. Interestingly, the cunningness of the Serpent was not in its appearance but in its words.2) The classic King James version states, "Yea, hath God said," while the New Living Translation asks, "Did God really say you must not do this?" If you perceive a significant difference between these two phrases, you're being deceived. The enemy's specific goal is to challenge the truth with lies. 3) It's worth noting that in this initial process of temptation, the devil introduces a question into the discussion. Tactically, he doesn't always declare the lie before introducing doubt against the truth. In other words, Satan first challenges the truth, and then speaks the lies.4) In his tactic, the enemy attempts to portray God as more restrictive than he is, insinuating that God is a killjoy. When the enemy asks Eve if she is not allowed to eat any of the fruit, her response is specific: "Yes, we may. It is only the fruit at the center that we are not allowed to eat."5) Those Christian movements that believe Adam did not instruct his wife are entirely wrong. Eve clearly understood the commandment, as do we, but we often disregard it. It's "could be" fanciful to think that Eve added extra commandments apart from Adam. They were simply supposed to avoid this altogether in order to be obedient. But many people differ on this.

A) Second Timothy, 2:3 states that we must endure hardship as good soldiers of Jesus Christ. This scripture is a direct reflection of the Christian walk’s character. This journey is not a cakewalk or a path where everything goes your way because you say so. It’s a walk of warfare, a journey between darkness and light, good and evil, not between positive and negative words, but between biblical truth and lies.
