1) In Romans chapter 1, verse 25, Paul does not mince words. He condemns those who exchange the truth of God for a lie and worship the creature rather than the Creator. This passage is one that the woke and LGBTQRSTUVWXYZ+ community cannot tolerate. But we do not compromise the word of God to please people. We serve the living God and if people oppose us for it, we are ready to suffer. We will not apologize for standing in the truth, by the truth, and for the truth. Because we live in his truth.2) People choose to believe a lie about God in order to escape from his accountability. They prefer to worship the creation rather than the Creator. This is the main theme of chapter 1 in the book of Romans. God, who is the source of all life, deserves eternal praise. But these people, who owe their existence to him, have decided to rob him of the glory and the service he deserves. They live by their feelings, not by his will. People who live by their feelings are not connected to God. Because we are commanded to live by love, and love is a choice.3) In verse 26, we find some of the most severe words for those who hate God and reject his commands. God gives them up to dishonorable passions. He specifically mentions women who exchange natural relations for unnatural ones and men who abandon the natural use of women and burn with lust for other men. They mock God with their sin.4) It does not matter what the false prophets from academia, the media, the entertainment industry, or politics say about this. Even if they include a senile old president. Their opinions are irrelevant. They do not speak for God. Only God's children speak for God. And the truth is that people who engage in homosexual relations will face the penalty they deserve.5) Can these same people be saved? Absolutely. God can redeem anyone who softens their heart and turns to him in surrender. But if they continue to be defiant, they will face God's judgment. If that were not the case, then God would not be JUST to those who have followed him.

A) Matthew 16:17. After Peter makes his profound confession, Jesus responds, "You are blessed." Let's pause for a moment and contemplate. Often, we try to manipulate God to receive His blessings. However, acknowledging Jesus Christ as the Lord and Messiah is the ultimate blessing. All spiritual gifts, riches, and heavenly wonders become accessible to us through Jesus.B) Jesus continues, affirming, "You know this, and you are blessed because my Father in heaven has revealed it to you." This blessing isn't based on our wisdom, intelligence, attractiveness, or cleverness. It stems from God's grace, which is the essence of salvation. Jesus emphasizes that this knowledge is not acquired from human sources. Salvation is always a result of God's grace, not our efforts.

1) God formed man out of the dust. Stop. Every priest who has ever said that God scooped the dirt and dug deep into the soil and that the color of that soil was dark is a political hack who is biblically clueless. The dust, referred to in Genesis, is the word “A-PAR” and is the top layer of the soul, like the top dusting on sand.2) And breathed in the man “the breath of life. And man became a living being.” Job states, The Spirit of God has made me, and the breath of the Almighty gives me life (Job 33:4). There is ZERO question that the breath that came from God is The Holy Spirit. The same breath that God poured into Adam is living in you. From Adam, but again, from Jesus Christ. That is why you are born again.3) At the center of the garden, which was a portion of Eden, were two trees. The was the Tree of Life and the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil. At the center of the existence of mankind…is a choice.

A) This might be one of the ultimate resurrection texts. In verse 10, it says that Jesus Christ brought life and immortality to light through the gospel. This is a gentle way of saying that He brought the ability to see and achieve immortality through the gospel - the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. The part about immortality is that Jesus has risen again, never to die again.B) You have to admire Paul when he says, “I know whom I have believed and am persuaded.” This might be a crucial element for each of us operating in the true principle of faith. We should know whom we believe. We should not just know of Him but know Him in a close, intimate relationship through experiential knowledge. Epignosis.

1) The first one is titled "Choose Now". What can that possibly mean other than we have to choose? The question is, what is it that we're choosing? Every time we make a decision, we have to choose for one kingdom or another. But oftentimes, we rarely consider the kingdom implications. In the Gospel of Luke, Jesus challenges the religious leaders to make a declaration about their choices. Were those choices geared towards heaven or towards earth, towards spirit or towards flesh, towards now or towards eternity?2) This next DVD is tremendously ferocious. The real question is, can everything we go through, the ups and the downs, the frustrations and the victories, the successes and the failures, be from God? Can everything we go through be part of God's plan for us to grow up in Jesus? Does he really have that much control? Your answer to that question conveys your understanding of truth.3) We take a few extra moments in today's show to acknowledge our great friend Pastor Ray, who's again dancing on the streets of gold. Sometimes I read his devotions, and they just encourage me to draw closer to the Lord. Sometimes, I read his devotions, and they just make me want to go to heaven. Ray talks about where life begins. I know what everybody's starting to think: biological terms and politics. But that's all wrong. Ray reveals the place, the moment, and the truth about real life.

A) The Book of James, Chapter 3, Verse 15, presents an incredibly effective tool for us to understand that there are two kinds of wisdom. There is wisdom that is from above, and then there is the earthly, unspiritual, and demonic wisdom. It’s either wisdom from above or wisdom that has evil tied to its foundation. It’s worth noting that the wisdom that’s not from above is both earthly and demonic.B) James identifies the wisdom that is worldly, earthly, unspiritual, and demonic by stating that wherever jealousy and selfish ambition exist, this is evidence that the wisdom is not from above. Consider these two elements: jealousy means that you want what somebody else has, and selfish ambition means that you want to have what nobody else does. Either way, wisdom that exalts oneself is demonic at its core.C) Then comes the definition of the wisdom from above. It has multiple components and should be understood that way. The first component of all is that it is pure. It is unpolluted, and there is nothing dark or evil in it. That is why the wisdom from God is pure.D) Next, the wisdom from above is peaceful, gentle, accommodating, full of mercy, and good things. It’s impartial and sincere. It is most powerfully defined as peacemakers who sow in peace and reap the fruit of righteousness. Technically, there are eight elements listed in this, two of which are peace. One element that often gets overlooked is that the wisdom from above is gentle. This is where people get the saying that the Holy Spirit is a gentleman. Sometimes, God is polite about things.

1) In Acts chapter 22:3, Paul shares his testimony. He speaks of his upbringing, his high level of education, and his zealous adherence to the laws and customs of his people, all in an effort to honor God. He confesses, “I used to do what you are doing to me right now - persecuting the followers of the Way.” Paul was ruthless, imprisoning believers in chains.2) However, on his journey to Damascus, something transformative happened to Paul. He began sharing his testimony, recounting the unexpected change of plans. He humorously notes that people often believe they are masters of their destiny until an unforeseen event, akin to a piano falling on their head, occurs. The first thing Paul experienced was a bright light that shone all around him. It’s important to remember that the gospel brings us out of darkness and into His marvelous light.

A) In 2 Corinthians 12:11, Paul states that he has become a fool for Christ, driven to this point by the Corinthians. He acknowledges that he has been boasting about himself, but he also recognizes that there is nothing and no one that can boast outside of the Lord. He emphasizes that apart from the Lord, we are nothing. If God gives us breath, then everything we’ve ever done with that breath is because of God.B) Paul, referring to himself as an apostle, makes an impressive statement. He acknowledges that his ministry has been marked by signs, wonders, and miracles, all of which were displayed with great perseverance. He dispels the notion that every miracle we pursue is as simple as opening a fortune cookie. Instead, he asserts that miracles are always connected to our relationship with the Lord and manifest through perseverance.C) Paul employs a bit of sarcasm, expressing regret for not being a bigger burden to the Corinthians. He sarcastically asks for forgiveness for not being a bigger nuisance.D) At this point, we see Paul’s human side. He isn’t seeking gifts or money from the Corinthians; he’s seeking their hearts. He’s even willing to go the extra mile and take care of everything himself to establish sincerity. However, he questions whether his love for them will result in them loving him less.E) Paul returns to sarcasm, stating that he wasn’t a burden to the Corinthians. Despite not being crafty, sneaky, and a trickster, he insists that he didn’t exploit or take advantage of them. All he did was try to help, and everyone he worked with shared the same attitude and spirit. No one is trying to take advantage of the Corinthians.

1) We are going to jam with Deuteronomy 8. I’m going to share with you a “never shared before” teaching that was under the Dynamic Application Principle for Noelle and me but also has a broad impact on each one of us who hears God’s word. Several principles are in this material, but we will do our best to present each one as it builds upon the other principles. Your job, if you decide to accept it, is to determine which principles (or multiple principles) apply to you and how they can be inserted into your practical biblical thinking and actions. 2) The first value is to understand that in Deuteronomy 8:7, we see God bringing Israel into a NEW LAND. We often teach this insight at the beginning of a new year, but its’ application is always available. This can be relationships, jobs, finances, ministries, fellowships, health, attitudes, mindsets, routines, geographies, or anything else that is a part of our Christian journey. God is always NEW doing things. Instead of thinking you are in a rut, let's start seeing the new that God wants us to walk in.3) Along with God, bringing us into a new land is the understanding of Jeremiah 29:11 which talks about how God has plans for us. They’re not plans to hurt us or to ruin us or to destroy us. In truth, they are plans to give us a hope and a future, something to look forward to, something that we can focus on in the Lord. This will help us push through the mundane and get to the level of freshness and newness that God wants to pour into our minds and hearts. The ticket is to understand that while we don’t understand its full revelation, we have a chore to engage in while we're on this adventure.4) Yeah. So what is that ticket? Well, that’s pretty straightforward. When we have come to the place where we have eaten and have been satisfied, we are told that we need to praise the Lord. Why that is critical is because if we don't thank the Lord for the good things that are going on, we will forget the Lord and tend to think of the NEW as our own accomplishment. Wow. Nope.

A) Psalm 48 verse 1: We acknowledge that the Lord is great and worthy of high praise. Let’s pause for a moment and reflect on His greatness. Yes, God is good, great, awesome, and phenomenal. But we must remember that when we refer to God as being great, we’re speaking of His quality, and His quality is indeed great.B) In response to His greatness, our praise should be equally grand. It should not be legalistic, restricted, or restrained. Quite the contrary, our praise should mirror what will happen in heaven, where praise will be unending. We need to learn to praise the Lord greatly and understand that the very breath in our lungs was given to us to glorify His name. No one is worthy of the great praise that is God’s due.C) We have a beautiful hymn titled ‘Great is the Lord.’ It goes, ‘Great is the Lord and greatly to be praised in the city of our God and in the mountain of His holiness. Beautiful in elevation, the joy of the whole Earth is Mount Zion.’ What people often forget is that Mount Zion is the center of worship, the worship throne of the whole Earth.”D) The psalmist writes, ‘As we have heard, so we have seen.’ This means that the way it was declared is the way it is. The word of God has been declared, and that’s the way it is.E) We have reflected on God’s kindness, and so we offer praises to the ends of the Earth. Perhaps one day, we can engrave this on our foreheads. When we think of God’s kindness and how it exceeds everything every day for everyone, we recognize that this brings us to a place of wanting to offer up thanksgiving and praise to Him. He who gave us life and life more abundant. When you are down and discouraged, consider the kindness that God has poured upon you. It will lift up your soul.

1) In Romans Chapter 1, Verse 21, Paul’s indictment is clear: those who knew God but chose not to worship Him or express gratitude are destined to face eternal consequences for this grave insult.2) To evade accountability, people often resort to fabricating foolish conceptions of God. This leads to their minds becoming clouded and confused as they replace the true nature of God with their own preferred version.3) Ironically, these individuals perceive themselves as wise for crafting their unique understanding of God. However, the reality is that they are misguided and foolish, a truth they will soon realize when confronted by God.4) In their ignorance, people turn to idol worship, venerating humans, birds, animals, snakes, and other absurd and sinful entities.5) God, in response, allows them to engage in whatever shameful acts they desire. Consequently, they commit vile acts with each other’s bodies, treating God’s temple like a house of prostitution. They invite foul and dark spirits to enter and take control. This is the choice they’ve made: to worship themselves above God. Every decision has consequences, both in the now and the later.

A) Matthew chapter 16, verse 13. We come to part one of the great declarations that Peter makes about Jesus Christ. In this text, Jesus asks his disciples a question. Don't be surprised if God asks you a question. The irony behind this question is that it is the same question for every person. Jesus simply asks, "Who do people say that the Son of Man is?"B) Their initial replies are quite human. As a collective group, they say, "Some say John the Baptist, others Elijah, and others Jeremiah or one of the prophets." This means either a major prophet or a minor prophet. When people are asked questions, they often defer to what the majority says or thinks. That's not abnormal. It's just simply not sufficient when it comes to the things of God.C) Then Jesus takes that same question and poses it directly to the disciples individually. "Who do you say that I am?" What Jesus is asking his disciples is to pull away from what the general masses think and make an individual decision, evaluation, judgment, determination, assessment, declaration, and proclamation. This is the same question he asks every person. "Who do you say I am?"D) Peter's answer is legendary, and we love it. And all of us wish, hope, and somewhat believe we would give the same answer. He says, "You are the Christ, the Messiah, the Son of the living God." There are many answers that people give to who Jesus is. Within my own family, one of those answers is that Jesus is a great moral teacher. If people don't move from declaring Jesus as a great moral teacher to Jesus as the Christ, the Messiah, they are missing their opportunity for eternity.E) Next week, we will address part two of Peter's great declaration and Jesus's response.
